Wedding bells are going to ring next year!
It happened on July 4th! I am talking about my neighbor (the one with the green thumb that I said makes me sick?). Actually, my neighbor really doesn’t make me sick… it was just a term of endearment. I love his garden and we actually have a great relationship. He lives with his girlfriend and we have been neighbors for about two years now.
Every time I would come home from work, he would come out and water his plants. In passing, he mentioned that he is ready to get engaged. He wanted to get the ring but was recommended to go through an unusual route in buying the ring. If you live in the Philadelphia area, the best way to go about it is through Jeweler’s row in Center City. They have lots of jewelers with diamonds of all types and sizes. The route is to go through this Hasidic Jew from New York. The process was unbelievable! You deal with this guy by mail. He will even send you the diamond before you pay for it. You can get it appraised and know the value of the diamond before he even creates the setting. It was amazing.
July 4th. It happened. I was expecting that the ring wouldn’t be ready for months. Apparently, the deal went through and the design was of antique design. I saw the ring and it is gorgeous!!! Here’s a pic. The picture doesn’t do the ring justice. It is the most exquisite ring I have ever seen.
Now the wedding plans begin. They were supposed to go to France this year for a wedding but it was canceled. They have always dreamed of going to Europe. They heard that weddings at B&B Gretna Green in the U.K. is fantastic and are checking out the place. It will be cool to have a U.K. wedding and of course, yours truly is invited. What do you guys think?
