One of the hottest comediennes in the Philippine Showbiz industry today is Eugene Domingo. You may well remember her for her roles in Tanging Ina Ninyong Lahat opposite the great Ai Ai delas Alas, or her most dramatic role on MMK. She is also host to the showbiz gossip show, Cool Center.
Well, Piolo Pascual has produced another movie (after Manila, which was shown at Cannes Film Festival last month), called Kimmy Dora (Kambal sa Kyeme). Topnotch hunk, Dingdong Dantes is paired with the comedienne in this movie which also includes Paolo Contis, Miriam Quiambao and Baron Geisler also guest stars to name a few.
I’m sure this would be a great movie granted that Eugene Domingo can actually carry her own weight in comedy. The title alone makes one giggle let alone the movie itself. Directed by the renowned director, Ms. Joyce Bernal.

Mismong ang leading man niya sa The Wedding na si Derek Ramsay ang nagbanggit na brother ng ex-girlfriend niyang si Solenn Heusaff, na isang professional make-up artist ang bagong nali-link ngayon kay Anne. At ang name ng guy ay si Erwan Heusaff. Si Solenn ay kaibigan din ni Anne. This time, maaring mas gusto ni Anne na tahimik na lang siya about her love life para maging maganda ang takbo ng relasyon nila. ‘Kasi it’s not, you can’t claim because it’s not a relationship yet. It’s not that. I just don’t want to talk about it muna. He’s not part of this industry. It’s best to just keep him out muna.’

Gabby Concepcion wants to grant fans’ wish to see him and Sharon Cuneta in a movie
PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) visited Gabby Concepcion during the photo shoot of his second album yesterday, June 25, in San Juan City.
Although the former matinee idol is not yet allowed to reveal the exact details of his second project with Warner Music, Gabby still gave a hint to PEP. “Basta mga standards ‘yon, mga narinig na natin. Of course, babaguhin lang natin ang arrangements. Mayroon din akong makakasama. Hopefully, makakasama ko rin sila.”
He added, “Nasa akin na ‘yong mga songs. ‘Yong mga songs na ibinigay sa akin, puwede kong baguhin, puwede kong dagdagan. ‘Yong recording, mag-uumpisa kami this week. Hopefully, by next month, pagkatapos na mabago lahat, kasi pina-fine-tune pa ‘yon, e, it can be released na.”
DAHIL MAY ISANG IKAW. The actor related that the planned release date of the album would be good. “Kasi next month will be the opening of our teleserye with Lorna Tolentino, ‘yong title ngayon ay Dahil May Isang Ikaw,” he explained.
Gabby said he felt the same excitement he had for Iisa Pa Lamang when he learned about his next TV project. “Noong story conference, ang feeling na naramdaman ko is the same impact as Iisa Pa Lamang.”
Aside from being a new project, Gabby is also glad to star in Dahil May Isang Ikaw because he will be reunited with Lorna Tolentino. He said that working with her again made him remember their past movies together, like Narito ang Puso Ko (1992) and Kislap sa Dilim (1991).
“Nakakapanibago, parang recalling the past,” he said. “Kasi kami ni Lorna, gumawa na ng mga pelikula in the past, during the ’80s. So, parang, ‘Aba, akala mo during the ’80s ang ginawa natin.’ Mayroon na kaming mga eksena ni Lorna pero wala pa kaming mga eksena na mabibigat. Very light pa lang ang mga scenes namin, may mga flashback pa nga, e.”

Pagkatapos lumabas sa ASAP ’09 last Sunday, June 21, ang baguhan at kontrobersiyal na Star Magic talent na si Maricar Reyes, tuluyan nang nabura ang haka-haka na wala na siya sa bansa at lumipad na sa U.S. kasama ang kanyang pamilya. Ang balita kasi noon ay umalis na ng Pilipinas si Maricar pagkatapos sumabog ang sex videos nila ng ex-boyfriend niyang si Hayden Kho.
Ilang linggo bago lumabas si Maricar sa ASAP ’09, isang source ng PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) ang nakausap mismo ng controversial commercial model turned actress. AGB Mega Manila TV Ratings (June 23-25): Eat Bulaga! zooms back to No. 1
Eat Bulaga! is back on top of the daytime race. The longest-running GMA-7 noontime program consistently generates 26-plus ratings to lead all daytime programs; followed by the following Kapuso soaps: Kung Aagawin Mo ang Lahat Sa Akin, Ngayon at Kailanman, and Daisy Siete.
ABS-CBN’s noontime show Wowowee, meanwhile, occupies the fifth spot.
The primetime race is hotly contested by the action-adventures series Zorro and the primetime newscast 24 Oras. Zorro took the lead June 23 and June 24, while 24 Oras grabbed the lead June 25. Both programs are from the Kapuso network.
Kapamilya network’s Primetime Bida block also makes a strong showing, occupying three spots in the Top 5: Tayong Dalawa, May Bukas Pa, and Only You.
TNS National TV Ratings (June 23-25): Kambal Sa Uma scares away Wowowee

Kapamilya programs continue its domination in the national ratings, based on the latest survey of Taylor Nelson Sofres (TNS). The ratio in the primetime race is 6-4, while its 6 to 7 ABS-CBN shows compared to 3 to 4 GMA-7 shows.
The family drama May Bukas Pa, which has been on the air for almost five months, remains strong in its position as the No. 1 primetime program; producing a rating as high as 41.7 percent (June 23).
Five other shows Kapamilya shows consistently make it in the Top 10. These are Only You, TV Patrol World, Tayong Dalawa, Boys Over Flowers, and Pinoy Bingo Night.
The other four slots are being occupied by the following GMA-7 programs: Zorro, 24 Oras, Totoy Bato, and Adik Sa ‘Yo; trailing behind as much as 50 percent from their rival programs.
The competition in the daytime race gets exciting as the afternoon soap Kambal Sa Uma managed to grab the top spot from noontime show Wowowee last June 24. But the noontime show hosted by Willie Revillame occupied that spot June 23 and June 25.

According to CNN.com, fans of Michael Jackson snaps the biggest part of his legacy — HIS MUSIC.
It is understandable. We like to hold on to a piece of someone whom we admire and respect. His fans are showing it. CNN reports,

Whether you purchase music by Michael Jackson or a poster, it is a valid sign of mourning. It is indeed a great loss.

With the death of Farrah Fawcett and Michael Jackson,it wasn’t long before rumors start to fly all over the place on the net, and on Twitter claiming that Jeff Goldblum (The Fly) died in an accident while shooting a new film in New Zealand and that Harrison Ford (Indiana Jones) also died on board a yacht while cruising St. Tropez.
Come on. This is not the time to make those jokes. Please have some respect.
The truth is, Harrison Ford is alive and well, and Jeff Goldblum’s publicist said that the actor is fine as well.

Michael Jackson dead at 50 after cardiac arrest.
Michael Jackson (1958-2009). Michael Jackson was taken to the hospital shortly before 1:00 p.m. as reported by TMZ.com after being found by the Los Angeles Fire Department unconcious and not breathing according to Capt. Steve Ruda.
Paramedics were then called and he was taken to UCLA Medical Center. According to reports from different news websites, they tried to revive him. The pop icon died and according to LA Times, was pronounced dead this afternoon.
The pop icon was planning a comeback concert starting in July at the London’s 02 Arena. It has been said that the series of 50 shows were sold out. They were talking ticket sales in millions which are now questionable whether it would be covered by insurance or not.

I’m hearing cardiac arrest or heart attack but not confirmed. Michael Jackson, 50 yrs old., was apparently rushed to UCLA Medical Center this afternoon shortly before 1:00 p.m. The current condition is unknown at this time, TMZ.com reports.
His father, Joe Jackson says he’s been alerted but still do not know at this time what happened.

70′s Sex Symbol – Farrah Fawcett passes away
After three years of battling cancer, Farrah Fawcett has died. She passed away approximately before 9:30 a.m. at a Santa Monica Hospital.
Known for her role in Charlie’s Angels, together with Jaclyn Smith and Kate Jackson, she became more popular when her poster (photo above – taken in a red swimsuit) sold millions of copies and became a wall decor for every teenager’s room at the time.
She was married to Lee Majors (Million Dollar Man) until 1982 when they divorced. She then started a relationship with his longtime partner, Ryan O’ Neal. They even had plans to re-marry just recently.
She is survived by her son, Redmond and longtime companion, Ryan O’ Neal. She was 62 years old.

This is crazy news. I read about this on the paper while they were still looking for the whereabouts of the South Carolina Governor, Mark Sanford.
The Governor disappeared for four days without the knowledge of his staff and his family. When he finally re-appeared, he said that he went hiking in the Appalachians. Uhhhmmm okay….
But later on, someone said that they saw him at Logan Airport in Atlanta. Hmmm.. fishy? Yes! He was apparently coming back from a trip to Buenos Aires, Argentina. Why?
Okay – back in December, rumors were circulating that emails between the Governor and a “mistress” were found. The emails have now surfaced and the Governor finally had to admit that he had an affair with an Argentinian woman.
Still unclear who the woman really is but has been identified to be Maria Belen Shapur. The search on the internet for her photos has gone haywire and actually showing in Google Trends as a “volcanic” trend… No one has come up with a verifiable photo so far.

The winner of “I’m a Celebrity, get me out of here!” is… Lou Diamond Phillips
Hello peeps! Ha! He’s now being referred to as “Lou Diamond Phillips – King of the Jungle”! He won on the reality show, “I’m a Celebrity, get me out of here!” beating two other celebrities, John Salley and Torrie Wilson according to reports by CNN.
I’m specially proud of Lou Diamond Phillips because as you all know, he is Filipino. He was born as Lou Diamond Upchurch at the (then) Subic Bay Naval Station in Zambales, Philippines. His father was an American with a mixture of Scottish, Cherokee and Hawaiian descent and his mother was Filipina of Spanish, Chinese and Japanese descent – according to Wikipedia.
Further reports on CNN.com states that he has chosen to give part of his prize money to a charity called “Art has Heart Foundation”. The foundation provides assistance to High School students from lower income families.
He became famous from his roles in Young Guns, Courage Under fire.. and most notably as Ritchie Valens from the movie, “La Bamba” in 1987.

The successful “Mano Po” franchise by Regal Entertainment has had many A-List stars in their movies. Maricel Soriano, Susan Roces, Vilma Santos, Cherry Pie Picache and Angel Locsin to name a few.
Now, with the addition of Sharon Cuneta (Mano Po 6) on the roster of A-Listers in the Mano Po series, this surely gains another attraction to the franchise that would be too irresistible to the Megastar fans.
Her first film ever with Regal Entertainment, Sharon Cuneta is excited.
Reports from Philstar by Ricky Lo states that she had a very successful US Tour, most notably the one in NJ PAC Prudential Hall in Newark, NJ (where she invited yours truly)… eventhough she was running a 41 degree fever.
A truly amazing star… she is sure to shine with the title role in the franchise.

After the Separation Announcement, Should Jon and Kate Continue on with the Show?
That is now the big question being asked of the couple (Jon & Kate) after they announced Monday, during their one hour special that they are separating.
It is understandable that added pressures from the show may have contributed to the deterioration of their marriage but according to Kate, “It was bound to happen with cameras or not.”
The couple has eight children, a set of twins and sextuplets. They both seem to be okay with continuing with the show even after the announcement.

GLAAD not happy with Perez Hilton’s words used against will.i.am of BEP

Perez Hilton created a video blog in response to his argument with will.i.am of the Black Eyed Peas and Polo Molina, the band’s manager. He mentioned words in his blog calling out derogatory names used like the F* word.
According to E-Online, GLAAD (Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation) wasn’t happy with the way Perez Hilton responded to the assault that occurred in a Toronto night club.
“I don’t need to respect you, and you’re a f-g. You’re gay, and stop being such a f—-t,” the openly gay Hilton said in a videoblog response to reports of a fight between him and the hip-hop singer in Toronto.
I must agree with GLAAD on this. He (Perez) shouldn’t even be using those words as they are the words that breed hate and division. He should learn from this lesson as well. I know that being assaulted is in no way acceptable but retaliating with words of hate (specially using the words that hurt gays the most) is not acceptable either.

Similar to the image (poster) created by an artist of Barack Obama, someone has created a similar poster representing Neda Agha-Soltan capturing the gruesome moment before she died after being hit by a bullet in the chest.
Neda Agha-Soltan, 27 yrs old, according to news reports is an Iranian student, working as a part-time travel agent who happened to be at one of the protest rallies in Tehran. She was shot in the chest and as she lay down fighting for her life, someone took a cell phone video up to the moment of her death and posted it on Youtube.com.
News reports state that the image of Iran before were usually old-bearded men. With Neda, it shows that Iran has changed. Iran is now represented with a more youthful generation with a definite quest for freedom. Women in Iran have had a great participation in the election which is being thought of by the opposition as fraudulent and warrants another election.
An Early Show showed the poster and immediately became the poster for Iranians who are crying for freedom.

Nagsilbing hosts ng awards night sina Bianca Gonzalez at Tirso Cruz III. Nag-perform sa opening bilang Hall of Famer as Most Popular Dance Groups ang SexBomb Dancers, Streetboys, at VIP Dancers.
Ilan pa sa mga nag-perform ay sina Gary Valenciano at ang You’ve Got Male (Gian Magdangal, Jan Nieto, Harry Santos, at Bryan Termulo), at ang Box-Office Queen na si Sarah Geronimo. Kinanta ni Sarah ang theme song ng box-office hit movie nila ni John Lloyd Cruz na A Very Special Love.
