Happy Mother’s Day mom!
There are a few things in life that we mostly regret. Things that we believe we could have done better or we could have done at all. Every year, I go through it not because I didn’t do it enough, or I didn’t do it well – but, I wish I had the time to do it more often.
You see, every year on mothers day, I go back to thinking what I would do if my mom was still around. I did send her flowers when she was still with us. Could I have done more? I believe so. I could have told her I love her more often than I did. I could have taken her to places that she loves (she loves her garden, so I could have taken her to Longwood Gardens for example), or maybe have her travel to Rome with me. It was her dream to visit St. Peter’s Basilica but she never had the chance to do it. She did more sacrifice for her children and gave up more of her freedom for us.
So, to all of you who still has a chance to give back something to your mom – do it while you can. Life is too short really. You’ll never know and I don’t want you to regret things that you could have avoided.
