I need to revive my online business.
The economy, although it’s providing us little glimmers of hope with a few signs here and there. The shipment count for exports are up (hopefully it keeps up). The interest rates remain low and house prices are still at a bargain with the market prices remaining steady. However, there is still a great need for extra income. I told you all about my online store before. I did get quite a bit of success in it but I had to close it down when my web host kicked me out due to some java script errors on my sites.
I just realized that the income I made from my business website or online store was enough to provide for my daily needs (outside of my mortgage payments) and it was something that helped me financially. I do want to revive my online store and make my blogs more attractive as well. I have the traffic, I just need to make my sites more presentable for advertisers to come in and knock on my doorstep again. I am going to try and contact them to canvas prices and speak to a professional for assistance on how I should approach reviving my online store. Watch out for the announcement once I have decided to renovate all my blogs and revive my online store. Of course, my readers will be the first to know. Just wait.
We canceled our trip.. :(
I was sooo looking forward to our planned cruise in October through California to Mexico. It was something we had planned a couple of months back. I have never been on a cruise and it seems like the experiences my buddies had were nothing but fun. Unlimited food, fun in the sun and all night clubbing. The one thing I was so excited about was the casino! You all know me well by now and I have told you that I really enjoy a little gaming here and there. It is fun for me. So, if the cruise plans had gone through (we canceled because of the H1N1 virus going on at this time), I would alot at least one night for the casinos.
Since we had canceled, I am going to miss playing. I do go online at times to play and there are US Online Casinos available online. I am one lucky person. Chuva started in operations with very little or no background in our industry. Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan for Vice President? Sounds good to me!
Hello mga ka-chika!!! As you may have already heard, Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan has hinted in the past that he will be running for Vice President as an independent candidate come Philippine Elections in 2010. It was recently confirmed by Megastar Sharon Cuneta.
Although most of his supporters would rather see him run for the Presidency, his move to eye the 2nd top post has been welcomed as well. As published on Inquirer.net last March 23rd, Kiko mentioned that he would be observing surveys and study other aspirants while he assess his chances.

A jumbo jetliner that serves as Air Force One, escorted by a military jet, flew over Lower Manhattan Monday morning, frightening office workers and causing evacuations in what turned out to be a publicity operation approved by a unit of the U.S. Air Force.
Louis Caldera, Director of the White House Military Office, took responsibility for the incident, saying he approved the “mission” last week. “Last week, I approved a mission over New York. I take responsibility for that decision,” he said, “While federal authorities took the proper steps to notify state and local authorities in New York and New Jersey, it’s clear that the mission created confusion and disruption. I apologize and take responsibility for any distress that flight caused.”

I desperately need a free weekend.
Haaaaaaaaaa! I’m so stressed! I am preparing for my vacation coming up next month (actually, in two weeks), trying to meet deadlines at work, studying for an exam for school and taking care of everything as well (dog, house, etc.). It’s way too much for one person to do and before I used to be able to take a break in-between – going to Atlantic City, playing a couple of rounds of poker or slots. but I haven’t even done that.
The weekend coming up is supposed to be a free weekend for me where I plan on doing nothing but vege out at home. It’s been a while since I had a free weekend planned. Maybe, I could even play some poker from my favorite poker site without having to worry about driving anywhere. I could play the game right at home, in my bedroom! Ha! It couldn’t get any better than that. I really enjoy playing games online. It relaxes me somehow coupled with the excitement of possibly winning money in the process. That somehow gets my adrenaline flowing. So folks, my phones will be off this weekend. I plan on doing nothing but relax and play a little game of poker. Time to practice the things I learned in Stress Management.

I saw this video on Reyna Elena’s blog and was prompted to watch it. I was very impressed with this kid. Although he’s a boy, he sings Rihanna and Mariah very well. Anak ng pateng, biglang sisikat ito..
Jessica Soho interviewed the kid and the boy surely has a great potential. I just don’t know how he could be on the mainstream singing Rihanna and Mariah – - and when his voice changes as he ages, what would happen then?

A book which the Venezuelan leader Hugo Chavez presented to US President Barack Obama at the Americas summit has become a bestseller in just two days. “Open Veins of Latin America” recounts, as its subtitle says, “Five Centuries of the Pillage of a Continent”
The book, Open Veins of Latin America: Five Centuries of the Pillage of a Continent, was ranked 54,295 on the sales charts of bookseller Amazon.com.
Now, it has risen to number two.
Written by Uruguayan author Eduardo Galeano, the book looks at the impact of foreign intervention in Latin America in the past five centuries.
It covers the continent’s conquest by the Spanish nearly 500 years ago right up to the present day.

Grey Gardens on HBO – Premiering April 18th
One of the documentaries I’ve seen (which was shared to me by my good friend, Joey) is Grey Gardens. I saw it all on Youtube.. and it was quite amazing. The story is somewhat unbelievable but it did happen.
Now, the documentary has been re-created starring Jessica Lange and Drew Barrymore and it will be airing its premier tonight. I was surprised at how these two actresses have managed to act almost identical to the original. Watch the two videos below:

If you guys remember back in December when I had to scramble and look for another host for my blogs because my previous web host was going to kick me out due to the intermittent issues my blogs were having and as I was told, “was pounding their servers” because of incorrectly placed scripts. Again, I am not a techie and I wouldn’t know what to do with the scripts even if it hit me straight in the face to correct them.
I thought that their “support” would assist me in order to correct the issue but rather, they chose to kick me out. Granted they gave me a warning that if the issue I had with my blogs should happen three times, they would kick me out. However, in the process where I am trying to debug and figure out what’s causing the issue – the event happened three times and they kicked me out.
My blogs were without a home for a week and I had to scramble and find another web hosting company to host my blogs. I went online immediately and searched for the best web host I could find to replace my old one. I was running several blogs with them and an online store so it was imperative that I found one immediately. Thank goodness for the websites out there such as Web Hosting Choice dot com where I was able to review several companies and make my decision. With the help of a fellow blogger, we were able to move all my sites to the new web host and my blogs were up and running again.
Don’t get caught without options – check out web hosting sites where you can review web hosts and find out how much it will cost you to host with them. Make sure you read the reviews as well to aid you in your decision. It did me a lot of good.

Since my most favorite movie of all time is The Sound of Music, it wasn’t hard for me to relate. I knew this song since I was a child and I don’t know who doesn’t.

MEGAMOUTH SHARK PICTURE: Ultra-Rare Shark Found, Eaten in the Philippines

April 7, 2009—In just a short time, one of the rarest sharks in the world went from swimming in Philippine waters to simmering in coconut milk.
The 13-foot-long (4-meter-long) megamouth shark (pictured), caught on March 30 by mackerel fishers off the city of Donsol, was only the 41st megamouth shark ever found, according to WWF-Philippines.
Fishers brought the odd creature—which died during its capture—to local project manager Elson Aca of WWF, an international conservation nonprofit.
Aca immediately identified it as a megamouth shark and encouraged the fishers not to eat it.
But the draw of the delicacy was too great: The 1,102-pound (500-kilogram) shark was butchered for a shark-meat dish called kinuout.
