Design guru I am not.
I was wondering when I re-painted the living room and dining room area of my home if the area rugs that I have would still be a match. We all have our design tastes and usually I go with my gut feeling. It is very rare for me to pick out a rug knowing that I would get tired of it easily so I usually go with the traditional design.
However, the new paint that I used is one that resembles a Southwestern feel. It took a lot to complete it and mind you, I was told not to stop in the middle while painting because the texture would not match. I had to continue and I remember, it just so happened that a fire broke out next door. What was I to do? I had to stop! Luckily, it still turned out well and the walls look great. However, my rugs being the traditional design, didn’t fit well with the color of my walls.
