I don’t know who’s trying to cash in on what here… obviously, Levi Johnston (my ex-boyfriend haha!) is stating that Sarah Palin resigned in order to cash in on her popularity. Book deals and reality show… wow!
But according to reports, Levi is working on his own book deal as well. And… he wants to be an actor! I’m sure people from Hollywood would be delighted to have him. He is a good looking bloke and for sure, there is already a fan base there (I’m the president!).
Kidding aside, this is what he said verbatim:
“She had talked about how nice it would be to take some of this money people had been offering us and you know just run with it, say ‘forget everything else,’” he said.
He said he thinks book deals were really what appealed to Palin.
“I think the big deal was the book. That was millions of dollars,” said Johnston, who has had a strained relationship with the family but now says things have improved.
Now, let me ask you. If you were Sarah Palin with half a million dollars in lawyer fees – - wouldn’t you?
All I know is that I am waiting for Levi’s first film. I think it’s entitled, “Knock ‘em up, and leave ‘em!”

KC Concepcion finds Piolo Pascual a very supportive leading man

KC Concepcion is gearing up for her first teleserye Lovers in Paris which is set to premiere on ABS-CBN Primetime Bida soon. In an interview with ABS-CBN.com, KC admitted that she is a bit nervous because maintaining high ratings for a teleserye is more difficult than coming up with box office success for a movie. But she also said that she is very thankful to be getting the support she needs from the entire production team of the upcoming teleserye, especially her leading man Piolo Pascual. “No one can deny that Piolo Pascual is a big star. Na-master na talaga niya ang pagiging actor lalo na sa teleserye. Alam na alam na niya lahat, mula sa pag-aaral ng script, paggalaw sa camera, working with your director and the crew. Sa pago-observe ko pa lang sa kanya ang dami ko nang natututunan.”
Lovers in Paris has been in production since March of this year. Production was put on hold for a while though when KC went with her mother Sharon Cuneta to the US for a month-long concert tour. Now, KC has returned to set where she said she is having a much easier time because of the help she is getting from Piolo when it comes to acting. “He’s very generous naman sa pag-alalay sa akin. Madalas kakausapin niya ako na, ‘Alam mo, may sikreto ako. Ang ginagawa ko kasi…ganito…ganyan.’ ‘Yun lang malaking tulong na mula sa kanya.”
KC’s acting credits include the stage plays The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, and Katy, the Musical; movies For The First Time and When I Met U; an episode of Maalaala Mo Kaya; the mini-anthology I Am KC; and a guest role in May Bukas Pa. The 24-year-old beauty said that through her previous experiences, she has learned the value of trusting her director so she’s thankful that she’s learning a lot from Lovers in Paris director Erick Reyes. “Si Direk Erick naman nakatrabaho na niya halos lahat ng magagaling sa ABS-CBN. Kung ano man ‘yung na-impart niya sa kanila that made them better actresses now I’m thankful na naishi-share rin niya sa akin. Feeling ko may mga napupulot akong magagandang learnings from him. Mahaba-haba pa ang tatakbuhin ng taping namin so I’m looking forward na marami pa akong matututunan.”
KC also gets encouragement from her mother, Sharon. Being a film actress and recording star for 30 years now, Sharon knows the secret to staying positive despite the long hours of work. KC said that her mother advised her to always make it a point that she is enjoying her time on the set. “Just have fun. ‘Yun ang madalas niyang sabihin. ‘Wag ko daw kalimutan na dapat nag e-enjoy ako sa set. Ang problema kasi kapag pagod na ang mga tao after long hours of taping karamihan nagsusungit na. Dapat lahat tumatawa pa rin kasi dun ka huhugot ng energy mo to go on with the work. Kung titingnan mo maliit lang na bagay ‘yung pagtawa pero kapag inisip mo malaki ang naitutulong niya.”

Ai-Ai de las Alas crosses paths with Santino

ABS-CBN.com visited Ai-Ai de las Alas on the set of May Bukas Pa where she shared how happy she was about her guest appearance on the top-rating primetime teleserye. “Napakaswerte ko at napasama ako sa mga bigating guest stars ng May Bukas Pa. May sinasabi sila na lahat ng nagge-guest dito e bine-bless ni Bro kaya pinapanalangin ko na sana magkatotoo ‘yun.”
Previous guest stars of May Bukas Pa include Gabby Concepcion, KC Concepcion, Susan Roces, Claudine Barretto, Anne Curtis, Lorna Tolentino, and Toni Gonzaga. Ai-Ai’s last teleserye was the long-running I Love Betty La Fea where she played the mother of Bea Alonzo. The Comedy Concert Queen told ABS-CBN.com how her character in May Bukas Pa will have a life-changing experience upon meeting Miracle Boy Santino played by Zaijan Jaranilla. “Ako si Aling Delilah. My my, oh my Delilah, ha ha ha! Kapatid ako dito ni Arlene Muhlach. Mayaman siya dati. Paborito siya ng tatay niya kaya lang may nangyaring problema kaya may haharapin siyang pagsubok. Hindi ko na ikukwento, basta abangan niyo na lang. Mami-meet niya si Santino at dun magsisimulang magbago ‘yung buhay niya.”
Ai-Ai said that her character in May Bukas Pa will still show her comedic flair to entertain the millions of viewers religiously following the teleserye. “Comedy itong magiging istorya ko. Siyempre gusto pa rin ng mga tao na natatawa sila. Iba dun sa mga nakaraang story na heavy drama at puro iyakan. Kung iyakan ang gagawin ko e ‘di sana naging dramatic actress na lang ako, ha ha ha!”
Like what previous guest stars have noted, Ai-Ai also talked about the extraordinary talent of Zaijan which she noticed when they did a scene together. “Ang bait-bait na bata niya. Parang angel talaga. Nung nagka-eksena kami napansin ko na napakahusay niya talaga. Mahusay siyang mag-memorize ng linya. Napakatalinong bata.”
Ai-Ai also said that she is very thankful to “Bro” for showering her with so many blessings. The comedienne talked about praying for good health for the mother of her “friendship” Kris Aquino, former President Cory Aquino, in her battle against colon cancer. “Patuloy pa rin ang prayers ko para kay Tita Cory. Binigyan ko nga siya ng inspirational book. Alam ni friendship Kris kung gaano ang pagdarasal ko para kay Tita Cory.” Furthermore, Ai-Ai is also praying for the immediate recovery of her “BFF” Sharon Cuneta and her family. “Huli kaming nagkita ni Mega nung nag-guest ako sa talk show niya. Ngayon kasi na-ospital ‘ata ‘yung dalawa niyang anak at siya parang may ubo din kaya nagte-text lang kami. Ipinagpe-pray ko nga sila na sana ay gumaling na sila lalong lalo na ang aking BFF.”

Sarah Geronimo doesn’t want to be called the third wheel
Sarah Geronimo is relieved that she’s no longer being accused of causing the John Lloyd Cruz-Liz Uy breakup. Sarah was alleged to have been the third wheel in the relationship, the rumor stemming from a successful onscreen team-up with Lloydy that led to two blockbuster hits. “Siyempre meron po akong image na pinapangalagaan sa mga kabataan at ‘yung ma-involve ka sa ganung klaseng intriga is something serious. Hindi rin biro so relieved lang,” shared the Pop Princess.
But Sarah’s fans have a different take on the issue. Now that Ruffa Gutierrez is being romantically linked to John Lloyd, Sarah’s fans are disappointed that their idol did not end up with the actor. Sarah called on to her fans to understand that her team-up with Lloydy is just part of a job. “Sa fans naman inevitable naman ‘yung mag-hope sila na magkatuluyan ang dalawang artistang magkapareha sa pelikula. Pero ‘yun din ang kailangang tanggapin ng mga tao na parte ‘yun ng trabaho ng pagiging artista,” she explained. “As fans, kailangan din nating malaman kung ano ‘yung limitasyon natin kumbaga meron kaming kanya-kanyang pribadong buhay na kailangan ding irespeto.”
Sarah revealed that she remains friends with Lloydy and the last time they talked was during the 40th Guillermo Mendoza Scholarship Awards ceremony where they were awarded titles as the Box Office King and Queen. “Okay naman daw siya. Kami naman po hindi namin masyadong napag-uusapan ‘yung masyadongpersonal na buhay,” she said.
Meanwhile, during a recent press conference that launched Sarah’s new TVC of a makeup line she is endorsing, she was asked if she thinks that her being linked to Rayver Cruz was just a ruse to boost publicity for the actor. Rayver is now rumored to be courting Melissa Ricks, which both young stars have since denied. “Natutuwa rin naman po ako sa concern na pinapakita ng mga supporters. Tulad ng sinabi ko kailangan din naman ng respeto ng mga artista sa private life nila. Sinuman ‘yung gusto nilang ligawan hayaan natin sila kasi freedom nila ‘yun choice nila ‘yon. ‘Yung pagiging judgmental siguro iwasan natin,” she stressed.

Gabby Concepcion appreciates changes in showbiz since his heyday

“Nakakapanibago,” said Gabby Concepcion when he was interviewed about his experience in taping his upcoming TV series Dahil May Isang Ikaw.
It can be remembered that Gabby had not practiced his actor’s craft for almost 13 years since he went into self-exile in the U.S. after the 1994 Metro Manila Film Festival scam.
When he returned early last year, Gabby starred in the longest-running drama program Maalaala Mo Kaya. But his comeback was actually marked with his portrayal as Atty. Raphael Torralba in the hit TV series Iisa Pa Lamang.
Although he has been acting in a few more TV shows, Gabby admitted that he’s still trying to get used to the many changes in the entertainment industry since he left. To familiarize himself with the latest in local showbiz, the 80′s matinee idol started watching local shows while he was still in the States.
He related, “In the past, hindi ko talaga masyadong pinanonood ‘yong mga pelikulang natatapos na namin. Pero ito [mga teleserye ngayon], gustung-gusto kong sundan. Maybe because matagal din akong nawala kaya lately, or even before dumating ako, pinanonood ko talaga ‘yong mga bagong nangyayari ngayon para ma-update.
“Bago ako umuwi, alam ko nang uuwi ako dahil nakausap nga ako ng ABS-CBN na there’s a possibility. Pero hindi pa kami nagpipirmahan during that time na nasa Amerika pa ako. My wife, Jinbee, watches also, so sabi ko, ‘Tingnan ko nga kung sino ang mga bago ngayon dahil hindi ko na sila kilala.’ So, kapag nanonood siya, kapag nasa bahay ako, napapanood ko na rin.”
Thus, he was able to compare how he did the job before with the style of the young generation of actors.
“Tinitingnan ko sila, magagaling na rin pala silang umarte,” he commented.
He was glad about the current trend in show business whereby actors attend several workshops before they start taping a show.
“Nauso pala ulit ‘yong workshop. Kasi, noong umalis ako, ang nagwo-workshop noon sina Laurice Guillen. And I found out na sila pa rin hanggang ngayon. Kaya naalala ko ‘yong workshop ko noong una with [movie director] Lino Brocka, pero mas naging active sila noong later years. I’m happy to know na sila pa rin hanggang ngayon, ‘no? Magaling sila, ang galing ng nangyayari sa workshop.
The 45-year-old actor elaborated on the benefits he got from these acting workshops.
“Pagkatapos mo kasing dumaan sa workshop, matitimpla mo na. Malalaman mo na kung saan mo gagamitin ang certain feelings, depends on the situation, depends on the script. So, malaking tulong ang workshop and I highly recommend it kung mayroong ibang papasok na tulad ko na matagal nang hindi gumagawa at babalik o yung hindi pa nakaka-experience sa industriya. Masarap ang mag-workshop.”
WORKING ON A TELESERYE. Before he left the country, soap operas were not as big a hit as they are today. Gabby admitted that this, too, has taught him a lesson about the changes in the industry.
“Alam mo naman ang mga teleserye, umiikot sa lahat ng tao, e, ang dami nilang mga twist sa stories. Nababago, gumaganda, kung minsan akala mo ‘yon na ang script pero kapag shooting na on that day, ni-revise na ‘yong script. So, kapag minemorize mo ‘yong lines mo for that day, you’ll just find out hindi na pala ‘yong lines mo.”
So, instead of the old style of memorizing the scripts, Gabby said, “Ang nangyayari sa amin, ewan ko lang sa iba, pero sa akin, hindi na ako nagme-memorize ng script. Binabasa ko na lang muna kasi kapag minemorize mo, iibahin na naman. So, mabuti pang i-memorize mo na lang sa set, unless hindi babaguhin. Ngayon, kung mahaba ang eksena, sa bahay pa lang, pinag-aaralan mo na.”
Besides preparing for his upcoming second music album, Gabby juggles time for his comeback movie with celebrity couple Angelica Panganiban and Derek Ramsay, I Love You, Goodbye. He also crunches his schedule to make time for his reunion project with Lorna Tolentino, the TV series Dahil May Isang Ikaw.
“Ang hirap minsan i-jumble ang oras kasi pagka-pack up mo rito, punta ka naman doon sa kabila. E, minsan ang pack up is 9:00 in the morning the next day, ‘tapos tatakbo ka na naman sa set sa kabila. Pero ganun talaga, lahat naman ‘yan may timetable, lahat naman ‘yan ay may taning,” Gabby said at the end of our interview
Marian Rivera excited over first taping day of Darna
From her bonding workshop with her co-stars in the upcoming GMA-7 primetime series Darna, tumuloy na si Marian Rivera sa Annabel’s restaurant sa Tomas Morato, Quezon City, yesterday, July 9, to meet select members of the entertainment press for a merienda cena.
Mula sa Narda ay balik na sa Darna ang official title ng susunod na primetime series ni Marian.
“Maraming salamat po na nagkasama-sama tayo ulit,” bungad ni Marian. “Bukas po kasi [July 10] first taping day ko na ng Darna at hanggang sa Sunday po, diretso ang taping namin.”
Napi-pressure na ba siya sa pagganap niya sa papel na Darna?
“Ayaw ko pong isiping napi-pressure ako,” sabi ni Marian. “Sabihin na lang po natin, excited na ako dahil three months din po akong walang trabaho. Na-miss ko rin po ang pagte-taping.”
Paano niya pinaghandaan ang role niya bilang pinakasikat na Pinay superhero?
“Naging concerned po ako sa katawan ko. Kung dati kain lang ako nang kain kung ano ang gusto ko, ngayon, nagda-diet na ako. Nag-training po ako ng wushu dahil makakatulong ‘yon sa akin sa stretching at sa paggamit ng harness. May mga eksena po kasing habang naka-harness ako, nagta-tumbling din ako kaya kailangang magaan talaga ang katawan ko. Kapag may time, nagdyi-gym din ako dahil kailangan ko rin ‘yon.
“Sinabi na rin po nila sa akin na ihanda ko ang sarili ko dahil pupuluputan ako ng ahas sa eksena. Hindi naman po ako takot sa ahas, pero sinabi ko sa kanilang totoo at buhay na ahas ang gamitin nila sa akin para mas maramdaman ko ito,” lahad ng aktres.
PLAYING DARNA. Sa mga nagsiganap ng Darna, sino ang mas tumatak sa kanya?
“Hindi ko po napanood yung ibang naunang gumanap na Darna. Pero ‘yon pong Darna ni Angel [Locsin], paminsan-minsan po napapanood ko noon dahil that time, may soap ako sa hapon. Pero ang tumatak po sa akin talaga ang Darna ni Governor Vi [Vilma Santos], kasi ‘yon po ang gagawin ko sa Darna, ‘yong story po niya. Lahat po ay mula sa mga Ravelo [family of Darna creator Mars Ravelo], approved po nila lahat ‘yon—costume, script, characters.”
Ready na ba siya na mai-compare, tulad ngayon na madalas siyang ikinu-compare kay Angel?
“Hindi naman po mawawala yung i-compare ako kay Angel,” sagot ni Marian. “Hindi po kami magkagalit ni Angel. ‘Tsaka magaganda naman po ang nababasa ko na binabati niya ako, na ako naman ang gaganap na Darna. Hindi ko po alam kung sinu-sino pa ang ibang gumanap na Darna, pero saludo po ako sa kanilang lahat dahil napakahirap po palang gampanan ang role niya.”
Lumabas na ang totoong costume niya bilang Darna, na sabi’y napaka-sexy raw. Totoo bang dahil may pagka-conservative ang rumored boyfriend ni Marian na si Dingdong Dantes ay nagalit daw ang young actor?
“Hindi naman po,” paglilinaw ni Marian. “Ang sabi lang sa akin ni Dong, ingatan ko raw ang sarili ko. Pagkatapos ng take, mag-robe daw agad ako para hindi ako magkasakit. Wala naman po siyang sinabi, very supportive po siya sa akin dito sa Darna.”
DINGDONG DANTES. Speaking of Dingdong, madalas daw ipagluto ni Marian ang aktor. Ano ang paborito niyang lutuin for Dingdong?
“Iba-iba po. Masipag po talaga akong magluto kapag wala akong ginagawa. Kung minsan, kesa lumabas pa kami, nagluluto na lang ako at sa bahay na lang kami kumakain. Paborito niya ngayon sa luto ko, chicken curry. Pero gusto pa rin niya ang sinigang at menudo,” nakangiting sabi ni Marian.
Ibig bang sabihin nito ay sila na ni Dingdong habambuhay?
“Sana,” sambit ni Marian. “Ang mahalaga, masaya kami, ini-enjoy namin ang ginagawa namin. Kung kami, kami talaga.”
Ibig sabihin, hindi sila nagseselos sa isa’t isa?
“Wala naman pong dapat o dahilan para magselos. Kung meron man po, asaran lang. Pero after five minutes, magkasundo na ulit kami.”
Wala na bang selosan dahil “nakuha” na niya si Dingdong?
“Hindi ko po siya kinuha, ako ang kinuha niya!” at napahalakhak si Marian. “Happy po ako dahil alam na ng lahat ang totoo, at siya ang pinakamahalagang lalaki sa buhay ko ngayon. Simula pa po nang una kaming magkasama sa Marimar, todo-suporta po siya sa akin. Lagi niyang sinasabi, nasa likod ko lang siya. Anuman ang gawin ko, nandoon lang siya.
“Nakita naman ninyo kung gaano niya ako ipagtanggol noong time na maraming intrigang dumating sa akin. Hanggang ngayon po, ganoon pa rin siya sa akin, hindi po siya nagbabago.”
Patuloy niya, “Noon nga pong trade launch, noong una kong isinuot ang Darna costume ko, ninenerbiyos po ako talaga dahil first time kong isinuot ‘yon sa harap ng ganung karaming tao. Sabi po niya sa akin, ‘Kaya mo ‘yan. Hindi ka nila kukunin for the role kung hindi nila alam na makakaya mo ‘yan.’”
Susuportahan ba niya si Dingdong kapag ito naman ang nagsimulang gawin ang hiwalay niyang soap na Stairway To Heaven? Sino ang gusto niyang makatambal ni Dingdong?
“Sino-sino po ba ang napipisil na makatambal niya?” balik-tanong ni Marian. “Hindi ko pa po alam kung meron na. Pero kahit sino ang makatambal niya, susuportahan ko siya tulad ng pagsuporta niya sa akin dito sa Darna.”
PRODUCT ENDORSER. Bukod sa TV and movie projects ay sunud-sunod din ang product endorsements ni Marian. Ilan na ba ang endorsements niya?
“Twenty-four na po,” sagot niya. “Sa ngayon po, ang pinaka-latest ko ay ang SM Residences. Pero nag-renew na rin po ang Fit & Right. Dapat may shoot din ako ng TVC ng Maxi Peel sa bago kong contract, kaya lang may taping nga po ako.
“Natawa sa akin si Momsie [Popoy Caritativo, Marian's manager] dahil tinanong ko siya kung bakit may mga billboards ako ng SM Residences na nawala na sa EDSA. Yun pala, kapag sold-out na, tinatanggal na nila dahil kapag may inquiry at sinabi nilang sold-out na ang units, tinatanong bakit daw naka-display pa ang billboard yun pala ay sold-out na. Mayroon pa pong bagong lalabas, along Tomas Morato. May itatayo din sila somewhere in that area.”
SEXIEST WOMEN. This year ay No. 2 lang si Marian sa FHM Philippines’ Sexiest Women in the World, kung saan ang No. 1 ay si Cristine Reyes. Last year ay si Marian ang nag-No. 1.
“Okay lang po kung number two ako. Pero nagpapasalamat pa rin ako dahil ang dami rin pong bumoto sa akin. Sayang lang na hindi ako makaka-attend ng party tonight [July 9] dahil may pictorial po ako,” sabi ni Marian.
Pagbibigyan na ba niya ang FHM para mai-pictorial siya for the cover?
“Hindi ko po masagot kung mapagbibigyan ko ang FHM kasi pumasok na po itong Narda. Siguro puwede kung Darna po ang ipi-pictorial nila,” saad ni Marian.
DETRACTORS. Patuloy pa rin ang mga intriga kay Marian mula sa mga detractors niya na pinaniniwalang mula sa kabilang network. Ngayong may bago na naman siyang show, ini-expect ba niya na madagdagan pa ang pang-iintriga sa kanya?
“Hayaan na lang po natin sila,” sagot niya. “Pero nakatutuwa po pala si Roxanne [Guinoo, ABS-CBN talent]. Magkasama po kami sa Tarot at bakla rin po pala siya, jologs!
“Sabi niya nung minsang nagkuwentuhan kami, ‘Bakit ganoon sila, ang bait-bait mo naman pala. Sabi nila prima donna ka raw, pero dumarating ka naman on time sa set. At kapag hindi ka nagti-take, nasa isang tabi ka lang. Paninira lang pala ‘yon sa ‘yo.’ Ang dami ko tuloy nalaman sa kanya na paninira nila sa akin!”
Nang tanungin kung sino ang mga naninira sa kanya, ito ang sinabi ni Marian: “Huwag na, secret. Sa amin na lang ‘yon ni Roxanne!”

Nawala kasi si Sarah sa eksena ng hiwalayan nina John Lloyd Cruz at Liz Uy, na si Sarah ang itinuturong dahilan. Ito ay sa dahilang si Ruffa Gutierrez na ang mainit na nali-link sa aktor.
“Hindi naman ako natuwa na parang nabura ako sa itinuturong dahilan, pero ang pinangangalagaan ko kasi, yung image ko. Partikular ako sa magiging dating ko, lalo sa mga kabataan. Kaya nga, napapansin naman ninyo, pagdating sa love-love na ‘yan, wala pa rin talaga. Yung ma-involve ka lang sa ganoong kaseryosong intriga, hindi biro,” sabi ni Sarah sa panayam sa kanya.

Erik Johnston Chua accuses Dra. Vicki Belo of making him the “fall guy”

Ongoing pa rin ang isinampang complaint ni Katrina Halili sa Department of Justice (DOJ) hinggil sa uploading ng sex video nila ni Hayden Kho. Last Tuesday, July 7, nakakuha ng kopya ng rejoinder-affidavit ni Erik Johnston Chua bilang sagot sa affidavits na ipinadala ni Dra. Vicki Belo at ni Katrina. Si Erik ang isa sa pinagbibintangang nag-upload ng mga sex videos ni Hayden sa Internet.
Sa bagong affidavit na isinumite ni Erik sa tanggapan ng DOJ noong July 7, sinabi nitong nagsinungaling daw si Dra. Belo sa kanyang mga statement. Tahasan ding sinabi ni Erik na ngayon lang daw niya na-realize na ginawa siyang “fall guy” ni Dra. Belo.

Hindi natutuwa si Annabelle Rama sa desisyon ng Department of Justice (DOJ) na ibasura ang libel case na isinampa ng kanyang anak na si Richard Gutierrez laban sa PEP.
Sa exclusive interview ng writer na ito kay Annabelle sa pamamagitan ng cell phone ngayong umaga, July 9, ni-lambast ng ina ni Richard ang desisyon ng DOJ, at nagdeklara siya na “hindi pa tapos ang laban.”
“Marami ang tumatawag sa akin kahapon [July 8] para interbyuhin ako, pero wala ako sa mood. Ngayon pa lang ako magsasalita dahil nasa mood na ako. Kailangang isulat mo ang lahat ng sasabihin ko para mauna ka dahil ito rin ang sasabihin ko sa mga mag-iinterbyu sa akin bukas,” pauna ni Annabelle sa pakikipag-usap namin sa kanya.
Patuloy niya, “May naglakad sa kaso dahil sa Makati kami nag-file, pero isang araw pa lang ang hearing, biglang nalipat sa DOJ ang kaso. Bakit hindi pinagbigyan ang fiscal ng Makati na maimbestigahan muna niya ang kaso? Wala bang tiwala ang DOJ sa mga prosecutor ng Makati? Bakit kinuha sa Makati ang kaso? Nagulat na lang kami dahil biglang sa DOJ ang hearing. May dumukot sa kaso.
“Sayang ang DOJ Prosecutor na si Sytat [Mary Jane W. Sytat, acting city prosecutor ng Makati City]. Siya ang humawak sa kaso ni Richard. Nagpadala siya sa mga sulsol. Bata pa naman siya. Malayo pa sana ang kanyang mararating. Paano pa siya magiging Justice? Hindi niya ni-review ang kaso dahil kung ni-review niya ang kaso, hindi matatalo si Richard.
“At yung lawyer ng PEP, alam ko na ngayon kung bakit tatawa-tawa siya. Alam niya na madi-dismiss ang kaso dahil nilakad niya. Ayokong banggitin ang pangalan niya. Basta, malaki ang kanyang mata at malalaki ang litid niya sa leeg!
“First round pa lang ‘yan. Mag-enjoy sila. Hindi pa tapos ang laban! Sure winner si Richard dahil umamin ang PEP sa kanilang pagkakamali. First round pa lang ‘yan. Mag-enjoy sila. Hindi pa tapos ang laban dahil kakampi ko ang Diyos!” pahayag ni Annabelle.
Sa panayam kay Annabelle, sinabi nito na ipinauubaya ni Richard sa kanilang legal counsel na si Atty. Angelica Y. Santiago ang mga susunod na hakbang. Ayon pa sa talent manager, nagulat din daw si Richard nang ilipat sa DOJ ang kaso.

The mystery surrounding where Michael Jackson’s body will be buried (or cremated for that matter) is getting more mysterious. Where did the casket go?
There were no confirmed reports that his body was interred at the Forest Lawn Cemetery, or that it was even taken there. So, where is it?

Rentometer sucks. It’s so slow.
One of the Google Trends in “Volcanic” status today is Rentometer. It’s a website where you can enter the location of your apartment (if you’re a tenant or a landlord) and based on the address and number of rooms in the apartment, Rentometer.com would analyze if you’re getting hosed or paying just right on your property.
Well, I just tried the site and the site is superslow. Maybe because of the people trying to access the site right now but it shouldn’t take more than a minute to analyze and provide you a result if you want the site to gain traffic.
I didn’t find it useful. It has now been more than 10 minutes and I still don’t have a result. I better just go back to work then, instead of waiting.
Not a good site in my opinion.

Now I am totally confused. There have been mixed reports about Michael Jackson’s burial location. Some sites say he will be cremated and ashes will be scattered at the Neverland Ranch. Others say that his body will be buried at the Forest Lawn Cemetery (known for the burial grounds of famous celebrities such as Lucille Ball and others). Now, sites are reporting that it is a MYSTERY?
What is it?
On top of that, The UK Mirror is reporting that according to TMZ.com Jacko’s sister, La Toya had a white leather glove made embellished with Swarovski crystals to be worn by Michael Jackson to his grave.
I wonder if the speech that one of Michael Jackson’s brother said at his memorial, “Now that you’re gone, maybe they will leave you alone.” will ever ring true …. hmmmm.

Edu Manzano on his son’s kissing scene with John Lloyd Cruz: ‘I’m excited, para maiba naman’
Maganda ang mood ni OMB Chairman and UKG Host na si Edu Manzano nang dumalo ito sa 20th anniversary ng ABS-CBN Foundation sa Meralco Theater. Matagal nang supporter ng ABS-CBN Foundation si Chairman Manzano partikular ang Bantay Bata 163. Kaya naman hindi raw siya nagdalawang isip na dumalo sa naturang okasyon! Habang nandun na rin siya, tinanong namin si Edu tungkol sa napapabalitang pagtakbo ng kanyang ex-wife na si Vilma Santos para sa pagka-Vice President. Hindi ito kinumpirma ni Edu pero sinabi nito na “As you can see naman, we are a family who take our roles as public servants very, very seriously. Whatever it is that she embarks on, I wish her all the best!” pahayag ni Chariman.
Tinanong din namin si Edu kung may balak pa rin ba siyang tumakbo sa pulitika, at biro lang ang nakuha namin. Tungkol naman sa anak niyang si Luis, may balak pa din ba itong tumakbo? “I dont know if you know it, pero nababalita din yung mga ginagawa ng anak ko sa kanyang kapwa. You know, you dont have to be in public office to be a public servant. And my son is quite famous also for his generosity.” paliwanag ni chairman.
Nakibalita din kami sa napapabalitang cameo appearance daw niya sa ginagawang pelikula ngayon ni Vilma kasama ang anak nilang si Luis at John Lloyd Cruz. Bali-balita kasing hindi na raw matutuloy ang kanyang pag-gue-guest sa pelikula, na siya namang pinabulaanan nito. Ang kumakalat daw na balita ay gawa-gawa lamang ng kanyang mga detractors sa pulitika at tuloy na tuloy daw ito. “At the end of the movie, ako yung huling frame, yan ang pinangako ko kay Vi!” sagot ni chairman.
Maingay na ngayon pa lang ang controversial kissing scene nila Luis at John Lloyd na kinunan pa sa New York nang mag-shooting sila doon. Ano ba ang masasabi ni Edu tungkol dito? May mga binigay ba siyang mga tips o reminders sa kanyang anak? “I’m very excited, para maiba naman! Ang tagal-tagal na akong nanunuod ng mga pelikula, nakakasawa na yung mga kissing scenes ng mga male and female. Yung mga love team-love team na yan, wala namang kuwenta yang mga yan. Bilang pagtatapos nang aming pag-uusap, sinabi ni Chairman Edu na ang pelikulang ito ni Luis ang siyang magbibigay ng tatak sa kanya sa industriya ngayon. Maaaring naaaliw sa kanya ang publiko dahil sa kanyang sense of humor, pero ang pelikulang ito raw ang magpapakita ng kanyang seryosong side sa larangan ng pag-arte.

Southwest Airlines is giving all of us a gift this summer. Fares as low as $30 – $90 dollars – Round Trip (depending on distance). They claim that this is the biggest sale they’ve had in the company’s history.
To avail of this special, Travelers must book their flights by midnight (12:00 a.m.) tonight, July 8th 2009.
American Airlines was quick to follow suit by offering $200.00 RT ticket to anywhere in the US (plus taxes and fees). These types of promotions advertised by airlines including AirTran Airways and Frontier Airlines are an early start in the industry’s efforts to fill their capacity when travel begins to slow after Labor Day.
According to the News:
Southwest structured its sale based on the distance flown – one-way fares of $30 for trips of up to 400 miles, $60 for 400 to 750 miles and $90 for more than 750 miles. That offers a significant discount from the usual nonsale tickets sold several weeks in advance.
From Dallas Love Field, for example, a ticket to such nearby cities as Oklahoma City, Austin, San Antonio and Houston would cost $30 one-way, compared with its usual deepest discount of $49 each way or $130 for a last-minute purchase.
In the second group with $60 fares were such cities as Nashville, Tenn.; Kansas City, Mo.; St. Louis; and Albuquerque, N.M. In the third group with $90 fares are the more distant cities, including Chicago and those along the East and West Coasts.
A Dallas-Boston round-trip ticket on Southwest, for example, would cost at least $359 before Sept. 9, but $209 including taxes and fees on Sept. 9 and afterward.
“For those who have been waiting for the cheapest fare sale of the year, I can’t think of anything better,” said Tom Parsons of BestFares.com.

Does KC Concepcion feel pressured about making ‘Lovers in Paris’ a big hit?

After joining her mother Sharon Cuneta in the latter’s Mega Concert tour in the US, KC Concepcion is back to work on Lovers in Paris, her first teleserye which is scheduled to air in August on ABS-CBN. KC told ABS-CBN.com that taping for Lovers in Paris has been a great learning experience for her. “Parang against all odds ang situation naming lahat. This is my first teleserye pero lahat ng mga kasama ko, both actors and the production team, ang dami na nilang experiences sa paggawa teleserye. Sobrang ko silang tinitingala. I believe I’m learning from the best. Lahat ng Kapamilya stars na gumagawa ng teleserye e magagaling. They really show it. Humahanga ako sa kanila.”
Lovers in Paris is an adaptation of the popular Koreanovela of the same name. ABS-CBN has produced several top-rating teleserye adaptations like Kim Chiu’s My Girl, Bea Alonzo’s I Love Betty La Fea, and Angel Locsin’s Only You. For her part, KC admitted that she feels pressured to continue that winning streak. “We’re hoping for the best. Syempre ‘yung Only You ang lakas sa ratings. ‘Yung Betty La Fea successful din. Napag-uusapan na rin ‘yung bagong shows na makakatapat namin sa kabilang network. We’re all doing the best we can.”
However, KC clarified with ABS-CBN.com that she is not competing to surpass the success that Kim, Bea, and Angel have achieved with their respective teleseryes. “Kaming mga artista, we’re not here to compete naman with each other. Ang networks lang talaga ang nagko-compete. As artists we only do our best. We love the character na ginagampanan namin.”
The daughter of the Megastar promised the legions of ABS-CBN Primetime Bida followers that they will see a very different KC when Lovers in Paris debuts on TV. “Mahirap din ‘yung character ko kasi sobrang iba siya sa kung ano ‘yung nakikita sa akin ng mga tao. Madalas akong makita na nakabihis nang maganda, sa mga events at pictorials. Pero through my character in Lovers in Paris makikita niyo how I will try to reach out to a much broader audience. Iba ‘yung histura ko, galaw, mga pagdadaanan, lahat.”
The 24-year-old beauty added that she chose to make her own version of the character Vivian compared to that of the original Koreanovela. “Nung una pinapanood ko ‘yung Lovers in Paris pero naisip ko what if hindi ko na lang panoorin and gumawa ako ng sarili kong Vivian. Makikita niyo talaga na ibang-iba ako. Maingay, loka loka, makulit. Character talaga siya. Mestiza siyang Pilipina pero naging simple lang ang buhay. Hindi naging artista o beauty queen kaya maraming makaka-relate.”

Angelica and Derek, chosen as one of YES! magazine’s most beautiful couples

Michael Jackson Memorial Fit For A King – A Touching Memorial
I don’t know if any of you had the chance to watch the memorial LIVE on TV, Online or whatever – if not, I encourage you to. I watched the Replay last night and I was holding back tears. It was a very touching memorial, touching on the King of Pop’s life and legacy.
Brooke Shields got me going as she held back her own tears during her speech and then when Usher took the stage and sang the song “Gone Too Soon” – I lost it most specially when Michael’s daughter Paris spoke her few words. It was a sincere memorial devoid of hoopla and frenzy.
I thought the City of Los Angeles did an amazing job in supporting the event. From watching the event, I didn’t notice any unruly fan or commotion. It was really a great memorial.

Controversial Katrina Halili gives exclusive tell-all to Cosmopolitan this July

The women’s rights movement has found an unlikely spokesperson in Katrina Halili. But since the explosion of her sex video scandal with Dr. Hayden Kho, the actress has been crucified by the once-adoring public.
“‘Yung mga tingin sa ‘kin parang wala nang respeto,” she laments to Cosmopolitan magazine in an exclusive tell-all interview this July. “Hindi naman ako nakapatay para sobra-sobra pang karma ang abutin ko.”
Katrina’s tear-streaked face has become a familiar sight at Senate hearings and other legal proceedings in her fight for justice. Rather than hide in shame, Katrina chooses to face the issue head-on.
“Para hindi na maulit sa ibang babae, nag-decide akong lumaban,” she tells Cosmo, and advises Cosmo girls to learn from her experience. “Dapat kung victim sila, lumaban sila and huwag mahiya kasi wala ka namang ginawa ‘dun na masama eh.”
As she continues to fight for women who have been caught in similar situations, Katrina is now trying to move on. “Hindi ko iniisip bakit nangyari ‘yun, bakit ganoon? Ngayon, tine-take ko ang mga natutunan ko sa mga bagay na ‘yun. Hindi na ako magtitiwala nang basta-basta.”
Katrina may be a controversial choice for a cover girl, but Cosmopolitan editor-in-chief Zo Aguila points out, “Our readers, just like Katrina, face a lot of drama in their lives. While their cases are not as high profile, the pain brought on by their individual scandals is just as grave.”
Aguila hopes Katrina’s tell-all interview will inspire readers to face their own problems. “We want them to know that they can live through their personal hurdles—yes, no matter how damaging they may be. All it takes is the courage of a fearless spirit to rise after a fall,” she says.

Rayver Cruz denies using Sarah Geronimo to cover up his “relationship” with Melissa Ricks

Kung ang pagbabasehan ay ang patuloy na pagkalat ng mga issues na nagsasabing may itinatagong relasyon sina Rayver Cruz at Melissa Ricks, marami ang naniniwala na mukhang may katotohanan ang nasabing balita dahil usap-usapan na ito noon pa mang nakaraang taon.
Pero sa panayam kay Rayver last Sunday, July 4, sa ASAP ’09, mabilis niyang itinanggi na may namamagitan sa kanilang higit pa sa magkaibigan.
“Ang totoo sa amin ni Melissa, magkaibigan lang talaga kami,” sabi ni Rayver. “Nagugulat din ako sa mga lumalabas na balita na nililigawan ko raw siya, pumupunta ako sa house niya, na nanood daw kami ng sine sa Alabang Town Center… Hindi totoo ang lahat ng ‘yan.
“Ang kasama kong lumabas sa ATC ay sina Kim [Chiu] and Gerald [Anderson]. Never kong nakasama si Mel sa kahit na anong lakaran. Nagkakasama lang kami sa mga parties, pag birthday ng mga executives. Pero yung mga date, hindi talaga.
“Dun sa pumupunta raw ako sa bahay niya at naipakilala na raw niya ako sa parents niya, siguro papuntahin mo ako ngayon dun, hindi ako makakapunta dahil hindi ko alam kung saan siya nakatira. Nakita ko na ang mommy niya dito sa ASAP, nagkikita lang kami ni Mel every Sunday pag ASAP, ‘saka pag may rehearsals kami sa ABS,” paliwanag niya.
Pero hindi naman itinatanggi ni Rayver na bukas ang komunikasyon nila ni Melissa.
“Oo naman, nagte-text ako kay Mel. Pero hindi lang sa kanya, pati kina Matt [Evans], Kim, Gerald…kasi sila ang mga close ko talaga. Nagte-text ako sa kanya, pero hindi naman yung text na pumuporma o nanliligaw,” paglilinaw ng binata.
Bukas ba siya sa posibilidad na maaaring sa ending ay sila pala talaga ni Melissa?
“Mahirap kasing magsalita ng tapos,” sagot niya. “Basta tingnan na lang natin kung ano ang mangyayari. Hindi naman sa hindi ko type si Mel, magkaibigan lang talaga kasi kami. Wala yung intention na manligaw talaga, na pormahan siya para maging girlfriend. Gusto ko yung close lang talaga kami nila Matt, nila Kim and Gerald.”
May lumabas ding balita na alam daw ni Jake Cuenca ang relasyon nina Rayver at Melissa. Gimik lang din daw ang sinabi noon ni Jake na type niya ang young actress.
Ano ang reaksiyon dito ni Rayver?
“In-interview kami ni Jake nung papunta kami sa States. After the interview, sabi ko nga sa kanya, ‘Bro, bakit ganun? Yun agad ang mga tanong sa atin?’ Nagtawanan lang kaming dalawa. Dun sa tanong kung nagseselos daw ba ako, hindi. Kung nililigawan man ni Jake si Mel, natutuwa ako sa kanila,” sabi ni Rayver.
SARAH’S FANS. Negatibo ang naging reaksiyon ng fans ni Sarah Geronimo sa sinasabing “tagong relasyon” nina Rayver at Melissa dahil nagagamit daw ang Pop Princess. Lately kasi ay inili-link din si Rayver kay Sarah, lalo’t nagkasama sila sa blockbuster hit na You Changed My Life.
Umabot pa nga raw sa punto na nagpadala na ng e-mails ang fans ni Sarah na huwag sanang gamitin nina Rayver at Melissa ang kanilang idolo para lang pagtakpan ang tungkol sa totoong relasyon nila. Lalo tuloy itong nagpatibay sa hinala ng iba na kung anumang malalim na rason ay mukhang may pagkakaintindihan na nga sina Rayver at Melissa.
Dito ay humingi ng tawad ang aktor sa nangyari.
“Unang-una, humihingi ako ng sorry sa mga lumalabas na ganung balita. Pero wala akong masamang intention kay Sarah. Dun sa isyu na pinagtatakpan, wala naman akong pinagtatakpan dahil hind talaga kami ni Mel. Hindi ko sila masisisi kung ganun ang maging opinion nila kasi alam naman natin na Sarah Geronimo ‘yan. Sarah is Sarah.
“Kahit paaano, na-expect ko na rin na may lalabas na ganyan kasi Sarah Geronimo ‘yan. Pero gaya ng sinabi ko, I don’t have any bad intention to Sarah. Natuwa lang ako na naging close kami, naging magkaibigan kami. Minsan nangungumusta ako, tine-text ko siya para mangumusta,” lahad ni Rayver.
Sa nakaraang interview ni Sarah ay nabanggit nito na natatawa at nagugulat siya kay Rayver dahil dedma lang sila ‘pag nagkikita sa ASAP, pero close na close naman sila pag magka-usap sa telepono.

AGB Mega Manila TV Ratings (July 3-6): Rosalinda does well, but falls short of expectations
Many have high expectations for the latest primetime series of GMA-7, the local adaptation of the hit Mexicanovela Rosalinda. When the original Mexicanovela series was aired on ABS-CBN, it became one of the highest-rated shows ever.
Now, in the local version of Rosalinda, the new tandem of Carla Abellana and Geoff Eigenmann take on the roles of the title character and Fernando Jose, played originally by Thalia and Fernando Carrillo.
Rosalinda premiered on Philippine television last night, July 6, with a modest 26.3 percent to rank sixth in the primetime race. This output is relatively lower compared to the pilot episodes of the Kapuso network’s high-profile primetime shows; like Mulawin (33 percent), Encantadia (40 percent), Darna (47.1 percent), Captain Barbell (37.5 percent), Marimar (36.6 percent), and Dyesebel (44.9 percent).
Rosalinda‘s premiere episode, which ran for almost an hour, was pitted against ABS-CBN’s Only You and Tayong Dalawa. Both Kapamilya programs rated higher than the new Kapuso show. But hopes are still high for Rosalinda to improve its rating as the show progresses.
GMA-7 regained the top spot in the primetime race, thanks to 24 Oras, which generated a 32.3 percent rating. ABS-CBN’s Tayong Dalawa was a close second with 31.7 percent.
These were followed by Zorro (31.1 percent), May Bukas Pa (29.4 percent), and Only You (27.5 percent) to complete the Top 5.
The rest of the Top 10 was taken by the following shows: All My Life (23.5 percent), TV Patrol World (23.4 percent), Adik Sa ‘Yo (23 percent), and Boys Over Flowers (21.9 percent).
Eat Bulaga! once again topped the daytime race with 24.6 percent, followed by GMA-7 afternoon soaps Kung Aagawin Mo ang Lahat Sa Akin (20 percent), Ngayon at Kailanman (18.5 percent), and Daisy Siete (17 percent).
Wowowee and Hole In The Wall tied for fifth place with an identical 14.2 percent rating.
Rosalinda replaced the timeslot of Totoy Bato, which ended last Friday, July 3. The last episode of the Robin Padilla action series topped the primetime race with 30.4 percent, followed by Tayong Dalawa (29 percent), Adik Sa ‘Yo (28.3 percent), Zorro (28 percent), and May Bukas Pa (27.7 percent).
Eat Bulaga! was the runaway winner in the daytime race with 28.3 percent. Second-placer Kung Aagawin Mo ang Lahat Sa Akin only managed to get 20.8 percent.
Saturday (July 4) viewing was ruled by Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho (primetime) and Eat Bulaga! (daytime).
TV5′s Talentadong Pinoy moved from fourth last week to third this week after generating a rating of 24.6 percent, behind Imbestigador‘s 25.8 percent.
Another TV5 show, Midnight DJ, once again made it to the Top 10.
Mel & Joey and SOP again topped the primetime and daytime races last Sunday, July 5.

TNS National TV Ratings (July 3-6): Only You and Tayong Dalawa prevail over Rosalinda
ABS-CBN shows remained unshaken by the entry of GMA-7′s newest teleserye, Rosalinda, in the primetime race last night, July 6.
Rosalinda, which stars the new tandem of Carla Abellana and Geoff Eigenmann, posted a rating of 23.1 percent on its debut to place seventh in the primetime race. This is based on the latest overnight ratings of Taylor Nelson Sofres (TNS) among national households.
Rosalinda, which ran for almost an hour during its premiere episode went up against ABS-CBN’s Only You and Tayong Dalawa, which came in at No. 3 and No. 4, respectively, by virtue of their 34.7 percent and 33.5 percent ratings.
May Bukas Pa was the overall leader with 39.5 percent, followed by TV Patrol World with 35.2 percent.
The other slots were occupied by the following programs: Boys Over Flowers (No. 5), Zorro (No. 6), 24 Oras (No. 8), Adik Sa ‘Yo (No. 9), and The Wedding (No. 10).
ABS-CBN also dominated the daytime race with Kambal Sa Uma topping the list with 25.5 percent, followed by fellow Kapamilya shows Wowowee (25 percent), Precious Hearts Romances Presents Bud Brothers (20.1 percent), and newcomer Maria de Jesus: Ang Anghel Sa Lansangan (17.3 percent), and GMA-7′s Eat Bulaga! (16.8 percent) to complete the Top 5.
May Bukas Pa also topped the primetime race last Friday, July 3, while Wowowee was the most-watched daytime program.
Totoy Bato ended its run last Friday at No. 6 with 24.2 percent.
Maalaala Mo Kaya and Wowowee came on top last Saturday, July 4; Rated K and ASAP ’09 were the top-raters last Sunday, July 5.

More Hayden Kho sex videos still being uploaded even if the issue has reached the Senate and the court
Nasa Senado at korte na ang kontrobersiya ng sex videos ni Dr. Hayden Kho. Inakala ng marami na magtatapos na rin ang pagpapalabas ng iba pang videos pagkatapos magkakasabay na na-upload ang mga videos na kasangkot si Katrina Halili, ang bagong artista ng ABS-CBN na si Maricar Reyes, at isang Brazilian model.
Hindi ganito ang nangyari.
Nagkaroon ng pangalawang Maricar-Hayden video at maraming pangalan pa ang lumabas na isa-isang na-deny.
Nang mag-file na ng kaso si Katrina laban sa grupo ng Belo Medical Clinic, lumabas ang pangatlong video nina Maricar at Hayden kung saan parang nakikipag-usap na sila sa camera ng video. Mas malinaw na ito at mas mahaba.
Sa balitang nagkahulihan na raw ng mga unang nag-upload ng mga videos, dalawa pa ang bagong labas ngayon.

Dumating sa set ng Dear Friend si Princess Violago nang patapos na ang interview sa main cast para sa bagong episode na “Kay Tagal Kang Hinintay” na sina Sunshine Dizon, Polo Ravales, at Chynna Ortaleza. Gaganap bilang bunsong kapatid ni Polo si Princess sa naturang drama anthology ng GMA-7.
Biniro agad ng entertainment press si Princess na siya ang pantapat ng GMA-7 kay Maricar Reyes, na siyang bida sa katapat nitong programa sa ABS-CBN na Your Song Presents Gaano Kita Kamahal, dahil may tsismis din kasing may video siya kasama si Dr. Hayden Kho. Bumulanghit ng tawa ang tunay na prinsesa ng mga Violago sa pag-amin na narinig na rin daw niya ito.
“Oo nga, sabi sa akin ng family ko, may video rin daw ako, kaya nag-search ako agad sa Internet. Isang beses lang naman lumabas ang pangalan ko, ibang Princess pala yun—yung Princess Velasco,” paglilinaw ni Princess.
Isa si Princess na unang pinangalanang may sex video raw kasama ni Hayden dahil ang unang naging balita, mga co-stars ng cosmetic surgeon sa dalawa niyang GMA-7 shows na Marimar at Ako Si Kim Samsoon ang “nakaulayawan” niya sa video.
“Ang tanda na niya, ha!” sigaw ni Princess, sabay tawa. “Hindi ako mahilig sa matanda!”
Sinabi naman sa kanya na 29 lang si Hayden at si Princess ay 21 na.
“Matanda pa rin siya sa akin!” sabay tawa na naman ni Princess. “Kuya ko lang siya, wala nga siyang number ko. Gusto ko ka-age ko lang.”
Inamin ni Princess na may special someone siya ngayon, ka-age niya at may lahi.
“Ayoko pang sabihin kung sino, hindi naman showbiz. Baka hindi matuloy, sayang, gusto ko pa naman siya. Sabi nila huwag munang sabihin baka hindi matuloy,” kinikilig na kuwento niya.
