I cannot post any entry just yet – no internet connection at the hotel.
Sorry peeps. I haven’t established internet connection at the hotel yet. I have been jetlagged in the past few days and haven’t felt like dealing with the internet service at the hotel. I should have something by this evening.
They have this pre-paid card that they give you – - 50 euros for one month! Since I’m going to be here for one week, I went with the monthly access because it will cost me more to do the daily prepaid access.
So far – no trips outside the office and the hotel just yet. Planning to visit the Duomo by Thursday and will post pictures by then. I also understand that Da Vinci’s Last Supper is also housed here in Milan but obtaining tickets for it may be impossible. I will try.

Go see Lake Como as well, if you have a chance. It’s very close to Milan (about 25 miles, you can take the train). Fantastic view, magnificent villas, including George Clooney’s Oleandra.

I checked with the people at the hotel and they told me it’s about 45 minutes by train – which is still doable. I will try to get there. I have a free Saturday here so I will definitely have time.
The train station is right across from my hotel – - 10 minutes to Duomo and then transfer to Central Station to Lake Como!! What a great suggestion. I wouldn’t have known about it until your comment. Thanks very much!!

Lainey – my experience here in Milan is so good. The people are very hospitable and we’ve had great dinners after great dinners. I cannot believe that they really eat for 3-4 hours… wonderful dishes!
I got to go to the Duomo which was at night and I am amazed! That is such a wonderful structure. I didn’t get to go inside but will do so on Saturday. I will make a trip to Lake Como as well since a friend of mine is coming here tomorrow morning and we will have a colleague from Brazil joining us as well. It should be great fun.
