New Idol scandal! American Idol Seven contestant David Hernandez used to strip for other men! David, a twenty-four year old Idol finalist from Glendale, Arizona, shook his Laffy Taffy for dollars at Dick’s Cabaret over a three year period that ended in Septemeber 2007, according to a new report.
David was a big money maker at Dick’s (pun intended), where he appeared fully nude and performed lap dances for a “mostly male” clientele, club manager Gordy Bryan told the Associated Press late Monday.

Rumors of David’s past as an exotic dancer first surfaced last week on VoteForTheWorst.com.
“It was like moths to a flame,” said VoteForTheWorst.com founder Dave Della Terza. “As soon as I posted that, we started getting 10, 20 letters every single day from people saying, ‘Yeah, he’s a stripper in Phoenix.’”
“He never renewed his licensing with the state, so he hasn’t been on my roster since then,” Gordy explained.
No word on whether or not David’s previous “line of work” will end up getting him ousted as a contestant on American Idol. However, Rent star and A.I Season 2 hopeful Frenchie Davis was disqualified after nude photos from her college student/part-time porn star days leaked to the Internet.
