One of the U.S. Cities I wouldn’t mind moving to – Chicago.
I spent the New Year’s in Chicago this year. It was different because this year, I am single. I was with my partner last year and I got sick in the process so I wasn’t really able to enjoy much of Chicago. The people were very nice though and took care of me, gave me plenty of rest so I could recover before the flight back.
I decided to go again because something about Chicago attracts me. It is perfect for people like me who practically grew up on the East Coast. I had a certain feeling while walking along the streets when I noticed the architecture to be almost similar to Washington DC or Phiadelphia. It didn’t seem I am in the midwest at all! And the lake – - it was breath taking. I already know that I am going back to Chicago, the moment that I landed there. And for good reason too! one of my good friends is planning on a Chicago Wedding in June! Therefore I have to be there and just imagine Chicago in the summer too – - I can’t wait!
Of course I’ve seen the “BEAN”. It was the only thing I saw last year not including the exhibit of the Philippine Sea at the Shed Aquarium as well. I discovered more about the Philippine Coral Reefs than the time that I lived there! Chicago is a great city and I wouldn’t mind moving there. I didn’t find the cost of living costs to be as crazy as the West Coast and almost everything is within walking distance as well! Only if I can pack up and move.
