Entrecard and the popularity contest. Yes, John Cow re-instated it.
John Cow of Johncow.com may have ‘dropped’ the Entrecard business card a couple of months ago. He’s still somewhat unconvinced about the benefit he will receive through Entrecard but I’ve always advocated new bloggers to become members because I have discovered many many blogs that I wouldn’t have discovered without Entrecard.
If you’re a first time blogger, it’s a must. It’s a great social network that will provide visibility to your blog without much hassle. Dropping and receiving dropped cards can simply be icing on the cake. To my friend who’s recently opened up a blog, I suggest that you become a member now. It will work to your advantage.
So, if John Cow has reinstated his Entrecard, why wouldn’t you? It’s a great tool and I tell you, you will meet cool people there as well.
Watch the Entrecard Experiment by John Cow and see what happens. He will stay with it until April 22nd and decide then if the outcome is favorable.

This is absolutely true based from my personal experience of using entrecard. Most of my traffic came from entrecard, though some of them are just dropping their cards but there’s some as well that actually read my blogs.
I agree Normand, I have the same experience as well. Joining other social networking programs such as MyBlogLog and BlogCatalog can get you there as well but I found that the visibility provided by Entrecard (althogh there were a lot of bounced hits) is still a plus.
