Jane Fonda utters the C-word on National TV

I was laughing my butt off the floor when I heard that Jane Fonda actually mentioned the word C*nt on the Today Show yesterday morning. The conversation with Eve Ensler was about the 15th Anniversary of the Vagina Monologues. Jane said that she had been asked a few times to partcipate in the Vagina Monologues even though she hasn’t seen any production of the play and stated, “I live in Georgia, OK? I had been asked to do a monologue called the C*nt.”
It was mentioned as is because that was the title of the segment she was asked to do. Meredith Vieira later apologized and said, “It was a slip and obviously she apologizes, and so do we. We would do nothing to offend the audience so please accept our apology.”
I was floored. Who cares? They mention almost anything on TV these days. Kids? What kids? These kids know more about sex than we do. But hey, you invite a 70-year old activist on your morning show – are you going to expect less? Ha! She is an icon and good or bad, she did her time. Who know’s what I’ll say when I’m her age! After all, I’ve kept my mouth shut all my life. Maybe it would be time for me to let go!
