After the storm, I need to travel
This is what I do when I go through difficult emotional times such as the one I am going through now. I usually travel. I had a great experience during my trip to Asia and one of the best experience was the train ride from Shanghai Airport to downtown.. the Maglev Train. It is somewhat similar to the Acela Express that runs on the east coast. The train’s fastest was 431 KPM and you will be at the destination in less than 10 minutes.
I have been to Europe. I’ve ridden the underground train in Munich which they call Oban, the tube in London and the train ride from Florence to Rome. I love riding the train in Europe. It is such a convenience and what are the chances that you meet great people in the process. I heard that the Bernina Express – Swiss Railway is another experience to remember. It is world-renowned as the express railway from Switzerland to Italy. Since 1973, the Bernina Express has transported many passengers who want to take the scenic view between the two countries. It mastered climbing high peaks without any assistance. As you know, the mountainous region you pass along the Alps from Italy to Switzerland is somewhat a challenge. But not for the Bernina Express. The railways above the Ospizio Bernina has been in existence since 1910 and its station is the highest point of the journey but there are more to see when you take this course. Just imagine the view of the Alps from the peak. It could be one experience to behold.
I am planning my trip locally for now but I definitely want to travel to Switzerland. Last year, I had the pleasure of traveling to Italy seeing Florence and Rome. Next year, I might go to Venice – - and what a way to do it if I cross Switzerland to Italy via the famous Bernina Express – Swiss Railway. I can’t wait!
Yes, that’s how I deal with emotional stress. If I can travel to see places I’ve never been before, I do it. When do you expect me to do this – when I’m retired? That would be too late. I want to be able to climb mountains and dance barefoot when I travel. I could let go of material things as long as I see the world. I promise – I will conquer Switzerland next year.
