Shaina Magdayao is fun and fearless at 18!
This November, showbiz denizens can finally say that the baby is now a lady. Tinseltown has been waiting for Shaina Magdayao to grow up since she made her showbiz debut as Vina Morales’s baby sister. She has since made a name for herself as one of the hottest teen stars today.

“I have my family to thank for the way I’ve turned out,” she shares with Cosmopolitan in its November issue, “They always remind me that you can’t believe everything that’s said about you in showbiz, be it good or bad.”
Indeed, Shaina was brought up with a strong sense of values and a good head on her shoulders. For one, she is determined to finish her education. “I don’t want to stop studying. Maski pakonti-konti. Maski it will take me a long time to get my degree, I’ll make sure I’ll eventually get my diploma.”
In fact, the 18-year-old actress looks forward to college and taking up Psychology next year or the year after next. “For me, [that's] the closest thing to being a doctor. I had wanted to be a doctor when I was a kid,” she says.
Her heart is also in the right place; she’s in no rush to enter into a relationship. But what about ardent suitor Rayver Cruz? “It’s no secret that Rayver is courting me, but I don’t think I should jump into something just because other people expect me to,” she explains. “I take these things seriously. I want to be with a guy who’s right for me.”
