The Negastar (Chuva Chienes) and The Megastar (Sharon Cuneta) – Unplugged
Okay okay, so there I was talking to Sen. Kiko Pangilinan. He gave me a small token and thanked me for creating the videos of him and Ms. Sharon Cuneta. He said that he appreciates the support as well. Our conversation was very brief as he was rushing to go to another meeting. I was totally tongue-tied and didn’t know where to begin, what to ask, what to say. I had Georg Nava watching us from the background and I couldn’t say a word except, “Thank you Senator for taking the time to meet with me… thank you.” I told him as well that the video became an idea for me because of my admiration for Sharon and her works. It so happened that I found out more about him than Sharon after posting the video as I had to do my research to fend off negative comments from the post.
In an instant, he instructed Georg to contact Sharon Cuneta’s PA (Penny) to see if there is any opening to her schedule and see if Sharon could meet with me. As he was instructing Georg, I was listening with ALL THE HOPE that there would be some time that Sharon could meet with me. A text message was sent. Patiently, we waited for the response. As we sat there at the MESA Restaurant, having our “sago and gulaman” drink, a text message response came in. Yes, Mam Sharon was having a presscon at the Shang-ri-la promoting her new album “Children’s Rhymes and Lullabyes”.
The text message said – YES! WOHOOO!!!
But with all the traffic (it was a weekday) and how busy Sharon was with the presscon, I still wasn’t sure whether there will be time. We got to Shangri-La. The presscon had already started. After the Q&A there will be scheduled interviews with Ricky Lo, German Moreno and other TV networks. I watched her up close in awe. I have never been this close to the Megastar. It was a few hours before she can even take a break from the interviews… and when a break came….
In one day, my dream came true! I was introduced to Sharon (The Megastar) as the blogger behind Chuva Chienes dot com (The Negastar – hahaha! Dahil sabi ng mga friends ko, negative daw ako when it comes to relationships hehehe!) . She was very busy and I was a bit apprehensive because I was taking time from her from her busy schedule. But she was very gracious, told me about the US Tour (Mega30Tour and was invited to join her in NJ PAC Prudential Hall to attend her concert there) and that she was scheduled to leave in a couple of days. I asked if we could have a photograph taken and she willingly obliged.
Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think I would meet the Megastar – IN PERSON and personally introduced!!
To Georg and Penny — thank you very very much~!! This would not have been possible without your help and coordination! Thank you Sen. Kiko Pangilinan as well for sending us to Shangri-La for the “historic” meeting!
I am still in awe. Sharon Cuneta may not remember me anymore, but I will never forget the moment I met her. Thanks Sharon! More power and God Bless!!

I was pleasantly surprised how nice she was. I have always heard rumors but I watched her work the crowd. She’s human and I know that there are times na talagang imbyerna ka sa mga tao, specially if you’re going through something.
Pero talagang super sweet siya and very real when I was introduced to her. She looked me straight in the eyes and said, “Nice to meet you!”
Maganda talaga at napakabango – hahaha! Hoy tigil na.. baka kung san pa mapunta yan.. hahaha!! I love her!
wow! starstruck ako! it would be such a dream come true for me to meet my fave star and to know that they are as human as we are

It was indeed a blessing that we were able to execute both meet-ups in just half a day.
