I’m not a fashionista but I was glad to be in Milan during Fashion Week.
Yes peeps! You read that right. I arrived in Milan last Sunday to attend a conference only to find out that it is Milan’s Fashion Week 2008. What gave me the clue? Well, first of all the hotel I am staying at is filled with models. Even before that, I was greeted at the airport by a HUGE Dolce & Gabbana billboard with half-naked models (men and women) in it! What a welcome ha?
Being glad to be in Milan during Fashion Week is one thing, celebrity hob-nobbing is another. By chance lang ang celebrity sighting - kaya view the pictures below to find out… I have been to Rome and Florence and I always loved Italy because of it’s history and it’s architecture, not to mention the fabulous art pieces that surrounds you. I will be leaving on Sunday to head back to the U.S. of A.

Like I promised earlier, I am going to post pictures of my trip here. Milan is a wonderful city with wonderful people. I have been treated like a king here (kahit na hindi ako kauri!) and I am very pleased. I must have gained the pounds that I lost during my training with my super-gwapong trainer na si JOSH but I don’t care. Having a meal here in Italy can last for up to four hours during dinner time. Talagang namnamin daw ang mga pagkain.
I wanted to take pictures of the food that I ate pero nahihiya ako dahil corporate executives ang mga kasama ko so, WEZ! Eto na ang ipinangako ko. It so happened na ang best friend kong flight stewardess na si Tasha ay nagkaroon ng trip sa Milan during the week that I’m here kaya siya ang kasama kong naglamyerda. Eto pa - babalik pa ang lowka! He is arriving tomorrow and we’re going to visit Lake Como and Bellagio with my colleague from Brazil.
Here goes…..
Here’s yours truly in front of the LOUIS VUITTON store, Milano.
Here’s the WORLD FAMOUS DUOMO in MILAN. It’s a beautiful church and the architecture is amazing. The details of the design is incomparable. See the two billboards on the side? It’s advertising for FASHION WEEK. Sayang nga, dahil nasira yung pic because of that.
Haha! Kala mo maraming mga pera. This was taken in front of the Gallery commissioned to be built by one of the Kings of Italy, Vittorio Emanuel II.
Nakita ninyo itong Billboard na ‘to, isa pang promo for Fashion Week. Look at what’s next…
Hahaha! Talagang kinarir ang pagiging fashion MOWDEL!! Hahaha!
This is the famous BULL (mosaic tiles) right outside of the PRADA and LOUIS VUITTON stores at the Gallery. Tradition is to put your heel in the hole *eklog ng bull* (I marked it with a red square) and then SPIN-A-WIN ka for Goodluck daw ata!
So, nag-spin ang Chuva! O deba?
Talagang inggitera!! Hahaha! May flowing scarf pa for effect!
AND THE HIGLIGHT OF THE TRIP IS THIS - - WE SAW SOLANGE KNOWLES at the HOTEL!!
Pose kaagad ang Chuva! This was a comedy event talaga.. grabe! Siguro sabi ni Solange - “Sino kaya ‘tong mga ‘to?! ” Although she was very nice to us.
Ang nakakatawa, Solange turns to Tasha and says, “I like your SCARF…is that LAMB?!” Si Tasha parang walang narinig. Talagang hinablot na si Solange for picture taking. Para bang sabi niya, “Wala akong pakialam sa conversation no?! PICTURE NA BILIS!!” Hahaha!!
There are more pictures to come so balik kayo ulit. I just don’t have time right now dahil talagang ngarag na ang ditse ninyo.
