Yilmaz now mum on Ruffa, to give ‘reputation’ back
MANILA, Philippines — While Yilmaz Bektas remained accommodating to text messages from Filipino entertainment reporters, he would not reply any comment regarding his estranged wife, Ruffa Gutierrez.
In a text message to a reporter from the GMA-7 showbiz oriented talk show “Startalk,” Yilmaz only revealed he was “touring the world in a white horse,” and jokingly referred to himself as “bad boy Yilmaz.”
When asked about Ruffa, Yilmaz said he had given the “last interview” on the “endless pages of our book.” He then gave the stern message: “NO comment.”
But Yilmaz did mention that he would soon come to the Philippines to visit Ruffa and their children.
Ruffa had said she would welcome Yilmaz if ever he decided to come to the Philippines for her birthday celebration on Sunday. She added Yilmaz was also welcome anytime to visit their kids, a sentiment also shared by Ruffa’s mother Annabelle Rama.
According to the TV host-actress, Yilmaz had told her that his birthday gift was to “give her reputation back.”
“Tamang-tamang naman. Siya yung nagsira (ng reputation ko), dapat lang ibalik niya yon,” Ruffa told reporters during her birthday bash at the Alchemy Club on Wednesday.
But Ruffa stressed that her lines with Yilmaz would remain open “for a lifetime,” because they would continue to discuss the future of their kids, Lorin and Venice.
Siya ang nagsira ng sarili nyang reputasyon, hats off to Yilmaz for not coming to her B-day celebration or else paguusapan na naman yon…tignan nyo di masyadong talk of the town yong B-day nya.
