When you spend a month in another place, be it for vacation or for work – you just can’t help but get attached to the things that you had gotten accustomed to. It’s funny how sometimes we miss what we don’t have and we hate what we have. Life seems to work that way just to play with us.
I have come to love Germany as much as I have loved every city that I’ve been to. There’s so much energy here that you just can’t help but fall in love with it. The EURO 2008 games have added to the display of how much people love their country. You can see flags of Germany all over the place. Is it hot in here or is it me?
I heard about the heatwave on the east coast as soon as arrived here in Germany. The weather here is not that bad. We had a couple of hot days but the rest was just phenomenal weather. I already know that most of Europe are not used to using airconditioning. They usually open their windows and since it’s only a couple of months of hot weather (during July and August), they just take the heat and move one.
I guess Americans are spoiled in this area because I couldn’t imagine driving my car in the summer without auto air conditioning. It’s something that I got used to. I’m sure that if got used to not having one, I’ll be okay but I am used to being in the car in comfort. I can’t wait to get home and drive my air-conditioned car.

Desidido na si Annabelle Rama na mag-produce ulit ng mga pelikula after her comeback movie with her daughter Ruffa Gutierrez, ang My Monster Mom.
Pagbibidahan ng anak niyang si Richard Gutierrez ang gustong i-produce na horror-suspense movie ni Annabelle. Gusto raw sana nila pang-filmfest, pero hindi na aabot. Pero target nila ang maipalabas din yun this year at hindi makakaapekto sa first moviet team-up nina Richard at KC Concepcion.
Car rental is another option – - when I get home.
You see, my sister who lives in Maryland gave her car to her newlywed daughter. She is generous like that. I remember when she gave her car to my dad before and the other one before that to my brother. You can never fault her because it is in her blood. She is just totally giving.
So when she heard that I will be in Germany for a month, she was wondering who would be using my car during the time that I am gone. I told her, “No one.” She asked if she could borrow my car (and offered to pay for the monthly payment for the month of June) and return it when I come back. I, of course would not say no to her. She’s been so generous that I didn’t even mind.
Now that I am returning home, I didn’t speak to her as to when she’s going to return the car. I arrive in the U.S. tomorrow and I haven’t even arranged a pick up from the airport. My roommate thought it would be best to obtain a car rental until my sister returns my car over the weekend. Not a bad idea. I may just do that. I hope she calls me soon though cause I want to go to Atlantic City for the weekend. 
Sunshine Cruz willing to live with husband Cesar Montano again
Nakakangiti na ngayon si Sunshine Cruz kapag pinag-uusapan ang kanyang asawang si Cesar Montano. Magandang pahiwatig daw ito ng pagkakasundo ng mag-asawa pagkatapos ng kontrobersiya sa paghihiwalay nila. In fact, nagsasalita na rin si Cesar in defense of Sunshine sa mga inilabas ng kapatid ng aktor na si Ched Cantu laban sa aktres.

I received an invitation from Spain!!!
One of the countries I was integrating while here in Germany is Spain. Our offices there are located in Madrid, Valencia and Barcelona. But our main office is in Madrid. I got to meet our good colleagues Miguel and Carlos from Spain. They were funny because I thought we would never understand each other. Carlos spoke English very well but he knew operations. The technical guy Miguel, knew only a bit of English and he’s embarrassed to speak every time we are with other people.
Then, one night during dinner – the other folks were at the buffet getting their food and the only person left at the table with me was Miguel. I tried to speak to him in English and try to make him comfortable. I tried speaking a bit of Spanish that I know and I think it worked. He spoke English all the way through before my other colleagues came back to the table. I told everyone that Miguel knows how to speak English and he blushed. It was soo cute.
After the integration, (they were with me for three days) – they left and I received a nice email from Miguel. He had many nice words to say and thanking me for giving him the comfort as he tried to speak to me in English. He told his boss that next time, he will learn more English so he can speak to me. He also told his boss to tell me that I also gained a friend in Madrid and if ever I want to visit, he will be the one to take me around. Isn’t that nice?!
So, I got excited andn looked up places in Madrid I’d like to visit. I found Madrid Hotels In Destinia that are pretty reasonable and there are plenty of things to do in Madrid! I could lose myself there. It’s one of the European cities I’d like to visit and if ever I get the chance next year – I’m calling Miguel!
I am so enjoying this. I got to meet great people and made great friends from a few short days I spent with them. Is this the time to say, I love my job? Not quite.
Everyone is trying to cut their costs down.
The economy is not doing so good. The housing market issue hasn’t hit bottom yet. The people are afraid to spend because of these unknowns. I don’t blame them – I am doing the same as well. It’s not certain what tomorrow will bring and due to that reason, people are starting to re-assess their lifestyles.
Starting next month, I will cease subscribing to cable TV. I never have the time to watch TV anyways. And if I need to watch my favorite programs – I’ll either go to Youtube or the network sites and watch the episodes from there. I am cutting costs. I have also started shopping for Low Cost Auto Insurance because although I get a discount from my insurance company right now for having my home and my automobile insured with them, I still think I’m paying too much.

Arrrgghh!
Our next Global Conference – Bangkok, Thailand
During our recent global conference in Amsterdam, Netherlands – we were fortunate to have been included to showcase our services as a company where I attended as a delegate. We had visitors from as far as Hong Kong, Colombia, Turkey, China and many other countries. The conference was an astounding success and thanks to our portable trade show displays that attracted all the prospective new clients to our booth.
It was an experience of a lifetime. Just imagine meeting all sorts of people from different continents and different cultures. It was a networking dream. The main thing that attracted them to our services came to light when they said that we had a great presence due to our trade show display.
Our next conference will be in February – in Bangkok, Thailand. We’re hoping to gain much success as we did with the conference in Amsterdam. Woohoo!
Haha!! You miss me already huh?
I was on Yahoo Messenger the other night and I got a chance to chat with my maid. She was bored out of her skull and she was asking when I’m coming home. She told me how different it is in the house without my presence. Really?
I thought it was very thoughtful of her to say so. Although she keeps reminding me to bring home Absinthe. Is she crazy?! I told her that every time I travel overseas, I usually get pulled aside by U.S. Immigration. I’m not sure why but they always take me to the back and then lets me go a few minutes later. No reason – no questions.. hmmm.
So, I am not going to take the chance and bring home a once-forbidden type of alcohol to the U.S. I understand that they say it’s okay now but still. I just want to get home and relax.
Who is your favorite Unstoppable Ambassador?
There are plenty of role models everywhere these days. These are individuals who have shown that they have integrity, prowess and a much inspiring story. They are hard-working individuals who have mastered their craft. Now, being labeled as Unstoppable Ambassadors who sport famous Citizen watches, these ambassadors do prove that they are worthy of the title.

These are the types of individuals that we would like to stand out as role models for our children. Nothing comes easy but if you work hard at it and know that there is success in the end – you will gain as much respect you deserve. We need more ambassadors who can inspire us and let us know that there is a path to peace. We can all be ambassadors for peace.
A little taste of Amsterdam
Well, mga ditse!!!!!! Ob kors – you heard about my trip to Amsterdam. We had a Global conference and it was the most fantastic experience I’ve had in a long time. Shempre, chika ko ang anak ng may ari ng kompanya namin. Pahalik halik, pa chorva chorva – - dahil ang lowla ninyo – nagbangag sa Amsterdam.
Alam ninyo ba – the conference was only for one day (well, actually the whole weekend, pero excused ako sa second day). It was a well-organized event with delegates from Turkey, Japan, Colombia, Hong Kong, China, Netherlands, Singapore, Saudi Arabia and ob kors – United States. At sino ang rep ng U.S.? Hulaan ninyo!! Hahaha! Pa-chorva effect ang ditse ninyo – kunyari maraming alam. Feeling ko Miss Universe Contest ang sinalihan ko.

After releasing two critically acclaimed gay-themed movies, director Jay Altarejos and writer Lex Bonife shift gears for a fun romp road trip movie titled Kambyo na ipapalabas sa University of the Philippines Film Center on July 5. Credit cards seem to have been given the power to charge any amount of interest they want these days. I am now constantly checking the amount of interest I’m being charged by any of my credit cards. If they charge me more than 0%, I cut it up and close the account. Why? Because it doesn’t make sense for them to charge 30% interest. How is anyone going to pay off debts if 30% are being tacked on to what you originally paid for? It’s going to drive you to bankruptcy.
I took on this fight because I believe that to become financially-free, we also have to be debt-free. Being debt-free give us more power (both psychological and financial) to leverage what we spend on and who we deal with. We don’t have to pay 30% interest if we don’t want to and we should have that choice. It’s not a matter of cheapness – it’s a matter of paving your way to free yourself from the grasp of debt.
I would suggest to anyone who has finally realized that owing money to credit card companies that charge you more than 0% to use their card for 30 days is not kosher, perform a credit card review every month or every quarter. Look up what options you have with the credit rating you have. More than likely, 30% will not be the amount you would want to choose. Always be on the lookout for fees and other fine print. You must be cognizant of the fact that they are there to make a profit too but obscenely charging ridiculous amount of interest is unacceptable.

Here’s antoher one. She keeps complaining that the offer was not made in good faith because it was televised with everyone knowing Patrick’s family wants to give her something for the child. There are things you can’t avoid but a simple family dispute should really be hidden from the public. At least that’s what I believe. Don’ you?

Bagamat hindi nagpabanggit ng kanyang pangalan at iba pang identity sa kanyang pagkatao, may file video naman na ipinakita ang Showbiz Central na kuha sa isang show ni Jennylyn, kung saan may isang babae na bumati sa young actress.
Cross country is still the best. Motorhomes – the way to go.
I remember a story that my sisters told me. They were here in the U.S. before I came with my sister. My parents lived with them and of course, my parent’s didn’t work. They came here to assist my sister with caring for her children. That’s the usual role of Pinoy grandparents who come here. But they wanted to reward my parents for taking care of the kids so they went across country in an RV. My dad used to tell me how fun it was and how much they saw on the way from the east to the west and then back. It must have been fantastic.
I have never done that and there are times I wish I could just pack up and go. Motorhomes are great to go traveling cross country because you have everything that you need. You can camp out, and sleep like a real person without having to survive the rigors of trying to sleep on a reclined seat. They actually talked about wildlife that they saw and the nature around them. I could picture it and I could smell the burning camp fire. One day, I will do that. I will travel with friends or family using an RV and just enjoy everything that life can offer. There are still many things undiscovered out there that I would like to see and enjoy. One day – - one of these good ole days.

I was going to shop for a watch while here in Germany but I didn’t really think about how weak the dollar is right now. Sheesh! I was surprised to see the prices of watches here and I’ve always longed for a luxury watch as a gift to myself. I bought a Rolex once and to this day, I still have it. My dad’s Rolex ended up with my brother before my dad passed. That is why I’ve always wanted a Rolex watch. But it gets too expensive now and the next best thing could be Ebel watches or Longines gold watches. I have been looking for watches for a while. Something that I can hold on to and pass on.
Check this out. I went online instead and boy do they have lots of choices. See the picture above? That will be my next watch. I’m saving up for it already. When I heard about Sharon Cuneta giving her daughter a very expensive watch for her accomplishments, I figured – why not me? I have accomplished a lot? So I thought I’d save up and give myself a present. It would be the only watch I will keep and wear forever though. So you may only see it on special occasions. It will be a while but if I was to get a luxury watch, I’d surely get it online. I can get up to 40% off the retail price! I’m so excited.
Comedian George Carlin dies at age 71
Another great loss. George Carlin, a comedian who has touched the hearts of many, died of heart failure at age 71. He was taken to St. John’s Health center Sunday, complaining of chest pains and died later that evening. He has immortalized a lot of quotes and memorable points to live by. The one that has been going around emails all of the world was his poignant discovery of how the world is today (after his wife had recently passed).

It was a beautiful day here in Frankfurt yesterday. I received an email from Mami Kengkay the night before telling me that we can go shopping daw sa downtown Frankfurt. Kasama raw si Kengkoy at little Kengkays. Excited naman ang ditse ninyo dahil talagang this is my last weekend to shop for “keepsakes” para sa “true” friends ko.. Diba ang shoray??!!
A new addition to the family.
My niece whom I took care of when she was young is now a mom! Who would have thought?! She gave birth to a bouncing baby girl a month ago and the pictures – oh the pictures. The baby is soooo adorable! I owe my niece a lot because I promised her that I would go to Colorado and visit with them. I haven’t had the chance to because of work and school so I told her that I will be sending her a gift. I haven’t shopped for one yet because she told me that the baby has everything! That’s impossible right?
Just for kicks, I went online shopping and found the cutest Baby Clothes that I think she would love for her little princess. Literally, the cutest little outfits for her daughter at a price you couldn’t find at a regular store. Wouldn’t that be an awesome present? I would probably go nuts shopping for this new little bundle of joy.
I am still in Germany for a business trip so I thought, I might as well buy this online now and have it shipped before I leave. Even if I don’t get the time to do it between now and the time I leave, I can order it from Germany and have it shipped to their homo in Colorado. That’s the beauty of online shopping.
I hope she likes it. I hope the little princess likes it. I’m so proud of her. You’ve done well pips!
