The Sharon Cuneta for First Lady 2010 Campaign
The U.S. made history in voting the first African-American President. Not by a small margin as we all know, but by a landslide. What do I think about it? I think people are really hungry for change. The change we need is not only local but global. The United States’ display of the power of democracy reverberated around the globe. It reassured everyone that “We, The People” still rocks. The excitement of having President-Elect Obama’s family in the White House is exciting to all of us. It has been compared the “The Kennedy’s” just because of his youth and his young family.
I don’t really meddle a lot in politics and I don’t have the proper authority to campaign for anyone. I do know that the Philippines need change. The government needs to be re-invigorated to do things right. I know that the election in 2010 seems too far away but it is not. If you are looking to be a candidate for the 2010 election, you should be getting your ducks in a row now.

Nyahahahaha!! Mga bords!!!!!! Nakow! Napanood ko rin ang movie ni Sarah Geronimo at John Lloyd Cruz. Bigla akong nagising… naramdaman ko ang mga words na ‘to na parang ako ang sinasabihan. Pero yung sagot ni Sarah ang na-feel ko last night. Opo mga ka-bords!!! Wala na kami ni JOSHKO. (Wala namang naging kami!) Pinutol ko na ang ugat ng fag-eveg na ‘yan. Why bother di ba? Kung ayaw – eh ayaw. Huwag pagpilitan ang ayaw.

I’m so ungrateful. Although it’s late, I would like to give thanks.
A little over a year ago, I decided to blog because of all the opportunities I discovered on the web. There’s money to be made – and that was good. Without too much bragging, I made enough through blogging that it paid off the full renovation of my kitchen. It was well worth it. However, during the process – I met some wonderful people whom I would have never met had not started blogging. It was a great journey into the unknown. I’ve met some of them and some I haven’t. But in retrospect, making money while blogging may have been my incentive to go full force yet the people that I’ve met through the past year has been a blessing.
First, my gratitude to Reyna Elena for encouraging me to start blogging again. I remember the blogging conferences we had at home. At the time, there was me, Ros, Diwa, JC, C5 and Bea. There was another blogger called Teacher Gee. Most of these blogs are inactive now but I have made lasting friendship with them.

Sherwin Ordoñez is making a sexy comeback through his indie film Kurap, which is directed by Ronnie Bertubin.
Kurap (international title: Blink) also stars Jojit Lorenzo, newcomers Ashley Rhain Arca, Christian Burke and Jeff Luna. Written by Romualdo Avellanosa of Sikil, it is the first film produced by Silangan Pictures with Antonio de Guzman Jr. as producer.
Geoff Eigenmann willing to do everything on “Moon River”

Luis Manzano accepts gay role in movie with his mom Vilma Santos
Masayang-masaya si Luis Manzano dahil isang successful year na naman ang nagdaan para sa music channel na MYX, ang sister channel ng ABS-CBN.
Kagabi, November 6, ay nagkaroon ng isang malaking concert na pinamagatang MYX Mo! sa open field ng SM Mall of Asia sa Pasay City. Ang MYX Mo! ay tribute to OPM music with almost 50 local bands and solo artists performing.
“It’s another year, a very successful year para sa buong MYX family!” sambit ni Luis. “So, what a better way to end the year through a MYX Mo!, di ba? Na talaga namang nakikitang sinusuportahan kami ng napakaraming tao.”
How does he feel na nakakasama niya ngayon ang mga bagong video jocks o VJ ng MYX na sina Robi Domingo, Chino Lui Pio, Bianca Roque, at Monica Yncierto? Ang apat na bagong VJs ang siyang nanalo sa VJ search na ginawa ng MYX kamakailan.
“Nakakasama ko na rin sila sa studio,” sagot ni Luis. “For them, it’s a good eye opener kung gaano kasuportado ang OPM ngayon sa Pilipinas. Sabi ko nga, kung dati, nasusuportahan puro ang foreign acts, bakit kailangang magdala ng ibang artists para tauhin ang isang concert? Pero ngayon, nakakagulat! All OPM VJ’s, mga Pinoy singers, pero grabe ang suportang ibinibigay! That is why, it’s very overwhelming at nakikita kung gaano karaming talents meron dito sa Pilipinas.”
Four to five years na raw na VJ si Luis sa MYX. Nagbiro pa nga siyang kakapapirma lang sa kanya ng MYX ng “another 20 years contract.”
“Sabi naman nila, they are very happy pa naman sa nako-contribute ko sa MYX since ako na ang pinaka-senior. Actually, yung aalis na ako, ni ayokong isipin kasi ito na ang kauna-unahang pamilya ko sa industriya,” sabi ni Luis.
Nararamdaman ba niyang tinitingala siya ngayon ng mga bagong VJs?
“I don’t wanna say that they all look up to me. Pero siguro, I set a good example kung paano ko minahal ang MYX. Ayoko namang itaas ang sarili ko sa pedestal, na iba ang nagawa ko. Siguro, iba lang ang nagawa kong example.”
Hindi raw maitatanggi ni Luis na enjoy na enjoy pa rin siya being a VJ.
“Definitely! Sa schedule ko na nagte-taping ako ng 20 hours, kung ano na ang nangyari, yung Myx sa akin ang parang relaxing time. Yung makasama ko ang MYX family, dahil bukod sa napakadaling trabaho naman, yung pamilyang nabuo namin, it’s very relaxing sa mga busy naming schedules.”
ANNE’S CONFIDANTE. Kinumusta naman ng PEP si Luis tungkol sa kinabibilangan niyang ABS-CBN primetime series, ang Dyosa. Balitang mai-extend pa ito until February of next year.
“Well, yun din ang balita namin,” sabi ni Luis. “Pero wala pa namang definite na nasasabi sa amin. Ang alam ko lang, we will be taping talaga until January. Yun ang alam ko. Pero in terms of until when, yun ang wala pa talaga akong alam.”
Kumusta naman sila sa set ngayong may balita na Anne Curtis is going through a depression dahil sa breakup nila ni Sam Milby? Ito rin daw ang dahilan kung bakit nagbakasyon muna si Anne ng isang linggo mula sa programa.
“You know, siguro sa amin sa Dyosa on the set… Hindi lang dahil sa Dyosa, pero alam naman ng lahat na whatever project namin ni Anne, from Kampanerang Kuba, I have always been there for her.
“So, sa Dyosa set, kung may pinagdadaanan man siya in particular, I was with her all throughout. Ganoon kami sa Dyosa set, suportahan naman kaming lahat dun. Walang ilangang factor talaga. At kapag magkasama kami sa standby area, itinatabi ko talaga ang upuan ko sa kama niya. At least, puwede kaming magkuwentuhan anytime, magkulitan, yung ganoong suportahan, or through text, Internet, yung ganoon,” lahad ni Luis.
Pero nagsasabi ba sa kanya si Anne ng mga pinagdadaanan nito?
“Oo naman!” bulalas ni Luis. “She’s been very vocal about everything and anything, especially sa aming dalawa. More on sa akin. Pero siyempre, kung anuman ang sinasabi niya sa akin, it’s between Manzano and her.” (“Manzano” ang tawag ni Anne kay Luis.)
Paano naman niya naipapakita ang suporta niya sa kaibigan?
“Well, palagi ko ngang sinasabi kay Anne na one of my duties in life is to make sure she’s happy and to protect her. At palagi ko rin sinasabi sa mga interview na kapag may nanloko or nanakit talaga kay Anne, ako ang unang-unang makakalaban.
“Pero yung nangyari naman sa kanila [Anne and Sam] is very, very personal. And I believe na, you know, usapan lang siguro ang kaya… Hindi sa…walang lokohan na nangyari, walang ganoon,” paglilinaw niya.
Dugtong ni Luis, “Sabi ko nga kay Anne, ‘Kaming mga nasa buhay mo, antibiotics lang kami. Kami yung pampadagdag-galing. Pero yung healing will only come from you.’ So, kung anuman ang problema nila, sila ang dapat na mag-ayos, sila lang ang may alam.”
ANGEL IN AUSTRALIA. Sa ibang balita, naikuwento ni Luis na kakaalis lang ng
rumored girlfriend niyang si Angel Locsin, kasama si Piolo Pascual para sa shooting ng pelikulang Land Down Under sa Australia. Two and a half weeks daw mawawala ang aktres sa bansa.
Mami-miss daw ni Luis si Angel. Pero naiintindahan naman ng binata na kailangan ni Angel na magtrabaho.
Kumusta na nga ba sila ni Angel ngayon?
“Kung anuman kami dati, masasabi ko na ganoon pa rin hanggang ngayon,” sagot ni Luis. “Napakaganda nga ng sinabi nung ma-feature kami sa TV Patrol, ni Mario Dumaual. Yung annotation na, hindi kami napapakialaman, hindi kami nagagamit in any kind of publicity. Happy na ako na hindi kami napag-uusapan na ganoon. What you see is what you get sa aming dalawa.”
Posible ba silang magkasama in a soap or movie ni Angel?
“Wala kaming planong magtrabaho together,” diretsong sagot ni Luis. “Pagpipiyestahan lang kung anuman ang meron sa aming dalawa. Mas nalalagay sa spotlight kung anuman yun. So, I’m perfectly happy na may sarili akong ginagawa at may sarili siyang ginagawa. At very personal ang sa amin, outside all the showbiz cameras and lights.”
Dagdag ni Luis, puwede raw silang lumabas together sa isang episode ng Maalaala Mo Kaya o simpleng guesting sa isang show. Pero hindi raw sila papayag na magtrabaho sa isang soap opera na matagal na panahong ginagawa.
Ikinuwento rin ni Luis na masayang-masaya ang mommy niya, Governor Vilma Santos, dahil nakapunta siya, kasama si Angel, sa birthday party ng actress-politician sa kapitolyo ng Batangas last November 3.
MOVIE WITH MOMMY VI. Ibinalita rin ni Luis sa PEP na tuloy na tuloy na ang pagsasama nilang mag-ina sa isang Star Cinema movie. Tinanggap na ni Luis ang role bilang gay lover ni John Lloyd Cruz sa pelikula, na magsisilbi ring directorial comback ni Olive Lamasan.
“Tuloy na tuloy na!” masayang sabi ni Luis. “It has a gay theme to it, but beside the gay theme, nandoon na ang mother and son, which is kami ng mommy ko. But there is a very, very different love story, two different stories on top of it.”
May kissing scene ba sila ni John Lloyd?
“Meron sa script, pero inaayos pa namin,” sabi ni Luis.
Pero matagal ba niyang pinag-isipan bago niya ito tinanggap?
“Matagal din, kasi yung initial offer sa akin, wala pang script. Kumbaga, napag-uusapan lang. Siyempre, kahit paano, it’s different kapag may nakikita ka nang script na binabasa. Noong nabasa ko ang script, saka na ako nag-oo.”
Ready na ba siya to play a gay role?
“I cannot say naman na I’m ready, pero there will come a time na kailangan kong maging ready.”
Hanggang saan ang kaya niyang gawin?
“Pene!” natatawang biro ni Luis. “Wala akong idea honestly, abangan na lang nila. Pero for a company as big like Star Cinema to produce a very, very different, out-of-the-box movie, dapat talagang abangan.”
Ano ang naging reaction ng mommy niya nang tanggapin niya ang movie?
“Very, very happy na tinanggap ko! Pero si Mommy ko kasi, never na nakialam. Never na sinabi niyang ‘Luis, tanggapin mo.’ So, every time na magte-text siya, ‘Anak, no pressure ha. Just let me know.’
“So, noong finally, tinanggap ko, sinabihan ko rin siya kaagad. Nang malaman niyang tinanggap ko, sabi nga niya, ‘Praise God!’ May ganoon!” natatawa niyang kuwento.
Magiging senyales na ba ito ng pagiging daring na ni Luis?
“I don’t even want to call it daring, it’s different,” sabi niya. “Ang daring kasi, showing, let’s say, nudity. It’s daring like it’s something different that when people get to watch it, maiintindihan nila kung bakit it’s different and it’s not daring. It’s just a very mature Luis and John Lloyd.”
Ayon kay Luis, wala pa raw definite title ang movie nila. Most probably, magsisimula na rin mag-shoot ang mommy niya this year. Pero sila raw ni John Lloyd ay malamang na by next February pa, and most of their locations ay sa New York, U.S.A.

New James Bond Movie – Quantum of Solace opens on November 14th

Quantum of Solace (2008) is the 22nd James Bond film by EON Productions, released in the United Kingdom on 31 October 2008 and due in North America on 14 November. The sequel to the 2006 film Casino Royale, it is directed by Marc Forster, and features Daniel Craig’s second performance as James Bond. In the film, Bond battles Dominic Greene (Mathieu Amalric), a member of the Quantum organisation posing as an environmentalist, who intends to stage a coup d’état in Bolivia to take control of its water supply. Bond seeks revenge for the death of Vesper Lynd, and is assisted by Camille Montes (Olga Kurylenko).
Let’s get down to business – What’s up with Michelle Obama’s Dress?
Everybody is talking about the dress that Michelle Obama wore during the Victory Speech delivered by her husband, President-Elect Barack Obama. A lot of people say that they hated it and some people say they liked it. I am one of the ones who hated it.
I mean come on. It would have to have been the ugliest dress for an event like this. It already took away the focus off Barack because of how bright red the color was. It stood out like it was saying “look-at-me-dress”. It didn’t have the “regal” look I was looking for in a First Lady. I read that it was the work of Narciso Rodriguez, one of the most critically acclaimed of New York Fashion Week.

This is the very first time that I have voted for a President. Granted, I would have been more ecstatic if Hillary Clinton is the person that I’m cheering for today – but the change we need and the change we hoped is here under the Barack Obama Administration. I am elated and at a loss for words.

Ruffa Gutierrez on lovelife: “Hindi na ako naghahanap…”
“I’m always very happy,” was the simple statement of Ruffa Gutierrez when asked to describe her life right now. But she stressed that “lovelife” does not figure in her current state. Ruffa said no special someone is causing her happiness, though she admitted: “Maraming pumuporma, you know, may bata…”
When asked to elaborate about her “younger suitor,” she replied casually, “Naku, yung bata, sobrang bata naman, as in 10 years! Naloloka naman ako, he’s 25.” This guy, according to Ruffa, is a “foreigner model” na “ayaw ni Mommy [Annabelle Rama].”
Jewel Mische: “Yes, it is true. Bubbles Paraiso did it. Siniko po ako sa ulo.”
The day after Bubbles Paraiso denied reports that she elbowed Jewel Mische at the inauguration of the GMA Network Studios last October 17, obtained an official
statement from Jewel.
In sum, Jewel refuted Bubbles’s story. The two stars are under contract with GMA-7.
In her statement, Jewel said: “Yes, it is true. Bubbles Paraiso did it. Siniko po ako sa ulo.”
The StarStruck 4 Ultimate Sweetheart also claimed that Bubbles, a model turned actress, hit her “not once, but several times, in different locations during that event.”
