Arnel Pineda was from a band that posted Youtube videos of their performances. He caught the eye of Journey (yes, the U.S. band very popular in the 80’s) and was called to audition. He’s now the new vocalist and is planning for concert tours with Journey in South America.
Go Arnel!! Pinoys are making their dreams a reality because of Youtube. I better start making videos now..

Do not forget CHARICE PEMPENGCO. She is currently making waves in the youtube community. She is on her way now to the USA to guest in the Ellen Degeneres show and is considering an offer from MCA Universal for a recording deal. If you have not seen her yet, go to you tube and enter her name in the search field.

Correction to your article, it’s not The Zoo themselves (Arnel’s band) who posted their own videos on YouTube. It’s actually Noel Gomez, Arnel’s fan and friend, who posted more than sixty of Zoo videos there, out of the hundreds of Zoo videos. Noel’s “Faithfully” video was the one where Neil Schon of Journey discovered Arnel Pineda.
