If you haven’t done so already…
My visit to my doctor yesterday was good. I had my yearly physical done while being checked for bronchitis as I have had chest congestion for about three weeks now. It took me a while to schedule the appointment because I thought the congestion was something that can be cured by over-the-counter meds. I was wrong. Apparently, I had a very mild form of bronchitis. I asked my doctor if I could be checked for my cholesterol level, blood sugar level and all that. Basically a blood test to determine if I am in good shape health-wise or not.
He ordered a blood test through an outside provider (yes, he didn’t take my blood right at the clinic – I had to go somewhere else for it). He asked me if I want to include Hepatitis and HIV tests as well. Surely I want to know so I said, “Since they are taking my blood anyway – why not.”
To some people I would think that obtaining an HIV test is one that they consider very private and would not normally go through their doctor. I wasn’t aware of this but did you know that is such a thing called Online Lab Tests? It was unbelievable. You order the test, and the results are provided to you privately through email. Whether you are concerned about privacy or simply want to obtain a test to make sure that you are in great shape Online Lab Tests is a good way to go don’t you think?
You are probably asking, “Why?” There are great reasons why. You want to stay healthy right? Blood test is a great way of detecting any disease early and preventive medicine is highly available to control whatever it is you have. Early detection is key. According to Online Lab Tests, their testing costs far less than if you go through the traditional blood testing as I am instructed to do by my doctor. That is great news for those that do not have health insurance coverage. And get this, they will even maintain a lab profile for you in case you will need to see your health history in the future.
I came out of the doctor’s office feeling good as I have been told that from the basic tests such as blood pressure, circulation and all that – I’m in good health. Wouldn’t you want to find out how you’re doing? Visit your doctor now.
