I just realized, I’m going to miss all the PRIDE parties this June!
When I said yes to my boss as he asked me if I was willing to travel to Germany for one month, I didn’t realize immediately what I was giving up. I was giving up part of my summer and of course, I was giving up the PRIDE month. No street parties, no night clubbing – just that, nothing.
I checked the calendar just to see when Germany will be celebrating their PRIDE weekend. The date was set in August. If I had agreed to come here in August, it would been a double-whammy for me. I could have celebrated all the PRIDE days in the U.S. and then, attend an international PRIDE fest here in Frankfurt.
Oh well. I guess there’s no sense in crying over spilled milk. I’ll just have to party a bit harder when I get back to the U.S.
