He said – I don’t want to talk. It didn’t say, ‘ I don’t want to talk about it.’ – - So I guess this is goodbye. After 4 years of being together.. maybe it’s time to let go.

I am sad. I am sad because we both tried. We tried to keep it together. He cared for me and I cared for him. I loved him and he loved me. But unless we talk it out, there will be nothing. Nothing can come from silence – you all know that.

I was with friends tonight. They consoled me. I hope someday I will learn to understand what happened. I love my friends – dearly. They are my life. I was without someone for over 10 years and I had nothing but my friends. I cannot be made to choose between my boyfriend and my friends. It will be unfair for both.

I prayed two weeks before this happened. I asked God to show me a sign if it wasn’t meant to be. I asked Him sincerely and He answered me sincerely. I didn’t know it was going to be this quick.

I love him – yes I do. But who wants to love someone who doesn’t love you? Who wants to be with someone who doesn’t want to be with you?

I will miss him, that’s for sure.. but I already have my answer. We were not meant to be together.

Sona Bath 2007 – - What’s up with that?

I was speaking with Reyna Elena this evening.  She was ecstatic and annoyed at the same time.  Her blog pageviews and unique hits raised to an all-time high since he posted the SONA 2007 Summary by President Arroyo.   He was really glad about that.

Now, he’s receiving tons of emails from Poli-Sci students from all over the Philippines.  What is this?  Is it a project that needs to be completed?  I thought it was funny but I told her that she should be glad!  Even  Manuel L. Quezon III picked up on the summary.  Wow!  Ang galing!

So I thought — hmm… maki-ki-rayd nga ako!  Hmp.

Paris Hilton Loses $60 Million

Wow – I just read that Paris Hilton lost her inheritance and will be provided to charity.  Hmmm.. that is not such a bad idea don’t you think?  Apparently, her grandfather decided that it’s best for the money to be used for a good cause…   I applaud him.  Paris makes millions anyway so who cares?!!

 

 On top of it all – - E! decided not to pick up The Simple Life for another season.  How sad.  Yeah, whatever!  Do they really need the money?

Summer is almost over – - Waaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhh!!!

I still cannot believe it.. summer came — and I could feel it slipping through like a dream. Whatever happened to planning on going to the beach, camping, fishing, roller-blading at the park? Sheesh – - I feel like I’m getting older each day!!!

And guess what? My diet is in shambles!! I can’t even seem to keep on any diet that I go into. I think the only way for me is to not eat period!!! Geez! I never had this problem before – - – but now, I can’t seem to resist food!

Of course, I’m looking for ways to re-motivate myself. I thought this clip would, but it made me more depressed!

Why would you host your website?

Do you have a small business? If so, have you created a website for it to drive traffic to your business? I know that most small businesses think that it is a waste of good capital to put up a website but believe me, speaking from experience – my website had generated more traffic to my business than anything else.

I met a friend through blogging and I have visited his blog many times even before he went and got his own domain name. I saw how neat and organized his blog is. I was definitely impressed and much more, he has become a good friend of mine.

I thought about him when I joined Pay Per Post. I really didn’t start blogging seriously until I realized that there is money to be made doing it. Once I started blogging, I’ve blog-hopped through ShoeMoney and ProBlogger only to realize that the potential for earning money while blogging is unlimited.

Since I really admired Oboids’ blog, I asked him if he wanted to make money. Actually, I do this to most of my close friends of whom three have already started. I just saw oboid’s first post and I was ecstatic. He actually did it!

Of Babies and Showers…

 

I always enjoyed baby showers with baby shower themes. Just to know that it is in preparation to welcome a life into the world makes it worthy enough but imagine all those cute little gifts that come with it. There are lots of themes available these days but Winnie the Pooh is definitely my favorite. For one thing, the story is one that I read over and over again when I was a child. I have also watched the cartoons version of it over a million times!!

Most of the baby showers I’ve attended recently were of which the baby’s gender was known. The orgaznizers would either ask the parents if they have started a theme for the baby’s room or something to that effect. It could be a princess theme for a girl or a Winnie the Pooh’s playful theme for either a boy or a girl. It adds to the uniqueness of it all. Baby Shower themes have become popular and it usually displayed by use of tableware, decorations and party supplies. I know that Winnie the Pooh Baby Shower theme is popular as I’ve attended many a baby shower with this theme. It’s cute and it’s amazing because at times, the parent’s have prepared all things including bedroom wallpaper, lamps and crib to the same theme.

I am the youngest of ten siblings. You could just imagine how many baby showers I have been to just for my family alone. I have 27 nephews and nieces, and several of them have had children as well. Gosh I’m getting old!! I do enjoy it and if I can only have a baby shower of my own – - I am definitely choosing the Winnie the Pooh Baby Shower theme.

 

Sad Love Story…

I am going through something right now with my boyfriend.  Certainly,  I am not ready for all the drama but I have to face it.  Whatever comes, break up or not – - it just has to be.

I have a good friend that is inviting me for a retreat in New Mexico – and I am so ready for one.  I have to make my plans and see if I could take off for a couple of days and reflect on where my life is right now.

I am sad – - but that’s what life is all about right.  Ups – Downs – - hopefully, this will turn out alright.   Keep me in your prayers…

My Kitchen redesigned…. part 2

So, everything was done. I had new kitchen cabinets, I had a new garbage disposal installed with a drop sink, a brand new stainless steel refrigerator and a new dishwasher. What else is missing? The remodeling of the floor.

It was difficult to decide because the contractor that I hired only does the kitchen cabinets and has no idea about flooring. I was thinking of installing glass tiles and possibly marble tiles to grace the floor. I am tired of linoleum, and to upgrade a kitchen without changing the flooring is like flying to Paris without getting off the plane.

I have several ideas and I am thinking of using glass tile to put up a back splash and also marble tiles for the flooring. I have to recheck my budget and my allocated allowance for the kitchen flooring. The floor space is small so it wouldn’t cost me that much specially if it is an easy-to-install tiles that I can put up myself.

I am still unsure but I definitely want to replace the flooring. Decisions decisions…

I want to learn how to re-upholster

I have two butterfly chairs in the living room needs re-upholster. These are beautiful butterfly back chair that was given to me by my brother-in-law when I bought my house seven years ago. It has stood the test of time but I think I am tired of the fabric. I need to replace it and I don’t want to spend that much reupholstering it. Well, for one – I need to learn how.

But before I do that, I wanted to check out the possibilities so I started looking for discount velvet upholstery fabric. I know velvet might seem a little too much but the chair compliments it. The wood, and it’s design is SCREAMING for velvet. The problem is deciding on what type of velvet and what color.

I have a friend in Landsdowne, PA that does this for a hobby. I remember when I lived in the same apartment building with him, he would ask me to walk around with him during the state pickup schedule for bulk items (such as old refrigerators, old furniture like cabinets, sofas and the like). He would ask me to help him pick up these great sofas and chairs that are not in the best condition but pretty much has a lot of character. Then, we could shop for the perfect discount velvet upholstery fabric and reupholster the piece. I’m telling you – it is so perfect that one would think it came from Ethan Allen.

I want to learn how to do this so today, I decided to purchase a book and read up on it. I want to be able to put life back into old pieces and have it grace my home as a conversational piece or a piece of furniture that I could hand down to other people for years to come!

My idol has done it again.  I mean, how can you spend 260M a year?  Hmmm – - I can think of ways, believe me.  The real question is, how do you earn that much.  Multiple streams of income my friends – - a venture here, a venture there – - money here, money there..

Received an email regarding Prison Inmates in Cebu perfoming Thriller by Michael Jackson

It was really perfect timing. I was just reading it the other night on Reyna’s blog entry and LMAO when I saw the Youtube videos of the Cebu Detention Center doing the Thriller, Radio Gaga and Sister Act. It was very entertaining. I even commented a few because of how hilarious and magnificent it is at the same time.

The article was about the video from the Cebu Provincial Detention and Rehabilitation Centre, showing the prisoners’ remake of Michael Jackson’s thriller. It’s all part of their rehab activities.

It’s already number 1 on YouTube this week, and the 14th highest-rating of all time.

BP- Environmental Impact on their actions

The had been some bad press that circulated regarding the BP that appeared on Chicago Tribune recently. According to the report, BP as an advertised eco-friendly company is investing 3.8 Billion USD expansion to allow the company to refine Canadian Crude oil. This is to minimize our reliance of oil from the Middle East.

The report stated that BP is already one of the largest polluters of the Great Lakes and with their new water permit, it stated that they can release more ammonia and 35 per cent more sludge. When in truth, BP will only be releasing ‘treated water’ which contains 99.9% water than sludge. And even if they release more ammonia, it still falls below the EPA standards. The permit would have not been allowed BP if it is known that the deal will cause harm in human and aquatic life.

It also stated that the expansion will only create 80 full time jobs. That may be true but it wasn’t mentioned that the expansion will create 2000 new jobs, on top of the current 1700 employees and 1500 contract workers. The 80 employees will be the total retained employees upon completion.

We all know the importance of oil independence from the Middle East, specially these days. With the wake of 9/11, we haven’t really much improved resources to be independent of Middle East oil. This is a step forward as discussed on the editorial on news-sentinel.com.

BP has been around for 117 years and has served its community well. It has promised that it will keep its high standards and has committed to civic and environmental leadership and would like to continue serving its neighbors for many more years to come.

It is true that environmentalists watch that this doesn’t become the norm, but rather pull together and hold BP accountable if it does not meet the promises that they made.

I need a vacation!!!!!!!!!! Arrrrgghhhhh!!!

With the weather being so cold up here on the Northeast recently, I sometimes wonder if summer is over already. I can’t believe that yesterday, the highs only reached 84 degrees which is normally 88 degrees on the average. And the lows was 62 degrees which normal average is 65 degrees.

I am afraid that I will not see another day of sun and tan around here. I am thinking of going to Orlando, FL. I remember my very first trip to Orlando to visit my brother – it was perfect (although it does get really hot at times), sunny and breezy and cool in the mornings. We ended up visiting Epcot Center, Disney World, and Universal Studios in the three days that we were there. When the weather is that good, you wouldn’t mind falling in lines for the roller coaster rides and other adventure rides.

My brother’s birthday is coming up in August and it would be a great time for a family reunion. Orlando vacation rentals are ideal for these types of gathering as we bring the whole family there and spend quality time together. Tammy Faye Messner left this world on July 22nd. God rest her soul.

RALEIGH, N.C. — Tammy Faye Messner, who as Tammy Faye Bakker helped her husband, Jim, build a multimillion-dollar evangelism empire and then watched it collapse in disgrace, has died at the age of 65.
Mrs. Messner, who had battled colon cancer since 1996 that more recently spread to her lungs, died at her home Friday, said Joe Spotts, her booking agent. A family service was held yesterday in a private cemetery, where her ashes were interred, he said.She had frequently spoken about her medical problems, saying she hoped to be an inspiration to others. “Don’t let fear rule your life,” she said. “Live one day at a time, and never be afraid.” But she told well-wishers in a note on her website in May that the doctors had stopped trying to treat the cancer.

In an interview with CNN’s Larry King that aired last week, an emaciated Mrs. Messner, wearing her trademark makeup, said, “I believe when I leave this earth, because I love the Lord, I’m going straight to heaven.” Asked whether she had any regrets, Mrs. Messner said: “I don’t think about it, Larry, because it’s a waste of good brain space.”

For many, the TV image of then-Mrs. Bakker forgiving husband Jim’s infidelities, tears streaking her cheeks with mascara, became a symbol for the wages of greed and hypocrisy in 1980s America.

How to be debt-free…

Managing money is most encouraging if you have money. What’s the point of managing your money if don’t have any right? Wrong. In order to be able to manage your money, you have to start making it first. How? Lots of ways. You have read my postings on penny-pinching, you certainly read my entries on how you should take control of your finances.

One of the hindrances that people face that also extends to discouragement in taking care of their finances is the burden of debt. Using your money wisely earlier in your life gives you a better chance of staying in the course of making your money work for you and stop you from working for money. If you do not practice discipline and force yourself to tighten your belts and spend only on what’s necessary, you may face dire circumstances later. If you are in debt now, you should obtain debt help from organizations that offer them. If you find yourself in the red month after month after month and using your credit card to fill the gap – you may be in serious trouble.

I remember my friend’s mom every time he would ask his mom for money, would always tell my buddy – if you can’t pay, don’t play. She was trying to teach him that spending money that you don’t have is not a good way to start your life. But if you think that it’s to late because you are already buried in debt, debt help is available everywhere. Get your courage up, and admit that you need help. Once you get there, it is easier to surrender all and start paying off your debt. Believe me, there is not a greater feeling than to be debt-free. Eartha Kitt – A truly remarkable entertainer

I went to Rehoboth Beach, DE with papa to weekends ago.  While shopping at the outlet stores, I saw a CD of Eartha Kitt.  A song included in the album is ‘Waray Waray’.  I heard of it before and wanted to listen to her sing ‘Waray Waray’ so I bought the CD.  On the way home, we were listening to the song over and over again.  But we didn’t get the chance to hear the whole CD.

Yesterday, we were travelling to Atlantic City with my maid and my assistant.  We were listening to Regine for a while and then got tired of it.  So we switched to Eartha Kitt’s CD.  This is the first time I heard the whole album and it was fantastic!!  I mean, she can speak French fluently, and also sing the words to ‘Waray Waray’ as if it was her native tongue.  So we started asking questions.  Is she American?  African?  Where did she come from?  She is a fabulous entertainer and singer.  In the middle of the song while singing ‘Waray Waray’, she mentions that she and her daughter used to stay with Mr. and Mrs. Marcos when in the Philippines.  And whenever she has a concert, Mrs. Marcos would sit in the front  and yell out, “Eartha – sing ‘Waray Waray!”  She would oblige but every time she does, Mrs. Marcos couldn’t help but sing with her every time!!

I was determined to find out Eartha’ s history and I found it!  Wherelse?  Wikipedia!!

Lindsay Lohan to face DUI charges

AP wrote “Lindsay Lohan was booked on suspicion of driving under the influence in connection with a Memorial Day weekend car crash, police said.

Lohan, accompanied by her attorney, surrendered herself at the Beverly Hills Police Department shortly after 4 p.m. Thursday to be fingerprinted and photographed, said Officer Brian Ballieweg.

She was booked on suspicion of a DUI with a blood alcohol level above .08, California’s legal limit, and on suspicion of misdemeanor hit and run, Ballieweg said.”

Lindsay Lohan recently completed a 45-day stint on a rehab facility, Promises to overcome her addition to alcohol. Lindsay, according to the toxicology report given by law enforcement sources, had “nearly twice the legal limit” of alcohol and traces of coke in her bloodstream when she crashed her 2005 Mercedes SL-65 convertible into a curb on Sunset Blvd. around 5:30 AM on May 26th.

Spring Cleanup!

I made it a habit to do my spring cleanup during mid-summer. Not the physical cleaning of my home and donating old clothes to Goodwill, I usually do that during the spring. What I do during mid-summer months is review my financial standing.

There are the Christmas gift debts that you incurred and wanted to pay it off in six months or so, or you spent a little more on something that wasn’t in your budget during the month of March. I review those and re-align my spending for the remaining months of the year to put me back on track. One of the practice I have is to review credit card offers. I get tons of these every day. I mean, my mailbox is always filled with offers from current credit cards I own, or others willing to offer me a better deal. If I see something that is a bit enticing (usually it has to be a 0% interest for 12 months before I even open the envelope), I take a look at it, review the fine print and off I go.

I don’t normally apply for credit haphazardly because this tends to lower your credit score. I usually do it twice a year. Every six months, I review my bills and see where I can save. When I had my kitchen done last summer, I transferred the balance of that card to a 0% interest promotional offer. I just made my last payment this month. I would have paid lots of interest if I didn’t do it carefully.

Usually credit card offers vary by type such as rewards, cash back, airline miles and so forth. Try to see what fits your lifestyle best. If you think that you would benefit more with an additional 25,000 airline miles to get a free ticket, then go with that. Just remember always to do your Spring Cleanup. It doesn’t matter if you do it in December, May or February as long as you do it. Cheers!

Paris – the city of love… gay love? Awesome!

This is the reason why I have been dying to see France – most specially Paris. I so this entry from A Welsh View and was delighted actually. You see, I have the series of The Making of the French Rugby Calendar ‘Dieux Du Stade‘ from 2004 – 2007. It is a way for the French to promote Rugby and boy did they get the attention? Heck ya! It attracted the masses to their homo-erotic display of affection.

A Rugby World Cup advertisement that depicts opposing forward packs getting even more up close and personal than usual is raising eyebrows around the rugby world.

The advertisement, commissioned by the Regional Tourism Committee of Paris, shows French and English forwards in what should be a scrum. The ad is being displayed in London.

Reynz: Depressed ako bading!

Chuva: Bakit na naman?

Reynz: Si Jeff, ikakasal na! Hindi ako makapaniwala. Nakabuntis daw!

Chuva: Akala ko ba iniwanan na sya nung babae?

Reynz: Yung una yon, pangalawa na ‘to!

Chuva: Eh bakit na-ookray ka pa rin eh second time na pala to?

Reynz: Kasi kala ko pinagbigyan nya na ko kaya hindi tinuloy dun sa una. Tapos ngayon, kinukuha ako ni Jeff na maging ninong sa kasal niya. At nung tinanong ko kung paano nako, ang sabi ba naman, “Maghanap ka na lang ng iba!” Nasaktan ako dun.

Chuva: O kundi ka naman isang lukaret na mamasukal diyan eh, bakit naniniwala ka kasi?!

Yes peeps!! I received my diploma today. I know that it is only my Associates degree, and I also know that I still have a long way to go for my Bachelor’s (another three years maybe since I am doing it part-time). But WHO CARES?!!!! I am one step closer!

I thought that once I get my Associates – remembering all the hard and trying times while going to work and going to school at nights – I would quit. I thought to myself then – once I get my Associates in Science Degree – that is it!

But now, I want to reach higher. I am already here, so why not take a few steps more. It is really challenging when you have lots of sleepless nights doing your homework and being afraid that you may compromise the job that pays your bills because you need to finish a paper or study for the finals – but it’s all part of the game. Sooner or later I will get there.

So, to all you peeps out there thinking there is no time to go back to school? Think again! Remember – the pilot lamp, never never goes out!

 

I used to go camping a lot.

My friends and I go to Upstate New York every year to go camping. We are really not the tent-popper, gravel-or-dirt-sleeping type. Although we go camping, we always want to do it in style. The very fact that you are in the wilderness experiencing nature under the moonlight and having a bonfire under the stars is enough to love camping. However, we don’t want the uncomfortable things that go with camping.
