Like ordinary commuters, Gretchen Barretto takes the bus to work. But unlike everyone else, Gretchen actually owns the bus.
“I was postponing [my taping for Maalaala Mo Kaya] because walang banyo,” she tells YES! magazine in the July 2009 issue. “I was supposed to be poor. So, kung nasa squatters ako, pa’no ‘yon? Twenty-four hours ka magwo-work, tapos walang banyo? E, I’m so maarte with banyo. So I said, I’ll get a bus.”

I was so engrossed for a good twenty minutes while browsing through the new blog that I found concentrated on Celebrities with their Birkins. Not so recently was the Megastar Sharon Cuneta spotted with her very own Crocodile Birkin (presumed to have cost her $39,000 USD) bag when she returned from her trip to Hong Kong.
Hermès (pronounced air-mez) bags are made by hand. The waiting period is so legendary that it could be as long as five years. The price ranges between $8,950 to as high as $160,000 dollars depending on the rarity of the crocodile skin. Very interesting blog I must say. Although the blogger admits that he is not an expert, he simply loves and adores birkins. So you can simply go to the blog and amuse yourself on which celebrity owns which bag.
There are two popular types of Hermes bags – a Kelly (named after Princess Grace Kelly of Monaco) and a Birkin (named after Actress and Singer Jane Birkin). Princess Grace was apparently photographed with a bag back in 1956 (used the bag to conceal her pregnancy) and the story about Jane Birkin varies. Just visit the blog after watching the video below:

I have watched him on the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson. I watched him host “Star Search” for years. Ed McMahon is an icon and just like Johnny, he will be remembered fondly in the industry.

I haven’t even seen the movie “Milk”, where Sean Penn won Best Actor for his role as Harvey Milk, the first elected official in the U.S. who was openly gay. Watching this documentary opened a lot of answers as to why we should care, why we should press for equal rights. Not only for gay rights, but Human Rights.
The Times of Harvey Milk – A documentary is a must see. You can see what we are faced with as human beings… as people.

Not heeding the warning from will.i.a.m, a member of the Black Eyed Peas, Perez Hilton was allegedly punched in the face after an argument broke between him, will.i.am and Fergie early morning at a nightclub in Toronto. Allegedly, the manager of the band, Polo Molina punched him after and argument with will.i.am in warning Perez not to write about the band on Perez’s website.
Perez Hilton (Mario Lavandeira) sent a Twit stating, “I am bleeding. Please, I need to file a police report. No joke.”
Polo Molina has turned himself in and has been charged with assault, according to reports.

Earthquake Jolts Anchorage Alaska Monday Morning

A strong earthquake with a magnitude of 5.4 jolted Anchorage, Alaska this morning sending people to run for cover under desks for safety.
No injuries were reported so far but there were reported one every half-hour aftershocks measuring at 4.2. The Alaska Tsunami warning stated that there is no danger for a Tsunami with the measure of less than 5.3 magnitude.
Tax credit for home purchase could rise

I guess this is some very good news to homebuyers everywhere. The tax credit for home purchase could rise from 8 K to 15K.
The tax credit which is scheduled to expire by fall and lawmakers have asked for an expansion in order to get home sales booming again.
“With the tax credit scheduled to expire in fall, some business groups say the amount of the credit, now capped at $8,000, should be raised to $15,000 and applied to anyone who buys a home.”
This is great news to friends of mine who are looking to buy their new homes.
Big Night HD Movie Trailer – Starring Marco Morales
The resilient indie actor, Marco Morales – has a new film entitled “Big Night“. From the makers of “Butas”, comes another film showcasing the lives of prostitutes. Directed by Alejandro “Bong” Ramos. The movie will be in theaters on June 24, 2009.
Starring: Jaycee Parker, Jordan Herrera, Marco Morales, Althea Vega, Sophia Lee, Kian Cruz, Lorraine Lopez.
The only thing I don’t like about indie films that are produced and marketed by the Philippines is what seemed to be the “always tragic ending” film. There is no victory, there is not a feeling of “wow!” after you’ve seen the film. You always seem to end up feeling depressed.
Why not make one like “Slumdog Millionaire”? Although it has tragedies in the film, the end seems to lift you up and make you feel good.

Woohoo! I had planned this anyway back in April of this year. Chuva Chienes will re-invent her website just because I had lost my personality once I started blogging about celebrities. Don’t worry, it won’t change that much – I will still provide snippets of Celebrity life but it will be in a different format.
This is an ever-changing world and one must adapt to the changes. Two years ago, when I started blogging I was asking myself, “What would this blog represent?” I juggled many thoughts in my mind – Personal, Making Money Online, Current Events…. but couldn’t come up with an answer. Air France to compensate crash victims $24,500

Air France has been in touch with the 1800 families of the Airbus A330 crash that disappeared and crashed into the Atlantic on June 1st. The will pay 17,000 euros ($24,500) as an initial compensation for each victim of the crash. It has been said that it was difficult to contact the families of all 228 victims. 50 bodies have been found so far.
The cause of the crash is still unknown and bits and pieces of the plane has been recovered. The blackbox however, has not been found. It is also still unknown whether the victims were killed before or after impact.
Still, the main suspicion are on the plane’s Pitot tube which senses and transmit the plane’s speed to be monitored by the pilots.

Iphone 3.0 Release Time- Are you waiting?
iPhone fans have been waiting for this release. It has been announced by Apple’s VP, Scott Forstall that the iPhone 3.0 OS will be released sometime today, June 17th but did not disclose the time. I’m sure all iPhone users are anxiously awaiting to download the new version and have stayed connected to their laptops just so they could be the first one to download the software.
I’m hearing between noon and 2:00 p.m. Eastern Time.. but I haven’t seen a confirmation just yet.
I don’t have an iPhone and I’m getting excited. Sheesh!

You may remember a post by her majesty, Reyna Elena two and a half years ago entitled An Ebay Story by Chuva Chienes? That was the time I shared my experiences with her about my eBay business and how I became successful at it. A year after that, eBay fees have risen, competitors came and I found that it wasn’t lucrative enough for me to continue. I decided to focus on making money online via blogging instead.
In the beginning, making money while blogging was very lucrative. It was a goldmine. I remember making 100.00 U.S. dollars a day simply by reviewing products online. I also remember making up to eight dollars to fifteen dollars a day on G Adsense. It was the heydays of blogging.
Although things have changed yet again, PPC and CPM rates have gone down considerably, opportunities to review product declined – there are still a lot of ways to make money online. One of them which still proves true to this day is eBay. There is no need for SEO projects, or tricks to get people to view your products. eBay has it’s loyal customers and you can find anything and everything that you’re searching for on eBay.
That is why, Chuva has decided to revive her eBay presence. I have many items which are very rare and collectible that I can list within minutes. I would like my readers to know that Chuva will be back on eBay soon… keep an eye on this blog. I will announce my listings once they are up.

John Lloyd Cruz and Luis Manzano – A glimpse to their intimate moments “In My Life”
Governor Vilma Santos-Recto, Luis Manzano, and John Lloyd Cruz have finally sat down with Star Cinema executives and Direk Olive Lamasan for a story conference on their much-anticipated movie that has been slated for a 2009 release. Aside from the film being Governor Vilma’s comeback project, the movie is also creating much buzz because Luis and Lloydy will be playing gay lovers. Faced with such a challenge, both actors have said that they are prepared to do anything that the script requires of them.
In the said story conference, Luis and John Lloyd were asked if they consulted their respected real-life significant others about accepting the gay roles. John Lloyd is in a three-year-old relationship with magazine editor Liz Uy while Luis is in a “special relationship” with Angel Locsin. Lloydy replied, “Ako hindi. Dapat ba? laughs. Trabaho kasi ‘to. Wala pa naman kami sa point na ‘yun [dapat i-consult ang work]. We have been together for three years. [Ang sa amin] kung trabaho mo ‘yan, trabaho mo ‘yan. Kung ano ang trabaho ko, trabaho ko. Pero alam niya na gagawa kami ng pelikula na ganito. Kung in the sense na kinailangan kong hingin ang permission niya, hindi. Ipina-alam lang, hindi ipinaalam.”
