Dra. Vicki Belo still can’t believe that Katrina Halili sued her and Belo Medical Group
Parehong nag-guest nang live sa Showbiz Central kahapon, July 5, sina Dra. Vicki Belo at Katrina Halili. Pero hindi nagkaroon ng pagkakataon na magkita ang dalawa dahil magkahiwalay ang dressing room nila at naunang sumalang si Dra. Belo kesa kay Katrina.
Pagkatapos manahimik ng ilang linggo mula nang pumutok ang kontrobersiyal na sex videos ng dating boyfriend ni Dra. Belo na si Hayden Kho, kasama ang iba’t ibang babae kabilang na si Katrina, ay pumayag nang magpa-interview ng cosmetic surgeon upang ipagtanggol ang kanyang sarili at ang Belo Medical Group. Matatandaang nagsampa ng reklamo si Katrina laban kay Dra. Belo dahil sa pagkalat ng sex videos nila ni Hayden, at sa Belo Medical Group dahil sa pagpapahintulot nito kay Hayden na magsagawa ng liposuction kay Katrina bagamat hindi pa raw sapat ang kaalaman nito.
Sa umpisa pa lang ay nagbiro ang Showbiz Central co-host na si MoTwister na dapat ay mag-behave sila dahil noong unang pagkakataon na mag-guest si Dra. Belo sa show ay nag-create daw sila ng “fireworks” at maraming intriga ang lumabas.Kaya this time, silang dalawa ni Raymond Gutierrez ang nag-interview sa cosmetic surgeon.
DRA. BELO SPEAKS UP. Sinabi ni Raymond na since marami na ang lumabas na intriga, maraming tao ang naghihintay ng interview ni Dra. Belo, but it took her a long time bago siya magsalita. Why?
“Because in the beginning, of course, nasaktan din ako sa nangyari,” sagot ni Dra. Belo. “Sobrang masakit talaga. I changed, e. I became extroverted. I didn’t go out. I just kept to myself. I wasn’t talking to any of my close friends about it. Parang I needed to absorb it.
“Pero ngayon, parang nagbaligtad na yata ang mundo. Ang alam ko, biktima po ako rito. Ako ang pinakamalaking biktima, I think. Pero ang nangyayari ngayon, ako na ang idinedemanda. Ako na ang inaano na ako ang nag-upload ng videos. Ano nangyari rito? I think, it’s time naman na magsalita ako para ipagtanggol ang sarili ko.”
About the uploading part, does she know how to upload things on the Internet?
“No, zero! The only thing I know to do is word processing. I don’t even do e-mails. I don’t know anything,” sabi ni Dra. Belo.
Tanong naman ni Mo, “With all these cases going on now at nalaman pa na this week, you lost your father, he passed away… You’re in the immigration watch list. May mga attacks sa business mo. When you look back about this year, ito ba ang pinaka-lowest point sa buhay mo?
“I think, it’s definitely one of the lowest, the lowest or the second lowest because the last time I felt this depressed was when Atom [Henares, Vicki's husband] and I broke up. But now, it’s on all fronts, e, it’s all my business, it’s my personal life… My father passed away. One of the reasons I opened the clinic in Cebu is so I can visit him [her father] every month. My Cebu clinic has been only open for four months, and then he left me already, so that’s really painful.
“You know, Mo, as usual, I always look at the bright side. There’s two sides to every coin. I’ve found out naman how much my patients love me. How much they give me support because before, it’s a bit more impersonal—I’m the doctor, they are my patients. But now, they come to me with prayers and words of encouragement. My children have become more closer to me. I’m closer to my brother and sister.”
WHY HAYDEN DESERVES A SECOND CHANCE. Ayon kay Raymond, “A lot of people, napaka-negative ng tingin kay Hayden. So, is Hayden worth all these troubles?
“I always think about that. And I think, I’ve come to the conclusion that it’s better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all,” sagot ni Dra. Belo.
So, walang regrets tungkol kay Hayden?
“No regrets.”
Napatawad na raw ni Vicki si Hayden for what he has done. Pero para sa ibang tao, bakit kailangang bigyan ng second chance si Hayden?
“Well, I think, in the 29 years that Hayden has been alive, 28 years has been very good. If you look at his past records, his friends from school, everybody will say how a decent man he was. And I think, you know, everybody, somehow, I don’t want people to judge his life for this one incident. I feel that everybody deserves a second chance.”
KATRINA HALILI. Napunta naman ang usapan kay Katrina Halili, na sinasabing isa sa “major players” sa kontrobersiyang ito. Tinanong ni Mo si Dra. Belo: “What hurt more, Katrina having an affair with your longtime boyfriend na si Hayden, or Katrina suing you, especially with the fact that she was an endorser of yours and someone who you think you treated very well?
“Well, definitely, it’s for having an affair with Hayden, because that’s something that was so painful. There’s nothing, it’s a lost relationship, di ba? As far as the things she sued me for, I’m so sure that I’ll be cleared. I know I haven’t done anything. So I will win that part.
“It’s really painful. I thought she’s my friend. Four years of friendship. I defended both of them when there were rumors in the beginning, so it really hurt me, extremely painful in a personal level,” sagot ni Dra. Belo.
