In his portfolio are roles and film efforts that no popular actor of today would probably touch for fear of their so protected image. His acting foundation has helped him make his given role in "Tayong Dalawa" very impactful and moving. He can instantly shift from the dreadful Ramon to the endearing grandson of Gina Pareno. My only fear is this: either Coco's craft will become limited by the cautious moves in the mainstream entertainment industry. I wish that he keeps his craft and hones it better with every role that comes his way. MY GREATEST WISH is that is indie films explore other themes than gay plots -- nothing wrong with gay stories. Only, Coco has explored them to the hilt already. It's time to explore other roles, other stories and other themes where he can explore other aspects of his acting; roles and stories that can expand his reservoir of feelings which he can use to make mainstream entertainment more interesting. We need new dimensions to what we see as "matinee idols" -- most have become templates in their acting technique: one facial expression, one attack in delivery which shows a lack of dimension.
