It’s almost June – let’s do the periodic review.
If you’re like me, I do a periodic review of where I stand with my finances quarterly. It’s a must for me because I always want to shave off expenses that are not necessary. There were times during my review where I find that I have paid for Cable TV enough to buy myself a good pair of designer shoes in the last quarter and realized that I didn’t even watch a second of television in the past quarter. So, I shut it down. Or, I may have spent a little too much on dining out – which means, this quarter I will cut down.
I also perform quarterly credit card reviews to make sure that I am not being charged an arm and a leg on interests. Just recently, I found out that American Express (who I’ve been with since 198*) is charging me a whopping 21% in interests! You know what that means? It’s time to look for a card with zero balance and transfer the amount I owe them.
These days, it’s always wise to review your credit cards and figure out if the interest they are charging you is worth eliminating. Most specially if you have excellent credit, there is no reason why they should be charging that type of interest. My advice? Always check for cheaper or no interest rate cards. If you visit http://creditcardsclub.com/, you will be given options depending on what you’re looking for. Low interest cards, No annual fee cards, Cash Back credit cards and so forth. So, why pay for interest when you don’t have to?! Review your financial status now.
