Richard Gutierrez steps on ABS-CBN’s turf for story conference on movie with KC Concepcion
All things are possible in show business. Ito ang napatunayan nang pumirma ng one-picture contract ang exclusive Kapuso star ni Richard Gutierrez sa Star Cinema para maging katambal sa unang pelikula ni KC Concepcion.
Dahil sa kaganapang ito, marami ang naniniwalang hudyat na ito ng unti-unting paghupa ng halos walang katapusang network wars sa pagitan ng ABS-CBN at GMA-7. Kasunod kasi ng pagtatambal nina Richard at KC sa Star Cinema ay balita ring gagawa pa sila ng pelikula para naman sa GMA Films next year.
Tumapak sa kauna-unahang pagkakataon si Richard sa bakuran ng ABS-CBN kahapon, May 20, para sa story conference ng pelikula ni KC.
Sa panayam ng PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) kay Richard Gutierrez sa room 1308 ng ELJ Building ng ABS CBN, sinabi ng young actor na ang pagtatambal nila ni KC ay maaaring isang malaking palatandaan ng pagkakaisa between the two leading networks in the country.
“Well, I consider it a sign of unity for both networks, and this is the first time this has happened. I think it’s a big step on both networks and we’re very, very happy to be part of it. Napagbigyan kami at hindi namin ini-expect na talagang matutuloy siya. This movie is for all the people who requested for it, this is for them,” pahayag ni Richard.
Nagpahayag din ng pasasalamat si Richard kay KC dahil sa pagpayag nito na makapareha siya at maging posible ang lahat.
“I wanna thank KC for sticking with this project, making it happen, and believing in me as her leading man,” sambit ng young actor.
Hindi rin itinago ni Richard ang kasiyahan na sa kauna-unahang pagkakataon ay nakatapak siya sa bakuran ng ABS CBN para sa storycon ng pelikula ni KC na partly ay kukunan sa Greece.
“I’m very privileged to be here today. I consider this as an honor for me. Not everyone in GMA is given the opportunity to be here in ABS legally. It’s my first time to be in ABS kaya kagabi, tinawagan ko si KC. Sabi ko medyo excited ako na makapunta dito. I’m very happy and I’m still absorbing the experience now,” lahad niya.
Sa tanong kung ano ang preparations na ginagawa niya para sa pelikula nila ni KC, aminado si Richard na sa sobrang bilis ng mga pangayayari ay ninanamnam pa niya ang lahat.
“It all came so fast, we’re still in the process of absorbing the experience. Kasi ang nangyari nga, ang bilis. So ngayon pa lang kami nagsisimulang mag-prepare. We got the scripts, storycon, and now we’re preparing to go to Greece. So I’m really excited. It [was] months of months of meetings, chaos… And thank God, finally ngayon natuloy na.”
From the very start, Richard was very vocal about his admiration for KC. When asked sa estado ng relasyon nila ng commercial model turned actress, Richard was consistent in saying na nasa getting-to-know stage pa lang talaga sila ng anak nina Sharon Cuneta at Gabby Concepcion.
“We’re still in the process of knowing each other, and I think this movie will be a great step for us to know each other more. We’ll be spending time in Greece and that’s exciting. I’m looking forward to that. We’re taking it step by step. We’re not rushing into things. KC is someone special, she is a great person and she knows that, I told her that before,” pagtatapos ni Richard.
