Everything is so expensive these days. Prediction of 4.00 dollars a gallon of gas is no joke. It’s going to make our daily lives less easier this summer. Forget the long commute. That’s why when I talked to my interior designer friend that recently moved to Chicago, I told him to look for Chicago condo rentals closer to where he works. I love the city of Chicago and I love Boystown but if it’s going to cost him an arm and a leg to go to work with the daily commute of an hour and a half, I say start looking at Chicago apartment rentals.
There are excellentcondo associations Chicago that could provide you with the best amenities one city can offer. And living in a condo is much better than living in an apartment. Why would you want to be boxed in renting a studio apartment if you can get a condo? He has many options now that the housing market has gone down significantly. And of course, you get the best of both worlds by doing so. I told him to start interviewing and find the closest place possible that he could find that will make it convenient for him to go to work.
Just last week, he called me on his cell phone complaining about the commute. I told him, “If you want to take a dump, you go to the bathroom right? Then stop complaining and just get that condo you’ve been dreaming about!”
I think he got my point.
