This is my conversation with my sister every time I talk to her over the phone. “When are you going to be ready to buy a home? Yes, believe it or not, that is how I open our conversation everytime I talk to her.
I wanted her and her family to live the life where they are not wasting money on rent. They have been renting forever and during the time that I purchased my home, if they did what I said – they would have received a very nice return on their investment. It is astonishing to me why someone wouldn’t buy a home but instead, rent forever? Is it because of the convenience?
“This is the year!”, my sister tells me. Interest rates are down, the prices have come down to almost normal levels. what could be the best time if not now! I would love to see her and her children in a new home. No more excuses. One year it was affordability, next year it was the babysitter, and who knows what excuse she will come up with. I tolld her that I will support her if she decides to buy a home this year. My nephews and nieces deserve a home.
