A plenty of top travel destinations are found in Europe. I have always wanted to travel to France. Paris, to be exact. I was drawn by the city because of its romantic allure. Valentine’s day would be soooo appropriate but I don’t have anyone right now. =( Even so, it would probably still be a great trip travelling with my single friends visiting the art capital of the world. I am going to think about it. Maybe I postpone my trip to Asia.

The next time I go to Los Angeles.
The last time I was on vacation in Los Angeles, I thought I was going to get bored to death. I was supposed to see an old time friend (fling) 
and stay with him for a week or so. I didn’t know this or he didn’t tell me about it before I went out there that he’s currently dating someone right now. I asked him if he was still single and his response was yes. Helloo!!! Did you forget to mention something to me??!! I think that is NOT a VERY SMALL DETAIL!
Needless to say, I found out that he is dating this guy and that the guy will be taking me around whil he is at work. Okay, how did he expect me to react? He is going to leave me with his “friend” going on sightseeing tours and expect to have fun? What was I to talk to his friend (lover) about? There are only a few ways to skin a cat! But I kept my cool. I would oblige.
He took me out for a Los Angeles tour. I have been to most of the places like Rodeo Drive, Beverly Hills, and all that. I didn’t think I would have a nice time with him. But I did. He is very nice, very cordial and even gets me my Starbucks coffee every day! How about that?! He would stop by and get me coffee in the morning. How sweet.
We ended up touring Laguna Beach and that alone was nice enough for me to enjoy my time in the west. It left a good feeling in me. But the next time I go, I would probably tour with the specialists like Trusted Tours & Attractions. Hannah Montana is coming to Houston!
I wanna get a hold of these tickets! Now that my buddy has moved to Houston from Los Angeles, I was planning on visiting him there too! Yes, he was the one I visited a couple of months back. We had a grand old time and yes, we hit the bars too. I just never saw Los Angeles to be his homestead and I was right! Now, he’s loving Houston and the weather there as well.
He asked me if any of my nieces has seen Hannah Montana and I told him that they haven’t. They would die for Hannah Montana Tickets though if it started playing in their area. He tells me that Hannah Montana is coming to HOuston and that his nieces and nephews are visiting him from Venezuela. I told him people pay a real premium for Hannah Montana Tickets so if I were him and couldn’t get tickets for the show – he could probably take them to a Rodeo. Rodeo is big in Houston and what better place to take them when they come for a visit.

Jolo Revilla vows to Lovi Poe: “I’m a one-woman man.”
Jolo Revilla wants to slay the “playboy” image that continuously taints the Revilla men. Sitting beside his inspiration, Lovi Poe, the son of Sen. Ramon “Bong” Revilla firmly defended himself and revealed his intentions for the young actress.
“Seryoso ako sa kanya,” said Jolo to Startalk in a taped interview aired earlier today, January 19. “Gusto ko na mapatunayan sa mga tao na hindi ako ganoon. And I’m a one-woman man. Hindi na ‘ko ‘yong dating Jolo.”

Ex-couple Bianca Gonzales and Lino Cayetano have been spotted together in a beach resort somewhere in Singapore. The report came from Cristy Fermin’s source who narrated that Bianca and Lino ate lunch at Café Del Mar in Singapore before proceeding to a nearby beach. According to the source, the ex-couple looked liked they were back in each other’s arms again.
THE SINGAPORE DATE. Rumor has it that Lino and Bianca got irked at the café’s staff members upon learning that someone leaked the details of their trip and turned it into a scoop.

A business scam is allegedly being linked to TV host-entrepreneur Paolo Bediones. Just recently, a disgruntled former Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) complained to the media regarding a failed venture involving a franchise business in which the popular TV personality is involved.
According to Fidel Baclaan, he invested his hard-earned money in a cell- phone reloading business, hoping to make a fortune. In January 2007, Baclaan invested P200,000 in i/Tech Philippines, a corporation registered in the Securities and Exchange Commission that lists Paolo Bediones as one of its officers.

I was so bummed when I missed Sharon Cuneta’s 42nd birthday celebration because I knew that KC Concepcion was going to perform for her mom. You all know that I am the Megafan – and love everything about Sharon but KC’s emergence as an individual with pure and noble intentions despite her celebrity status amazed me.
I have become an avid fan of Sharon’s daughter KC Concepcion and her talent is boundless. She sings, she acts and she also dances. Watch her perform an outstanding interpretation of dance ala “Cirque du Soleil” acrobatic moves! It was truly impressive.
KC Concepcion, the ever multi-talented daughter of Sharon Cuneta has captured my heart once again. Her dedication to the environment and also the charitable institutions has humbled me. You are a star KC!! Your mom must be really proud of you!

Did we just create the next William Hung with Renaldo Lapuz? Yes folks, Renaldo Lapuz is the next William Hung sensation after his segment aired on American Idol Season 7. He is a 44-year old Filipino from Dallas, Texas.
He entertained the judges Simon Cowell, Paul Abdul, and Randy Jackson as he sang his own composition, “We’re Brothers Forever.” As of this writing, the song has already become a very popular ringtone and as Simon Cowell put it, ““I’m going to make a prediction here. I have a horrible feeling that it’s going to be a hit record. You’re very entertaining. I actually like you but it’s going to be ‘No.’”

An alternative to heating the home during renovation.
Joey, a friend of mine just purchased a home in South Philadelphia. It’s a home that’s probably been around since the 50′s and there are tons of work that need to be done. He did get it on a bargain and is planning to renovate and rent the place for a positive income. The heating in the house is probably not that good since the windows are old and need replacement as well.
I told him that he can probably save money on heating bill if he plans to stay there during the renovation if he purchased gas propane heaters that he could use for the room that he is occupying in the meantime until the windows have been replaced and heating the home wouldn’t cost him an arm and a leg. Just imagine if you have to heat the whole house while the windows have draft and doesn’t contain the heat very well. The money you use to pay for heat is going out the window, literally!
Heating one room at a comfortable temperature while leaving the rest of the home at an above freezing temperature to prevent pipes from bursting may be a good alternative for him during the winter months. Besides, he would have the windows replaced by spring time anyway so a little investment on gas propane heaters could probably save him a lot. What do you guys think?
New Orleans was a trip to remember. Mardi Gras is in progress now.
One thing that I regret was my visit to New Orleans four years ago. I have been to New Orleans before that but only on business trips and therefore wasn’t really able to see the city. I have heard so much about Mardi Gras and I have always wanted to go but I couldn’t afford to go during that time.
Finally, I had the courage to attend a special event called Southern Decadence right on Bourbon Street. We stayed a few blocks away so we didn’t have to drive if ever we get caught with too much fun. And of course, we did and are glad that we picked a hotel that is walking distance from the main street. It was one of the most memorable experience I had gone through and it probably won’t ever happen again. I and two of my buddies had a wonderful time because the people were so friendly and it’s like a big party! Everyone was greeting everyone and just having a good old time. Oh, and yes – I did earn a few beads in the process.
The regretful part was that I didn’t take part on any New Orleans tours because as I understand it, there’s more to see in New Orleans than Bourbon Street. There was the house of Anne Rice that we could have visited and many other places like the Swamp and Bayou adventure, or the visit to one of the historic cemeteries called the Cities of the Dead. View the longest bridge over water in the world, the Lake Pontchartrain Causeway. Follow the path of the St. Charles Avenue streetcar, the oldest continuously operating passenger railway system in the world, past the homes of former Kings & Queens of Mardi Gras, stately mansions and the world-famous, exclusive Garden District.
The next time I visit, I would definitely take one of those sightseeing tours to make the most of my stay in New Orleans. Yes, Bourbon Street is nice but don’t miss the rest that New Orleans has to offer. Mardi Gras will be in progress again soon and if you’re trying to look for a place to visit, I would highly recommend New Orleans. It was an event to remember.

It’s freezing and snowing outside today, how does she do it?
My maid had to go to school for four days this week. Yes, four straight days. This was the agreement she made with her professor in order that she can take the next class offered this semester.
I was taken aback. You see, my maid doesn’t drive. I admire her for her patience though in taking public transportation. She can get anywhere that I can drive to, using public transportation. It may take her three times the amount of time, but she’ll get there.
It is snowing today and I just wondered, how does she manage all of these. I cannot believe she is willing to wait in the freezing cold for a bus. Or, if she gets tired enough, she will take the cab. Do you know how much it is to take a cab from her school to home? Not cheap. So I told her, why not just get a Used Car and start driving. It’s not that bad. Paying for insurance on a used car is much cheaper than getting a used car. IF she can’t afford a new car, I think a used car will do. We have extra parking spaces outside my house. There is no need for her to suffer through this daily if she drove.
I don’t know. Maybe someday, she’ll find out that driving is a necessity here and not a luxury. By then, maybe my advice will be heard. Or maybe, it’s just wishful thinking.
I forgot my sister’s birthday!
My sister’s birthday came and went and I just totally missed it. I didn’t even get the chance to call or text her. That’s how busy I’ve been these past two months. First, it was school, then work became crazy and I had all these things at home that I needed to do as projects for the winter. My weekends were pre-occupied with little stuff and then her birthday came. I felt so bad when I realized that it was already the 17th and her birthday was the 3rd.

My nephew used to be so cute when he was younger. He is smart, a good kid and I really thought that when he grew up, he’s going to break a lot of women’s hearts. His skin was flawless, he’s tall and very handsome. He used to get straight A’s at school as well. I said to myself, “Wow, this boy has got everything going for him.”
That was until he reached puberty. Somehow, he developed an acute acne problem that he couldn’t get rid of. I mean, acne that wasn’t just popping up one at a time. Because I did get acne as a teenager but it wasn’t bad. I would get two or three at a time and it went away after I reached my late teens. But for him, it was an annoying problem. His face would get reddish and it became very unattractive. From his acne, he developed an inferiority complex. He would rarely go out with his friends and basically started becoming a loner.
One late night, I was watching TV and I saw one of those proactiv commercials. You know those? The one with Judith Light from Who’s the Boss?! I know, I know – I’m not the type that would take Karate lessons but don’t you think those karate uniforms would look great on me? I just want to be able to take something that isn’t boring and I think with Karate, I get to use my whole body for the workout without getting bored. Hello!!! How can you get bored is your opponent is about to kick you in the rear!!
I think I’m going to sign up just for fun. What do you guys think? I wanted to take up swimming but that too could be really boring. I need to interact with people and if Karate will do it, why not? It seems easy enough after learning the basics. And maybe, it would be good for self-defense too. It’s all about the techniques and if I can get fit in the process, hey – it’s worth all of it. Just wait, I’ll post the outcome once I get started. I may like it.

Hello readers! All of you may have seen my post at the beginning of January about my blogging income for the year. Yes dears, I made $6000.00USD in six months last year.
