Never kong naisip at never akong nag-expect na magmamahal pa ko ulit. It’s the farthest thing from my mind right now. Ayokong ma-distract sa mga goals ko. I am a very busy person kaya kontento na ko sa buhay ko ngayon. Walang kyem mga bords!! I am really enjoying myself right now. I lost 8 pounds from working out, I am trying to quit smoking and I went back to my regular schedule of going to church on Sundays. That was it. May mga halaman ako sa labas, I have a dog (Jake, I love you!!) and it’s amazing. Walang drama, walang problema.

Then, one day he arrived. Sabi ko – oks lang. Wala ‘to. Mabait lang and he’s really impressive because he has a good head on his shoulders, his goals are sound and realistic. Kaibigan lang. Ang dami kong naging kaibigan ‘no? So, it wasn’t even a crush or infatuation. My goal was set. I will get back to my desired weight by working out and training with a trainer. I really didn’t think that I would do it until my maid arrived home from the gym and told me that she signed up with a trainer daw. Ang wafuuuu daw!! Sabi ko naman, well – I can’t really afford it right now pero the trainer offered two free training sessions so I could see if I would go with him or not.

Nung una ko siyang nakita, oks lang. Hindi naman gaanong kaguwapuhan. He was simply nice. He gave me my two free trial workouts – which I enjoyed by the way. Nag-decide akong mag-sign up hindi dahil sa wafuuu siya no? I still have my eye on the prize of losing the weight and getting back in shape.

Several workouts later, nagka-kuwentuhan kami. After my workout, we talked for about three hours. Naloloka yung katulong ko dahil alam niya tapos na workout ko ng 8:30 p.m. , 11:30 p.m. na wala pa ko sa bahay. The conversation was great. Para kaming magkaibigan na ng matagal. But it was still nothing. Wala akong naramdaman, wala rin akong inisip. In fact, he has a girlfriend daw for three years. So, sabi ko – off limits din naman so okay lang.

Ever since that night, lagi na siyang dumadaan sa bahay (he lives a few blocks away from me) at nakikipag-kuwentuhan. This is the time that I found out more about his personality. He has high goals for himself. He moved out of his parent’s home when he was eighteen – and he now lives on his own with three other roommates on a house that he manages. The house/apartment is in his name. He plans on getting fully certified as a Personal Trainer and enjoys his job very much. At ito ang kicker, he goes to church every Sunday!

Wala pa rin. Hindi ko inisip na mahuhulog ako sa kanya. Natutuwa lang ako dahil I see myself in him when I had all the ambitious goals at his age. And shempre, added bonus na yung nagsisimba siya. I was really impressed. I honestly believed I was just impressed by his demeanor, his kindness and shempre guma-guwapo na rin siya because of all the things I’m learning about him.

My recent trip to Italy came and I had to skip my training for a week. Kadarating ko pa lang, nag-text na siya sa ‘ken. “Are you home now? Can I stop by?” Oo, naman ako. Alas tres ito ng hapon. Do you know what time he left my house? Alas diyes na ng gabi. Kuwentuhan lang kami. Tanong nga sa ‘ken ng inggitera kong katulong, “Kailan ba aalis yang manliligaw mo?! Kanina pa yan dito ah!” Hmpff! During the conversation, he told me that he broke up with his girlfriend na raw. Hindi na raw niya mahal and it has been brewing for a couple of months. He’s going to stay single for a while muna daw.

Napagkuwentuhan din namin na he is trying to look for a new car daw. His current vehicle is old na daw and most recently died on the road somewhere close to where we live. He is debating whether to get a new battery and have the alternator checked or whether he should just look for a new car. He’s concern is that his car might get towed by the city and he will have to pay more money to get it out. I told him that I have a Triple A service that can tow his car to his house, for free. Tuwang tuwa ang bata. Nahihiya daw siya pero salamat daw because it’s going to save him a lot of money. We decided on picking his car up last night.

In between that conversation and last night, nagkaroon na siya ng DATE from his work sa gym. (Imagine this, it has only been days since he broke up with his ex-girlfriend.) Sabi niya, hindi daw DATE because they are just friends. As a matter of fact, he doesn’t like her dahil she smokes and she has tattoos on her body daw. Those were two things that turned him off.

Kagabi, I came home and was getting ready to help him out with his car when I received a text message from him. He was asking how long will it take to get his car from the location back to his house including the waiting time and all. I called AAA and they told me that they were backlogged for about 90 minutes. When I told him this, bigla siyang tumawag sa ‘ken asking if I could go with him tonight lang daw. Sabi ko, it’s fine. Not a problem – pero bakit? Apparently, he’s going out with the same girl again. Hmmmm.

Nagtaka ako sa sarili ko kung bakit parang nakaramdam ako ng selos. I wasn’t expecting anything between us. Hindi ko nga siya type ‘no?! Pero may kaunting jealousy akong naramdaman. I tried to shrug it off.

But as the night went on, isip ako ng isip. Bakit ko nararamdaman ‘to? Hindi naman kami item and in fact, he’s straight! Hindi kami talo. Tinawagan ko agad ang confidante kong si Joey. And we talked about it. What Joey told me made sense. Kasi nga, un-attached ako and nagbigay ng attention itong Josh na ‘to, kaya nahuhulog ako. Pero, sabi ko naman – I’ve been through this. Hindi na ‘ko bata! I know how to handle these situations. Pero bakit parang out of control na naman ang emotions ko?

Alam ko, all of you are dying to know what JOSH looks like. I have two pictures. He allowed me to take pictures of him with my cell phone. Sabi ko, for my cell phone CALLER ID. CHARING!!! Hahaha! I will post it here one of these days. I just have to sort this feeling out first. Kailangan malabanan ko ‘to bago lumala. I’m not ready to fall in love. I need to fall out of love (kung love man ‘to) in 2 seconds!! Should I really believe in MAGIC?! JOSHKO!!!!
