I need to get organized… I’m about to start classes again. Arrgghh!
I have always been a pack rat. I keep everything from bus tickets, to movie tickets. I also keep any of my graded papers from class. I don’t know. The fact that I work so hard on these papers make me want to keep them forever. The problem with this is that I create a stack of class papers in my study that sometimes, it gets in the way of the real stuff that I am doing (like studying for example). I want to start this semester with a fresh start. I want a clean study with no clutter and with proper lighting.
Last week, I was at the store and thought, “Hmmm, maybe I should get organized and purchase file folders to keep the papers that I have stacked all over my study.” It worked! I purchased a few file folders and it’s a great start. I labeleled every single one with the course, the semester and year. I can now go to my study and see the neatly labeled folders and I can actually go back and review the papers that I’ve written way back to the very first semester when I started taking classes. One thing about it that provided me with the best benefit is being able to sit in my study and concentrate. There are no papers laying around, my desk is neatly organized and labeled with whatever I need.
All I need to practice now is how to keep up with it that it doesn’t return to the way that it was last semester. Hey, if I can do it - anyone can. Get organized before school starts. It’s going to do you a lot of good.
