Amy Winehouse has been released from hospital following a suspected drug overdose.
Paramedics went to the home of the troubled star, 24, after she suffered multiple convulsions and fits.
They spent more than 40 minutes attending to her before carrying her out on a stretcher, hidden under a blanket and wearing an oxygen mask.
Spokesman for the star, Chris Goodman, said she she suffered a reaction to medication she was taking but was discharged today after being kept in overnight for observation.
Dad Mitch, who raced into the house just before the 999 crew arrived, tried to put the scare down to a mistake with her prescription pills.
He claimed: “She’s fine, she just mixed up her medication.”
But a medical source confirmed: “An ambulance was called to a priority call involving a drugs overdose.”
Fan Danny Saunders, 17, who was outside the house, said: “Amy didn’t make a sound. We’re all really worried. Mitch looked really upset. I think it was her PA holding up a blanket. We couldn’t see anything except her feet. She wasn’t wearing any shoes.”
The 999 crews were called to her home, in Camden, North London, at 8.40pm. They summoned police 15 minutes later.
