When the press people asked Cesar Montano about the status of his wife Sunshine Cruz’s libel case against his sister Ched Manhilot-Cantu, he politely declined to comment.

TNS National TV Ratings (March 3-8): Tribute to Francis Magalona helped Eat Bulaga! beat Wowowee for a day
For the first time in a very long while, Eat Bulaga! overtook Wowowee in the battle for noontime supremacy.
The longest-running noontime show in the country devoted its entire show last Saturday, March 7, to a tribute for one of its co-hosts, Francis Magalona, who passed away a day earlier, March 6, after a long battle with leukemia. Eat Bulaga‘s rating shot up to 25.6 percent to lead all daytime programs. Perennial top-rater Wowowee got 20.1, percent slipping to second place.

News about Francis Magalona’s death was what people avidly watched last weekend. That’s why programs featuring tributes and stories about the Master Rapper gained favorably in the ratings.
Eat Bulaga!, which has been Francis’s home for so many years, devoted its entire show last Saturday, March 7—a day after he succumbed to leukemia—to pay tribute to the King of Pinoy Rap. That episode generated a rating of 35.3 percent, which is way up the normal rating of the country’s longest-running noontime show. Aside from topping the daytime race, Eat Bulaga! was also the second highest-rated show last Saturday after Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho.
The very strong showing of Eat Bulaga! created a snowball for GMA-7 shows throughout the day. Showbiz-oriented talk show Startalk, which is being aired right after Eat Bulaga!, posted a rating of 24.3 percent; which is also much higher than its usual rating. Startalk had the first on-cam interview with Francis’s wife, Pia Arroyo-Magalona and their children.

Okay, maybe I will be revealing my real age here but I don’t care… I wanted you guys to know that life is really way too short for us to care about such things. I was still in high school when “Bagets” came out in the movie theaters. In fact, I watched the movie’s premiere at Greenbelt. I saw the whole cast and to make the long story short, it is one of my most memorable life experiences. At ito pa, may nag-approach pa sa akin after the show na badinggerzie at tinanong ako kung gusto ko raw mag-audition for Bagets 2… KIYEM!!!!!!! Hahaha! If I know, gusto lang akong hadahin nung baklitang yun!
Anyway, back to my tribute. The movie was a coming-of-age movie and I really identified with it so much that it remains one of my favorite pinoy movies – I still watch it to this day.
I already left for the US when Bagets 2 came out with Francis Magalona in it. I do know Francis Magalona from his rapper days (he was the most famous one and THE ONLY ONE who’s good in my opinion). I don’t particularly like rap, pero Kiko made it sound tolerable. His dance moves were superb as well.

Notes from detectives on the case state that the fight started when RiRi read a three-page long text message from some chick to Chris Brown. The two started fighting about the text and Chris tried to push her out of the car, but her seat belt got in the way. The notes go on to say that he pushed her head into the passenger window and began punching her while he was driving. Oh, he’s a fucking multi-tasker.

Not since Feng Shui did I feel the horror of a Chito Roño film until now. Diamond Star, Maricel Soriano stars in Chito’s new horror film entitled, Tenement 2. I heard that it was filmed in Tenement, Taguig and that the actors burned both sides of the candles to get this filming done.
It would be another good offering since Chito Roño knows how to make horror films. Is he the “Stephen King” of the Philippines? Maybe not quite..but I like his horror films. I hate hearing the “Psssst” sounds.. it’s so freaking scary…

1. Tivo
Can you imagine if, instead of “TiVo-ing” the latest episode of Lost, you were “Bongo-ing” it? “Bongo” and “Lasso” are just two of the 800 possible names the marketing folks kicked around before settling on TiVo. The final name was cobbled together from “TV” and the engineering acronym “I/O,” which stands for “input/output.” Little did they know their noun would become a verb and their oddly-named invention would forever change the way people watch television.
2. Bluetooth
Despite the lack of dignity displayed by people who shout into their Bluetooth headsets wherever they go, the name of the device actually has a rather regal origin. In the 10th Century, Danish King Harald Blatand was able to unite warring factions in Norway, Sweden, and Denmark under one banner. Similarly, the developers of the Bluetooth signal wanted to unite many different forms of technology – cars, computers, and mobile phones – under one communications network. So when they were coming up with a name, they went with the English translation of the Danish king’s last name, “Bluetooth”
3. Hulu
Hulu means many things to many people. To some, it’s a great online resource for watching their favorite TV shows and movies.
