Should I go back to DirecTV?
I had recently asked my satellite provider, DIRECTV to downgrade my subscription. I was subscribed to their basic channels plus the Filipino Channels like GMA and ABS-CBN. It was really taking a toll on me just because I was thinking of cutting expenses. With the prices going up like crazy these days (of anything!), I figured it would be good for me to trim down.
I calculated my expenses and as I visited the Filipino restaurant near my place over the weekend, I asked them how much they are paying for the Filipino channels that they have at the store. I was surprised to find that I can actually select the basic channels and the Filipino channels at half the price that I was paying before! I didn’t know that! I was paying a premium because I chose more channels to add to my subscription not knowing I can do an ala carte-type of choices with DirecTV.
Now, I’m thinking of having the channels switched back on. Let’s see how it goes when I come back from my trip. I may just re-instate my subscription to DirecTV.
