Battle of the vanities
Remember our friend from New Jersey who graduated with Honors from the Philadelphia Art Institute? Yes, he graduated with a degree in Interior Design. He has since moved to Chicago and now works for a Kithchen and Bath Design firm concentrating on Luxury Home Decor.
He knows about my home projects and I recently told him about the unexpected bathroom project that I have because of deteriorating sinks and malfunctioning toilets. He told me that he can help me out by getting materials from companies they deal with and get me bathroom vanities for up to 70% off retail price. I was like, “Hook me up Mary!!” So, here I am trying to figure out the style and design of my new bathrooms.
Let’s start with the bathroom vanity cabinets, since I don’t have much storage space in the house - I need one where I can store bathroom cleaning materials, extra toilet paper and all that. I want a bit of modern design with a sink that lays on top of the vanity. It may be a little smaller than what I have now but not much smaller that I can keep and store bathroom stuff.
Luxury Home Decor could help me when I sell my house next year. Yes, the market is not that great but if the buyer sees the meticulously-chosen finishings in the home, who could resist them. They probably won’t mind paying more because they are getting more. Just like a bathroom vanity cabinet that I have my eye on, I want to show a touch of elegance without going overboard and I found the one that fits in my bathroom exactly. It’s nice to think about what the result would be after the renovation is done.. it’s just tough to think about the work involved.
But I will get it done. Getting it done now will have to pay off sooner rather than later.
