Madonna’s Arms.. is not of a 50-year old.. more like 70.
I saw this picture first from E-Online and they only showed the arms first. You get to guess who it belongs to. I don’t know but for some reason I guessed it right. I have been watching Madonna’s biceps for a while.. I don’t know why. I seem to focus on her arms every time she’s on TV carrying her son, or simply touring Malawi. What’s with all the veins popping out?
It’s pretty scary isn’t it? She’s not that old.
Roger Federer reports that his wife, Mirka Vavrinec, has given birth to twin girls through his own (the world’s number one tennis player’s) website.
The 27-year-old Swiss, who has won a record 15 grand slams, said his daughters Charlene Riva and Myla Rose were born on Thursday in Switzerland.
“This is the greatest day of our lives,” Federer said on www.rogerfederer.com. “Mirka, Myla and Charlene are all healthy and doing very well.”

Gabby Concepcion: ‘Hindi na ako sanay sa love scenes’
After his successful comeback in the teleserye Iisa Pa Lamang, Gabby Concepcion is ready to wow the Filipino viewers again in Dahil May Isang Ikaw which reunites him with leading lady Lorna Tolentino. In a chat with ABS-CBN.com, the dashing actor talked about some of their characters’ heartrending struggles. “Kami ni Lorna nung araw kaya lang nagkahiwalay kami ng hindi naman ginusto. Tapos siyempre tapos na lahat e, hindi na natin pwede ibalik ang nakaraan pero ‘dahil nga merong isang ikaw’ ay hindi nawawala yung pagmamahal na nararamdaman namin sa isa’t isa,” he began.
Gabby hasn’t seen the rushes yet, but he felt confident that the new soap would meet critics’ expectations again. “Palagay ko malalampasan nito [yung na-achieve ng Iisa Pa Lamang] kasi nung nabasa ko yung script, meron mga revelations na ikagugulat talaga nung characters. Dun ako nagising na parang ‘Wow!’ Ini-imagine mo pa lang, nakikita mo na maraming pupuntahan yung storya,” he added.
As for working with Lorna, Gabby said that that has always been an extraordinary experience for him. He admitted he still remembers their sensual love scene in Kislap Sa Dilim (1991). He was amazed that it evoked emotions from viewers even if they didn’t show too much skin. “Wala namang pinakitang body, puro head shot lang pero ang lakas ng impact kasi makikita mo yung love nila sa isa’t isa. Ang hirap i-project nun especially kung mukha mo lang ang kukunan ‘di ba? Ako kasi ‘pag nanonood ako either I get carried away or I don’t. Pero ako mismo na-carried away sa eksena namin noon e. Tsaka dati meron akong pelikulang hindi pinanood kasi hindi ko nagustuhan ang role ko. Pero lahat ng pelikula ko kay Lorna pinanood ko talaga,” he recalled.
Speaking of love scenes, Gabby jokingly added that he seems to be losing his touch when he shot one with Angelica Panganiban for their movie I Love You Goodbye. “Hindi na ako sanay e! Kaya conscious ako. I’m a very private person kasi,” he joked. “Pero siyempre I’m doing my best for the sake of art.” But he was clearly flattered when told that Angelica previously mentioned to ABS-CBN.com that being around him is just like hanging out with someone her age. “’Yan ang sinasabi ko! Mahal ko naman talaga ‘yang batang ‘yan, mabait naman kasi. Wala naman siyang pinapakitang masama sa akin. Ang tingin ko sa kanya parang batang kapatid kaya masaya at very comfortable ang feeling,” he replied.
Since they had worked together a few times already, it was not that difficult to establish rapport for their movie. “Sa samahan namin wala akong masabi. She’s very professional, masarap kaeksena, nakakatuwang kasama. Kasi bukod sa Iisa Pa Lamang nakasama ko din siya sa Europe kaya talagang nakapag-bonding kami. Yun yung nag-show kami for TFC kasama si John Lloyd (Cruz). Kaya nga nung tinanong sa akin kung sino ang gusto kong maging next leading man ni KC, sabi ko si John Lloyd kasi nababaitan din ako sa kanya. Kaya sa tingin ko pagkatapos nitong kay Piolo (Pascual, Lovers In Paris) maganda sigurong makapareha niya si John Lloyd,” he beamed.

As detailed in a previous ABS-CBN.com report, Vilma Santos commended Claudine Barretto on her acting skills, saying that Claudine could very well be the next Star for All Seasons. ABS-CBN.com got the chance to get Claudine’s response to the veteran actress’s praise during the StarStudio Celebrity Charity Series with Claudine and Diether Ocampo held last July 26 at Manila Ocean Park. “Ang sarap ng pakiramdam sobra, pero bilang isang Vilmanian ayokong may pumalit o sumunod sa yapak ni Ate Vi. Cancer spreads from Ex-Pres. Aquino’s colon to her liver.
AsiaOne reports that a family member of the Former President Corazon “Cory” Aquino confirmed that the ex-President’s health has become so delicate due to the spread of her cancer from the colon to the liver.
‘Initially it was in the colon but now it has spread to the liver,’ said Aquino’s son, Senator Benigno Aquino Jr.
Due to that, she couldn’t undergo chemotherapy. The family isn’t sure that any intervention at this time may or may not worsen her condition.

GLAAD reports HBO – Ranks #1 in shows with Gay Characters
According to Yahoo news, GLAAD (Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation) has found HBO ranked highest to have shows that included gay characters; including bisexual and transgendered people last season as taken from June 1, 2008 – May 31, 2009.
HBO – 42%
Showtime – 26%
ABC – 24%
CW – 20%
Fox – 11%
NBC – 8%
CBS – 5%
Largest growth among TV networks is TNT which showed a 19% jump compared to 1% for the same season last year.
I guess we have to be thankful that they are including US everywhere now. It is a fact of life and the more people are exposed to it, the more they will understand what homosexuality is, what we are about and who we are.
“Television shows that weave our stories into the fabric of the series present richer, more diverse representations,” said Rashad Robinson, GLAAD’s senior director of media programs.
In September, GLAAD will release its annual report evaluating gay, bisexual and transgender inclusion, and other diversity, among scripted characters scheduled to appear during the 2009-10 season. Monday’s report said TV characters in general are predominantly white, regardless of sexual orientation.

American Idol’s Alexis Cohen Dies in a Car Crash

News broke out this morning about “Glitter Girl” – Former American Idol contestant, Alexis Cohen who died in a car crash and was found dead in Seaside Heights, NJ at 4 a.m. this morning.
Autopsy reports from Deputy Chief Michael Mohel of the Ocean County Prosecutors Office indicates that she suffered chest, head and abdominal injuries.
Cohen auditioned for American Idol in Philadelphia back in August of 2007 and then again on American Idol’s Eight Season. One video shot of her went viral when she was being rude to the judges during the screening.
Controversy: Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes deny living together
Both of them may be tracking different career paths nowadays but Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes still have that “stick together” factor in their personal lives, especially with regards to birthdays (Dingdong ‘s birthday is on August 2; Marian, August 12). Last year was awesome as Marian and Dingdong jointly celebrated their birthdays with a concert that emphasized the word “happy” in “happy birthday.”
How they’ll be celebrating this year is still unclear, but the two stars do already know what cool birthday presents they’ll be giving each other.

Ang sarap ng feeling na makausap ang mga Kapamilya fans all over the world dahil nung nasa ibang bansa ako, naramdaman ko din yung kalungkutan e. So yung makapag-communicate ka ng ganito sa kahit na anong oras na gusto mo is one of the best things na pwedeng mangyari. I’m happy na naimbitahan ako para pasayahin ang mga kababayan natin kahit papaano,” he said in an interview with ABS-CBN.com right after the said event.
Vilma Santos talks about her rivalry with Nora Aunor
While Vilma Santos and Nora Aunor were the greatest rivals in showbiz decades ago, their fans are still very passionate about their idols and their rivalry. When Vilma received the Ulirang Artista Award during the 25th Star Awards for Movies last May 28 at Irwin Theatre, Ateneo de Manila, some Noranians in the audience made some rude remarks about her win.
But the Star for All Seasons took it all in stride and even felt embarrassed when her supporters angrily answered back. “Pagkatapos mangyari nun, hinintay ko lang matapos yung tribute kay Nora. If you noticed I went out. Sinabihan ko yung presidente [ng Vilmanians] na huwag na kayong sasagot. Nagwo-worry ako baka paglabas niya (Nora) mag-clash na naman. So sabi ko, ’Huwag na ipangako niyo…’ Kabilin-bilinan ko na kapag may ganon, hindi na dapat pinapatulan yun, ako ang nahihiya. Hindi na ako nagpapaapekto sa mga ganon,” she related during her grand press con for Vilma Santos: A Woman for All Seasons TV special.
The fact that she and Nora are closely matched when it comes to their dramatic prowess is something she even gave as an example during her acting workshop with the selected young stars of ABS-CBN. “[Siguro mata-touch si Nora] sa mga sinabi ko sa workshop. Merong isang topic dun na binanggit ko na yung mga new breed of stars ngayon marami sila, hindi kamukha nung time namin ni Nora. Kung ano mang nakuha namin noon, kinayod namin yun. Ngayon dahil may TFC kilala ka na agad, kami hindi. Pupunta pa kami ng mga probinsiya para lang makilala ka. Yung type ng era namin talagang pinagtrabahuhan namin,” she stressed.
Though there are more opportunities for aspiring actors to make it in the biz today, Vilma agreed that they still have a long way to go before they can really be called a true-blue superstar. No one could have made as much box office hits as she and Nora did during their time. ”Kaya nga sabi ko kung merong aangat, mahirap talaga. Lahat dumadaan sa mga workshops, nung araw wala kami nun. And then tinanong ako kung sino ang mga masasabi ko na mga hinahangaan kong artista. I gave Lolita (Rodriguez) and Nora. Let’s face it. Sa totoo lang ‘di ba? Kasi kahit anong sabihin ni’yo phenomenon yun,” she maintained.
On a lighter note, she was happy to know that both her and Nora’s followers are still there, even if their showbiz careers are not that active anymore. “Hindi na ata mawawala yan, forever na ‘yan (Vilmanians versus Noranians). But that’s good, buhay pa ang mga dugo nila. After so many years pinag-uusapan pa rin kami ni Nora hanggang ngayon. I think kami lang yung ganon. Naka write-up kami. Si Guy wala dito sa Pilipinas pero napag-uusapan pa rin. That’s a good sign. Mas matakot kami kapag wala na. Ibig sabihin wala na silang pakialam sa amin,” she remarked with a laugh.

KC Concepcion has been chosen to be the cover girl of the 9th anniversary issue of Chalk Magazine and she explained why the popular college magazine has a very special place in her heart. “This is just my second time to be on the cover of Chalk Magazine. But the first time was matagal na, 2003 pa. That was one of the first few magazine covers I did kaya memorable sa akin ang Chalk. I’m excited kasi nga matagal na rin akong hindi lumalabas sa Chalk. I’m thankful that they chose me to be in the cover for their anniversary issue.”

If you are a regular visitor here at Chuva Chienes dot com, I’m sure you know me by now. Madaling ma-infatuate si Chuva. I meet all sorts of people and sometimes, I do become infatuated with some of them. Do you all remember JOSH? Yup, he’s one guy I became infatuated with last summer. We remain very good friends and thank God for that.
The most recent one was Eric. As you may all know, he is a bar tender at the bar that we normally go to once a month in Philadelphia. I blogged about him before. Like all infatuations, medyo nahulog ang ditse ninyo. I was hoping for the impossible. He became a very good friend of mine in a matter of weeks and now I was expecting more.
I know that it isn’t right specially knowing that the guy is straight and has a girlfriend. Pero, it’s not bad to dream naman di ba?
Tonight, he said that he may be leaving his job. He hugged me tightly and said, “I will keep in touch. “
Hope or no hope, he has become a part of me na. I know. It seems very strange di ba? In a matter of three weeks, ganun na ‘ko kahulog sa kanya. But like the tattoo on his wrist said, “This too shall pass.” (yes, that’s his wrist on the pic above) – I’m sure that I will get over it. Former President Aquino’s Historic Speech Before U.S. Congress
In case you have forgotten, or have not seen the historic speech Former President Corazon Aquino gave before the U.S. Congress in September 18, 1986, I am posting the videos here.
She has always made me proud. Tita Cory Aquino gave us, the Filipino people, something that we have lost for two decades under the Marcos rule – that is democracy.
I posted it here so that the youth of today will understand what we have fought for, what she fought for. With the upcoming elections in 2010, I would like to remind our people that we have a choice; preserve our Democracy or go back to Dictatorship.
We owe our ailing Former President this: What she fought for must not end in vain. We have a responsibility to her and to Ninoy Aquino. We have to stand up against corruption and dictatorship. We are a people of power. Let us not forget it.
My prayers go out to Tita Cory Aquino and her family at this very difficult moment in their lives. God bless you Tita Cory. You will forever be our hero.

Geoff Taylor of the Next Big Star Contestant Racy Pics Spread over the Net
GMA-7′s Are You The Next Big Star contestant, Geoff Taylor admitted that he was aware of the racy pics spreading over the net. Pictures of him in a bikini, and sometimes wearing only his underwear were pictures he claims were in a cellphone he had that was stolen.
He stated to PEP that he had those pictures when he joined the Mossimo Bikini Summit Competition in 2006. Some of the pictures taken of himself in his underwear were pictures he took himself because he said that he was admiring the fact that from being a scrawny young boy, he now has ABS to show.
Further more, he said:
“Hindi ko naman po dini-deny. Ako po ang mga nasa picture na iyon.”
You may remember him when he joined the very first season of Pinoy Dream Academy. He came out third.
Well, for me – okay lang yan. It’s a part of life. Ang daming mga racy pics ng mga popstars dito sa US no.. Just look at Miley Cyrus and Vanessa Hudgens. Basta go lang ng go – and go after your dream! Cute ka pa naman.
“Erin Andrews Peephole Tape Video Watch” – still on TOP
It’s been several days already since the news broke out about a Sports caster and a blogger named Erin Andrews when a video of her was taken au naturel without her knowledge through a peephole in a hotel room. Today, it still tops Google Trends. What is wrong with this picture? Either people haven’t seen a naked lady before or they are simply obsessed with celebrities.
I read the other day that Erin had to call 911 because someone was knocking at her door at 2 a.m. in the morning and wouldn’t leave. The video may have spawned stalkers as well which would scare the living heck out of me if I was her. It turns out that it was a media representative wanting to interview Erin Andrews.
The weird thing is that major networks are reporting the news and shows still shots of the tape. I mean, come on people! Erin Andrews and her lawyers fought very hard to keep the video off the internet and they were successful. They threatened to sue anyone who participates in spreading the video. Yet, you turn on the television and there you have it.
I think that the person who made the video must be prosecuted. This is more than in invasion of privacy situation. This is a criminal act. I guess “Erin Andrews Peephole Tape Video Watch” will still be in “volcanic” status on Google Trends for a bit.
To anyone who’s looking for the video, be careful. Lots and lots of links are being provided over the internet but they are nothing but links to malicious malwares and viruses.

The bit of news I read always includes Jon or Kate Gosselin. I go on Facebook or read my Twits and there they are as well. What in the world? Okay, if you ask me, I think Jon is semi-cute. I read on E-Online News that he’s looking to land a “solo” reality show. There were no confirmations just yet but come on. He keeps on saying that his kids are his priority but what the…???
Fame. I guess it is addicting. When the lights and cameras go out – - what would he do then? Be careful what you wish for Jon. Remember, you still have about 20 to 30 some episodes left on your current reality show.
