If only I could afford it right now, I would do it.
I have a friend who has a brother that made lots of money by having several small businesses. He started a few nail salons in the city of Philadelphia, and grew his business with prompt and great customer service. After he made his millions from it, he moved to Texas to join a partner in setting up a casino. The business was successful as well but I guess running a casino is no small feat. There are many regulations you have to comply with and so forth. He decided that after a few profitable years, he would return to our area.
Without much thinking, he bought a home (in cash) in one of the prominent areas around here in South Jersey. A few months later, he decided that he wanted a bigger home for his family so he bought another one. With the real estate market going down, he offered me to purchase previous home. A home which is simple but very attractive. I actually fell in love with the exterior shutters on the windows which adds very much to the character of the home. I really want to buy the home but I am not financially able at this time. This would mean that I would have to either rent my home now and purchase his home.
I guess it wouldn’t hurt to try. I really would love to own his home but it’s quite pricey. I may have to give it more thought.
