The people are very hospitable and we've had great dinners after great dinners. I cannot believe that they really eat for 3-4 hours... wonderful dishes! I got to go to the Duomo which was at night and I am amazed! That is such a wonderful structure. I didn't get to go inside but will do so on Saturday. I will make a trip to Lake Como as well since a friend of mine is coming here tomorrow morning and we will have a colleague from Brazil joining us as well. It should be great fun. I checked with the people at the hotel and they told me it's about 45 minutes by train - which is still doable. I will try to get there. I have a free Saturday here so I will definitely have time. The train station is right across from my hotel - - 10 minutes to Duomo and then transfer to Central Station to Lake Como!! What a great suggestion. I wouldn't have known about it until your comment. It's very close to Milan (about 25 miles, you can take the train).
