Gossip Girl – Is this show about me?
Hey peeps!! Guess what? Remember when I posted the story of my neighbor here on my blog – yes, the drama between ‘The Doctor that never was’? Well peeps, blogging can spread rumors like crazy and you just never know who might pick it up and spread the news like wildfire. Malu Fernandez is another – - once it gets hold – - there’s no telling when you can stop it.
Now there is a new TV show coming on September 19th – Gossip Girl on The CW. It’s about a blogger who runs a website blogging about her fellow Upper East Siders consequently stirring the pot and feeding potential rivalries in this exclusive and vicious circle of friends. Even bloggers have their own space on TV now? I think this is good exposure for me. I write things down you get to decide what you do with it. Just like Gossip Girl! And since I am also a ghost writer for Chuva Chienes – does this story really point to me?! Woohoo! I’m a star now!!
Now listen peeps, I didn’t make this up. The world of bloggers is getting big every day that we have almost become the media! We get hired by corporations to write about their products as well because they know that having content that is personal is the best advertising ever. Remember ‘word-of-mouth’ adverstising? This is exactly what we’re doing and if you blog about something that generates a lot of interest, people will come. Gossip is one aspect that can generate interest. I wonder who Gossip Girl really is.. hmmmm?
Gossip Girl is an upcoming American television teen drama created by Josh Schwartz, creator of The O.C., and Stephanie Savage. The show is based on the novel series by Cecily von Ziegesar. Gossip Girl revolves around the lives of socialite young adults growing up on New York’s Upper East Side who attend elite academic institutions whilst dealing with sex, drugs, and other teenage issues. The series mainly centers around the lives of best friends, Serena van der Woodsen ( Blake Lively) and Blair Waldorf ( Leighton Meester), and their shared romantic interest, Nate Archibald ( Chace Crawford). As outsiders looking in, Dan ( Penn Badgley) and Jenny Humphrey (Taylor Momsen) do not run in the same social or financial circles as their peers but are drawn into their lives nonetheless.
Watch it! It’s coming out on September 19th.
