Tschuss : Deutscheland – I’m going home… and by the way, where in the hell is Ausfahrt?
Time for my exit… – this way please.
When you spend a month in another place, be it for vacation or for work – you just can’t help but get attached to the things that you had gotten accustomed to. It’s funny how sometimes we miss what we don’t have and we hate what we have. Life seems to work that way just to play with us.
I have come to love Germany as much as I have loved every city that I’ve been to. There’s so much energy here that you just can’t help but fall in love with it. The EURO 2008 games have added to the display of how much people love their country. You can see flags of Germany all over the place. They have flag poles in their backyards with the German flag raised with pride!!
And of course – you can’t beat Euro fashion. The men here are dressed better than the gayest gay that ever gayed. They are totally fabulous and their bodies – - uhhhhhh – - their bodies. It makes you want to swear off those cheeseburgers and pommes or fries as we call it.
As I pack my bags, I would like to thank the people of Germany. They have treated me like a king. Rudi, Agathe, Alex, Stewart, Ulla, Radu, Renee, Mathias, Melanie, Heiko and of course my one and only Ulli! This trip would not have been more memorable if not because of your hospitality and your warmth. I will remember Germany with a lot of fondness.
To my colleagues in Prague, Czech Republic – Nik and Petr (yes, it’s spelled without the other e), Madrid, Spain – Miguel and Carlos, and Italy – Daniele. Thanks for all your efforts as well. Without your cooperation, the projects we set to complete would have been in vain. Congratulations to all of us for a successful implementation.
I know, I know – you all want to see the pictures. Here they are…. as the title of this post say, See you later: Germany.
Germany vs. (Spain or Russia) for the FINALS!!
Dahil makitid ang mga daan, they are allowed to park half of their cars on the sidewalk.
Pero may certain sections lang – - o deba?
Heto and ditse ninyo – left foot forward talaga!!

A bar we went to called Mantis. Ang shoray diba??
On the other side of the Main (pronounced as ‘mine’) River.
While crossing the bridge, I saw this sign. It made me wonder what it meant. Isang wafu ang napatingin sa kin and learned of my inquiry dahil mukhang litong lito raw ako. He is British and he told me that this is the first line to the Greek Epic Poem “The Odyssey” by Homer- Tell me, O Muse, of the man of many devices… O deba? Shorayat!!
A beautiful restaurant by the river.
Moi, after crossing the bridge. I thought the houses behind looked awesome.
My colleagues, Agathe and Renee.
Me and my boyfriend colleague, Renee.
An interesting sculpture right in downtown Frankfurt.
For the spirit of sportsmanship — Germany is in the FINALS.
I thhought this was a beautiful piece of artwork. What is the shoe made up of? Butterflies…
After a busy shopping day – - I am packing now….

And by the way, you will see Ausfarht all over Germany – - I thought it was a location… but everywhere we go – it points to Ausfahrt… nuvayan!!! So I had figured that it probably means “Exit” …. KOREKEK!!! Winner and lowlah ninyo.
They say, “If you’re in Germany and you start to understand what Ausfahrt means – - you have
been in Germany too long!!!
I say:
