Google Page Rank versus IZEA Real Rank
My blog never get accolades from anyone (except from very good friends) and I am not expecting to get one. My blog is simply about everybody else but me. And little things that I do to make the blog more interesting is also credited to my audience. The ones that keep coming back and commenting (or lurking) in the background. I know who you guys are!
So when I get a boost in ratings in Technorati or Alexa – I feel kind of good. I enjoy that people are coming back to visit my blog for the content that I put in it. I also work hard at earning an income from my blogs which has paid really well. Until the Google PR re-rate. That placed a big dent on my income from blogging. I got excited however, because IZEARanks.com is promoting Real Rank. I haven’t read much into it but my blog has been rated under the TOP 100 posties. I am proud about that. I currently have a Real Rank of 57. And you know what? Throughout the month of February, they will be giving away $1,000.00 USD weekly for whomever makes it to number one.
That begs the question on how much more opportunities are they going to provide people who have ZERO Google PR, versus a high IZEA Real Rank? I haven’t seen a spike in opportunities because even though IZEARanks.com has Real Ranks, the opportunities are still ranked by Google PR. So, if you are a PR 0, you cannot take opportunities for PR 1 posties. So what did Real Rank do? Or what will it do for us in the future?
I am going to patiently wait. I hope that IZEA Real Rank will benefit the posties in the future.
