Before the awarding ceremony of the 35th Metro Manila Film Festival held last December 28, Arnold Vegafria accompanied his ward Bianca King on the red carpet of the SMX Convention Center, SM Mall of Asia.
Members of the press, took this opportunity to interview the talent manager regarding his other ward, Krista Ranillo, who was not present during the awards night. “Krista just left for the United States last December 24 in the evening. She will be staying there until the first week of January,” revealed Arnold.

How does it feel to be treated like an A-lister? The cast of the MTV hit reality show, Jersey Shore, was invited by Life and Style for a makeover and an exclusive red carpet walk into Greenhouse, a NYC nightclub with the strictest “dress-your-best” of dress codes.
I must say, they all looked fabulous. Out with the wife beater and poofy hair… they pulled it off like they were A-listers.

Lady Gaga is just too big for Detroit and Chicago!
Maybe not just for Detroit and Chicago but upcoming concert venues as well. Lady Gaga is just too huge at the moment. Her concert tour, dubbed as “Monster Ball Tour” has been selling out like hot cakes.
The location venues for concerts in Detroit and Chicago have been relocated due to the larger-than-expected concert-goers. The Jan. 12-13 Detroit dates which was originally scheduled at the city’s 5,000-seat Fox Theatre will be moved to a now-larger capacity Joe Louis Arena which seats 20,000 according to Detroit News.
The planned Chicago concert dates of Jan. 8-10 to be held at the Chicago Theatre will now be moved to Rosemont Theater. The concert promoter, Live Nation says that the reason for the move is due to the “size of the production” without saying anything further. More information on the Chicago show can be found at Live Nation’s website, while general information on the changes can be sought through Ticketmaster’s help page.
Lady Gaga also had originally moved her Jan. 3rd concert in Hard Rock Live – Orlando, FL to a larger location with three times as much capacity – - The University of Florida Arena.

Manny Pacquiao files lawsuit against Floyd Mayweather, Oscar De La Hoya For Defamation

The Huffington Post reports that Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao has filed a lawsuit against the Floyd Mayweather camp stating that the camp has defamed him by making people believe that he used performance enhancing drugs.
The Filipino boxer currently holds seven titles in different weight classes. The lawsuit contends that due to the defamation, the boxer may lose millions of dollars in endorsements due to the negative campaign.
According to the post:
“Mayweather Jr. and the others set out on a course designed to destroy Pacquiao’s career, reputation, honor and legacy and jeopardize his ability to earn the highest levels of compensation”
I wonder what this would do to the ongoing talks for their March 13, 2010 fight.

Avatar may be the only movie to top Titanic…

I’m glad I saw the movie and I would encourage everyone I know who hasn’t seen the movie to go out and see it! I remember when I saw Titanic. I was still living in Los Angeles at the time. I felt almost the same way after watching the film and somehow I knew it was going to be a big hit.
I’m sure Celine Dion had to do with its success as well when Titanic’s Theme Song of My Heart Will Go On played on every radio station I listened to. Avatar doesn’t have a hit theme song but I believe it should win Best Picture.
Avatar already earned a cumulative total of $212, 711, 184 in two weeks. James Cameron might be feeling on top of the world again.
Avatar took first place again during the Christmas weekend box office followed by Sherlock Holmes at $62, 390,000 and Alvin and the Chipmunks took third place at $48,875, 415.

Well, well. Someone else tried to have fun with celebrity photos. You know, when all you see in the magazines are these perfect photos of men and women and even though we know that it’s been photoshopped to the nth degree, we still somehow manage to be envious. Just look at David Beckham and wife, Posh Beckham. They always look perfectly groomed even with paparazzi shots…
Oh yes, there are some photos that are real but we all know that someday, when all is said and done – - – they will age like everyone else. It’s a reality and no one escapes it (unless they choose it age “medically”) when the right time comes.

According to Sportswriter, Tiger Woods is out of sight because he had plastic surgery?
Get this, there’s been some emailin’ going on between a website and someone who claims that the real reason Tiger Woods has been out of the limelight since the accident happened during Thanksgiving was because he was badly bruised and had to be taken out of the area via a jet to be taken in and have his injuries repaired. Whoah! Did Elin really hit him that hard? Hard to say where this story is going.
“At one point Tiger turned away to look at the TV, and as he turned back, Elin hit him on the right side of the face with the head of a 9-iron. When she struck Tiger, she put a huge gash in the right side of his face next to his nose (causing his nose to bruise some), and virtually knocking two of his upper teeth out, and breaking the bone on the upper right side.
Tiger ran scared as hell out of the house (which is why he had on no shoes) with Elin swinging the golf club throughout the hallway to the garage (i.e. causing the severe damage which has been reported).
Tiger hopped in the Escalade and tried to leave; and as we know Elin knocked out the windows in the Escalade. When Tiger crashed, Elin panicked and was not sure what to tell the police (which is why there are two conflicting stories from her).”

Access Hollywood reports that hunky Taylor Lautner and cutie Taylor Swift have parted ways. There were many times that Taylor Lautner followed Taylor Swift around but it seemed like Lautner felt like he was putting all the effort and Swift wasn’t. It’s one of those cases where “I-love-her-more-than-she-loves-me” kinda breakup.
The two had not confirmed that they were dating but both have shown some kind of affection for each other including a joke on SNL. But according to the source close to the magazine, “There was no chemistry.”
Although the two had parted ways, they stated that they intend to remain friends. I know many of you are happy about this news…

Without Senator Kiko Pangilinan’s help, I wouldn’t have realized the ultimate dream of meeting the Megastar Sharon Cuneta. Georg Nava was instrumental as well as she corresponded with me all throughout before I made my trip to Manila. Senator Kiko Pangilinan was as generous and gracious in meeting me in Makati. I got to exchange a few words with him as well. I support him all the way. The chance of this meeting was realized simply because of a Youtube Video I made for both the Megastar and The Senator (see videos below).

If only I lived in the Philippines, I wouldn’t have missed this event. I really liked Eugene Domingo and find her very funny so I kept plugging her movie “Kimmy Dora – Kambal sa Kyeme”. I would have loved to meet her in person, including Dingdong Dantes whom I have a huge crush on… haha! But I had already made my trip to Manila in May to meet the Megastar and Sen. JFK photo with nude women – a hoax?
Just fresh from the oven, TMZ reported earlier that the photograph of John F. Kennedy on a yacht deck with naked women all around him was examined by forensics and was confirmed as authentic is now re-stating that the photo could be a fake.
An email was received by TMZ stating that the photo is from a 1967 Playboy Photo Shoot. A call was placed to Playboy confirmed that the photo did run in a 1967 issue.
UPDATE: 1:11 PM ET A rep from Playboy tells TMZ the photo ran as part of story titled, “Playboy’s Charter Yacht Party: How to Have a Ball on the Briny with an Able-Bodies Complement of Ship’s Belles.” She says the photo was taken in on one of the islands that make up the Grenadines (Petit Rameau). – Source

Breaking News: Tiger Woods Partying With Mistress? Could this be true?

Could this be true? If so, Tiger Woods is not only out of his mind, but would be out of cash. He couldn’t be that stupid. How could someone who’s getting worldwide attention for philandering have the nerve to go out and party with THE MISTRESS?
Entertainment Tonight published an article today which says that a “source” tells them that Tiger Woods and Rachel Uchitel (Mistress #1) had been spotted in Palm Beach, Florida and is reported also to be living together?

That’s what sources tell ET, and Woods wasn’t alone. Rumors that Tiger and reported mistress No. 1 Rachel Uchitel were spotted holding hands and mingling with about three hundred other partygoers Sunday night inside a private mansion in Palm Beach, Florida.
Some even say the couple is living together in Palm Beach, where Woods’ yacht is reportedly docked and where Uchitel has even been photographed.
Reports also surfaced that the couple partied together Saturday night at the Everglades Club in Palm Beach.

A photograph of what is believed to be a photo of President John F. Kennedy taken in the 1950s has been published by TMZ.com. This never-been-published photo appeared on today’s post and it shows a figure on the deck of the yacht who looks like John F. Kennedy while naked women are on the upper deck and two other naked women on the side jumping into the water.
A photo that could have “altered world events” according to TMZ. Of course, if this photo was released before JFK ran for presidency in 1960, the turnout could have been different and the world may be totally different today.
TMZ had experts examine the photo and compared it to a super-imposed photo of JFK during the Democratic National Convention and the similarities are eerie. It is believed that the photograph is authentic.
If you think Tiger Woods is suffering from harsh criticisms today, imagine what could have happened to JFK back then if this photo was ever released.

A movie to watch out for in 2010 – Percy Jackson and the Olympians – Video Trailer
There seems to be a lot of movies next year that I can’t wait to see. Starting Valentine’s Day, movies abound. Here’s one that would probably peek your curiosity. From the makers of Harry Potter movies comes Percy Jackson and the Olympians, The Lightning Thief. It’s a story about demi-gods – The term “demi god”, meaning “half god”, is used to describe mythological figures whose one parent was a god and whose other parent was human. A few examples of demi-gods include the Celtic hero Cúchulainn, Sumerian king Gilgamesh, Jesus, Ancient-Germanic “woodsman” Ansel and Greek hero Heracles.

Jasper Schuringa – our new hero from NW Flight 253

What first looked like fireworks to fire inside NW Flight 253 turned out to be an attempted terrorist attack. An attack was planned by Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab aka Abdul Mutallab who was subdued by Jasper Shuringa, a video producer and director from Amsterdam, and is now being hailed as a hero.
Jasper Shuringa suffered burns in his hands when he took what was siad to be explosive chemical powder in Abdul Mutallab’s lap.
“I pulled the object from him and tried to extinguish the fire with my hands and threw it away,” Schuringa said.
He said he managed to pull an object tucked between Abdulmutallab’s legs.
“Water! Water,” Schuringa screamed. He heard fire extinguishers as he pulled Abdulmutallab out of his seat and dragged him to the front of the plane.
Schuringa said he stripped off Abdulmutallab’s clothes to make sure he did not have other explosives on his body. A crew member helped handcuff him…
He said other passengers applauded as he walked back to his own seat.
“My hands are pretty burned. I am fine,” he said. “I am shaken up. I am happy to be here.”

Many of us (or all of us) have received a SPAM email about the Nigerian Bank or Consulate giving away sums of money to the unknowing person who will be scammed. Or to that wealthy heiress who wants your bank information so her entrusted caretaker can wire you the money.
Well, most of us push the delete button right? It’s an annoying email and it’s simply a scammer trying to get us to provide them with our personal information.
