TV Ratings (Sept. 24): Impressive debuts for “Zaido” and “Lastikman,” but “24 Oras” grabs the top spot
GMA-7’s new telefantasya Zaido: Pulis Pangkalawakan (left) posted a 34.6 rating on its pilot telecast, while ABS-CBN’s Lastikman (right) got 30.3 percent rating on its premiere telecast. This is according to the overnight ratings conducted by AGB Nielsen Philippines among Mega Manila households.
Two new fantasy series debuted on primetime television last night, September 24—GMA-7’s Zaido: Pulis Pangkalawakan and ABS-CBN’s Lastikman. The good news is that both shows debuted very well hitting the 30-plus rating, but the bad news is that neither made it to the number one spot overall. The top slot was occupied by Kapuso network’s primetime newscast, 24 Oras, which posted a 35.2 percent rating.
This is according to the overnight ratings conducted by AGB Nielsen Philippines among Mega Manila households.
Zaido’s 34.6 percent rating was quite impressive to grab the second spot overall, while Lastikman’s 30.3 percent was only good for sixth overall. Lastikman’s figure was not even the highest for the Kapamilya network last night since its primetime newscast, TV Patrol World, posted a slightly higher 30.3 percent rating to grab the fifth spot.
Lastikman’s direct competitor, Mga Mata Ni Anghelita, also rated higher last night with 31 percent; although Zaido was still on the air when Lastikman started airing.
Marimar, meanwhile, dropped to fourth place with its 30.5 percent rating. ABS-CBN’s usual toprater, Kokey, also dropped to seventh place by virtue of its 29.2 percent rating.
The rest of the Top 10 were occupied by Jumong (23.9 percent), Pangarap Na Bituin (23 percent), and Ysabella (19 percent).
Meanwhile, the daytime viewing became exciting as some transferees and new shows made their presence felt. Kris Aquino’s game show, Kapamilya Deal Or No Deal, placed second overall with 23.5 percent, behind Meteor Garden’s 24.8 percent. Deal Or No Deal moved from primetime to pre-primetime starting yesterday with Piolo Pascual as its first celebrity contestant.
The new Koreanovela Couple Or Trouble, which replaced Foxy Lady, had an impressive debut with 20.7 percent to land in fourth place. The longest-running noontime show Eat Bulaga!, meanwhile, was in third place with 20.8 percent rating.
GMA-7’s Dramarama Sa Hapon block occupied the fifth to seventh place: Kung Mahawi Man ang Ulap, 20.2 percent; Daisy Siete, 18.7 percent; and Pasan Ko ang Daigdig, 18.6 percent.
ABS-CBN’s noontime show, Wowowee, dropped to ninth spot with its 17.9 percent rating, just behind Pilipinas Game KNB’s 18.2 percent.

good day sa lahat especially to all kapamilya fans!!!as usual its always lyk dat no. 1 ang gma compared sa abs but sa mega manila lng!!!!hahahahahah….hind kasi mga intelligent viewers ang mga taga manila….eh obvious naman na mas maganda ung lastikman kaysa zaido…d2 sa cbu wala yatang nanunuod ng gma….solid kapamilya ang mga taga cbu pati narin cguro ang mindanao…gma trying hard kasi….

jr bakit napa-bitter mo? Sad to say pero hindi kayang talunin ng kapilyo mo ang kapuso dito sa megamanila at hindi bobo ang mga viewer ng mega manila.
here n cbu #1 ang abs kc may taste ang mga viewers, d 2lad sa manila dey luv gma pangit nman ng shows, 2wang2wa na cla sa zaido pngit nman ng effects.. abs stil #1 nationwide…. d nga klala ung mga artista sa gma d2 visayas pti mndanao….
alam nyo mga taga GMA i wonder lang me ksi ok lang sa abs un ksi pagbibigyan lang sa totoo lang poh di masyado kilala mga artista nyo halos sa kapamilya madaming sumisikat di ko na sila isa isahin marai eh dyan sa inu si dennis regine richard cnu pa????
Nakakatawa tlaga at mahiya naman kayo sa abs kht isa lan kinukuha nyo mga dati nilang sa kanila meteor garden marimar rosalinda kakahiya kayo sa totoo lang at di traytor si angel kusa xang nagpaalam noh tama and desisyon ni angel nga hambug kayo at kinukuha minsan mga sikat dhil wala na kayo magawa pls stop it… na plsss GMA network mga kapuso jan di ko kayo inaaway wag kayong maging ganyan

MGA promdi nga naman oh. ang baduy ng taste… dapat gayahinn nyo taga manila marunong pumili ng innovative shows especially in gma… in my twenty years in philippine television industry (prduction staff in abs eight years.. and gma twelve years na)… nakikita kong mas fresh at bago ang approach ng gma seven mas tumatatak sa bagong generation especially sa mga bata… at kapag lumaki na ang mga batang ito makikilala nila or matatatak ang gma sa kanila kasi iba sila gumawa ng teleserye…getch my point……in my analysis ang baduy ng programming listing ng abs… pang-matanda ika nga like old school drama, e.g ysabela and the like. ang baduy…pangarap na bituin… actually gma ang unang gumamit ng song na yan na nagpasikat sa jewl in the palace..lastikman…sa concept gma ang unang nagpalabas ng mga mar’s ravelo remake at tska may fantasticman na sila before i show ang lastikman…sino gaya gaya
hayz…alm nmn natin kung cno tlg ang may mgndang shows e kea wag na magtalo….ABS-CBN parin ang the best…Oo GMA pang modern pero wag nyo ng subukang gayahin ang mga effects sa hollywood pwede lng?….kc imbes na gumanda e mas pumapangit pa sa effects..tulad ng zaido robot hayz mas mgnda pa ung laruang robot ng kapatid ko e…prang basura ung effects ng zaido….tapos ipagmamalaki nyo pa mga palabas nyo?….ung shaider mga 70s or 80s pa yon kaso ung costumes at effects mas mgnda pa…prang ung zaido pa ung mukhang ancestor e….ung mga telefantasiya nmn ng GMA habng tumatagl lalong nagiging korny….pang bata tlg…sa manila lng nmn sikat ang GMA…wala na akong masasabe bsta GMA 7 wag nyo ng piliting gayahin ang mga effects sa hollywood kung pwede lang…nakakahiya kayo e!!!!!
