A collector pays $17,500 dollars for a video game
JJ Hendricks, a video game collector just paid an insane $17,500 for an NES game from 1990.
It is said that there were only 26 of these were produced for a Nintendo-sponsored gaming contest. It’s a gold-colored, super-rare according to JJ. He even calls it the “Holy Grail” for video game collectors.
The game only lasts approximately 6 minutes and 21 seconds. It contains the three popular Nintendo games namely Super Mario Bros., Rad Racer and TETRIS. The player will have to perform ultra-efficiently and scores are tallied after the time has expired.
The game was originally listed on eBay for $25,000. JJ Hendricks actually got it for cheap. Ha!

At 1.6 million registrants to obtain the most wanted ticket in the world where only 8750 lucky ones will get a pair of tickets bringing the total to 17,500 fans who will get to participate in the star-studded (Mariah Carey, Usher and Stevie Wonder reportedly attending and performing) memorial service for Michael Jackson. The gathering is scheduled for 8 a.m. (11 a.m. ET) — two hours before the service at the Staples Center arena.
Some individuals who obtained tickets can’t even afford to fly to Los Angeles. One man interviewed at NBC’s Today show was selling his on eBay for $15,000 dollars since both he and his wife lost their jobs recently.
Authorities are asking fans to stay home and watch the service via CNN/FACEBOOK LIVE EVENT STREAM. One has to register though. Over 50,000 people have already registered. Any fan who does not have valid tickets will not be allowed inside a certain perimeter from Staples Center. They need to have wrist band just to get into the “zone” where ticket holders may gather with media people.
One person who obtained tickets is selling hers on eBay for $100,000.00 US dollars. Can you even believe that? Believe it.. see screenshot below:

Boy: Vicki, maraming salamat sa pagkakataon. Kami’y nakikiramay sa pagpanaw ng iyong ama.
Vicki: He had a very good life. I was able to visit him last Friday, he was still so alive and happy. And I think we had a very good closure.
Boy: Let’s talk about all these things that have been happening lately. Binabasag mo ang iyong katahimikan for the first time. Let’s go back to December 9. Is it true that Princess [Velasco, girlfriend of Bistek del Rosario] went to your house to confess that she had an illicit affair with Hayden?
Vicki: Yes, Princess came. Actually, what happened was, when I was in Las Vegas, we were watching Manny Pacquiao [fight against Oscar dela Hoya], kami ni Hayden, when Princess called me. And then she said, ‘Doktora, I have to resign immediately [from Belo clinic].’ So, the moment I arrived in Manila, I immediately called her up and asked her to come to the house.
Boy: And this was December 9…
Vicki: This was December 9. So, she came to the house and she said, ‘I have a confession to do. I’ve been having an affair with Hayden.’ And then she goes, ‘I’m not the only girl. There are more girls, if you want to know more about it.’
Boy: Ano ang first reaction mo nung sinabing she had an illicit affair with Hayden?
Vicki: Shocked. And I felt betrayed, both by them. Nagalit ako kay Princess, pero mas galit siguro ako kay Hayden.
Boy: So, from December 9 to December 12, nasaan yung mga boxes?
Vicki: Nandun lang sa kuwarto. Walang gumalaw, nakatago lang doon.
Boy: And he [Hayden] was in the hospital.
Vicki: I was worried about Hayden. I was confused. I was crying.
Boy: How about the videotape?
Vicki: Well, it wasn’t there. So, okay, I wanted to open it. I asked one of my IT people to come in to open. And we were able to open a couple of computers. Because it was the hard drive that we couldn’t open. And then she said, ‘You can’t open that.’ ‘Why?’ ‘Because it’s password protected.’ And then Erik (Chua) called me the next day. He was telling me, ‘Are you okay? Are you fine? Were you able to open the computers? Did you check if you have your videos there?’ Sabi ko, ‘Erik, wala, e. Just this one thing, this hard drive, but it’s password protected, and we can’t open it.’ Then he said, ‘Don’t worry, I know somebody who can open anything.’ So, Erik arrived at about 5:25 in the afternoon. Then the other guy arrived at 6:05. I had a dinner date at night. So, from 5:25 to 7:25, two hours na po ito. And then he [Erik] told me, ‘Sige, leave us na. You go to your dinner na. Kami na lang.’ And then I said, ‘Can I trust you?’
Boy: Did you say that?
Vicki: Yeah, I did. And he said, ‘Vicki naman…’ And I said, ‘Okay, swear on your mother’s life.’ Because to me and, you know, how sacred it is to you and to me. ‘Swear in your mother’s life na Erik pag nakita mo yung video ko i-delete mo lang. Then okay na tayo.’ At the back of my mind, siguro hindi na nila mabukas ito. Ang tagal-tagal na namin, hindi naman nila mabukas. Then, tapos na kaming mag-dinner. As we were leaving the restaurant, takbo naman itong Erik. ‘O, eto regalo ko sa iyo.’ And I said, ano ito? Me? And he said, ‘No, it’s not. It’s the others.’ And hindi ko naman na-get masyado yun. So, okay, thank you. Nilagay ko sa bag ko. Pero I wasn’t… Since I was only expecting mine, I really didn’t know what that meant.
Boy: Okay, so you went home…
Vicki: I went home. And the next day, I watched the video and had the shock of my life. My God, I was just… You know in the beginning, it’s like dancing lang. That was bad enough. And then it goes on to other things na. Parang hindi ko na… You know the feeling is talagang shocked. Wala, so the DVD, brineak ko. And since Erik left the hard drive in the computer room, tinapon ko, hinagis ko sa semento, tinapon-tapon ko.
Boy: Vicki, kung hindi ikaw, kung hindi si Erik, kung hindi si Bistek, kung hindi si Princess, who did?
Vicki: I can’t believe any of them did it. I mean, you know, I’m a trusting person. But I’m a person who trusts people and, unfortunately, a lot of people break my trust, they break my heart. But you must remember, naiwan sila ng one and a half hours sa bahay ko, di ba? Ang iniisip ko lang, kung ilalagay mo yung… kung lalaki ka, marami kang barkada, nakita mo na yung mga video na maraming artista, na maraming kilalang tao. Hindi naman ako makapaniwala na hindi sila gumawa ng kopya. Yun lang ang akin.
Boy: Vicki, Katrina and company want your license revoked. What do you want from Katrina?
Vicki: I was shocked when she asked for that. Number two, she was saying malpractice. Malpractice means if somebody was injured or there was a bad result. So, I met with her in Serendra again, the famous Serendra, I met with her at Chelsea’s. And I asked her, Katrina were you having an affair with Hayden? And she looks at me and she goes, ‘Doktora, no! Never!’ And then next,Okay, let me ask you again? I just want to hear it from your mouth.’ So, yun she said, ‘Oo, doktora, sorry, sorry.’ Ganun lang. ‘Parang ano lang kasi ako, you know, na-tempt or whatever. I’m only human.’ Yung mga ganung style.
Boy: Humingi ng tawad?
Vicki: Humingi naman. Humingi naman ng tawad. But you know, this is why I’m really upset about what’s happening now. ‘Coz when she made me hingi ng tawad and she admitted that she had an affair with Hayden, I forgave her.
Boy: Are there moments, when you’re alone when you feel guilty to your children because they’ve been dragged?
Vicki: Yes, that’s my biggest regret. My other regret was my mom who is 80 years old.
Boy: What does she know?
Vicki: She knows everything.
Boy: She does… pero paano mo sinasabi?
Vicki: She was asking me, ‘Vicki, did you have a sex video with Hayden?’ I want to die.
Boy: Tinanong ng mommy kung meron kang sex video with Hayden?
Vicki: Oo. I said, ‘Mommy, I did. Pero I think sana na-delete na.’
Boy: Kina Katrina, Princess, Erik, Bistek, ano ang gusto mong sabihin sa kanila?
Vicki: We should all pray for the truth to come out. I don’t hate you at all. Let’s all pray together that the truth will come out. And that we will be all be over with this. And get on with our lives and that we will be able to move on.
Boy: Despite the denials, marami pa rin ang nagsasabi na you’re together with Hayden. What is the truth?
Vicki: We’re not together. But if you’re asking me if I’m in love with him? Am I going to be with him? Do I see ourseleves spending the rest of our lives together and going to watch the sunset and we will have a wonderful relationship?
Boy: Will you?
Vicki: No!
Boy: Let’s talk about Cristalle and Quark. Puso sa puso, ano ang nais mong sabihin sa mga anak mo?
Vicki: To Cristalle and Quark, I really love you two. I’m so proud of the kind of human beings you have become. Thank you so much for supporting me and loving me, and defending me. Kahit na nakakahiya na the mother should defend her children. But you’re doing such a great job in defending your mother.
Boy: To your parents?
Vicki: I hope I’m not a disappointment to you. You know, I know they are very proud of me. Pero sana naman you’re still proud of me, Mommy. And Daddy, wherever you are, because I’m a good daughter. I know I’m a good daughter. I just don’t know why I get myself into these controversies and you know, parang she worries about me all the time, and it’s not good.
Boy: And the mirror is still there, what do you want to tell to Vicki Belo?
Vicki: I think you’re a good person. You just made stupid mistakes sometimes. But you know, you’re right, I’m a work in progress. And I would learn from this and someday, I will be a better person. And I will be able to help more people.

(Points, Opinions and Violent Reactions)” segment ng The Buzz, na okay na talaga sila ni Vicki at prior sa interview na iyon ay nakatanggap na si Boy ng text messages galing kay Vicki. Ayon pa kay Boy, parati naman daw niyang sinasabi na they had more good years than not-so- good years. Hindi rin daw siya nagkakarga ng sama ng loob.
May mga nagte-text at nagtatanong nga raw kay Boy what happened with the interview with Vicki at ito ang naging sagot ni Boy: “Alam n’yo po mga kaibigan, this is a big world for all of us. You know, I said I continue to endorse Dr. Manny Calayan and Dr. Pie Calayan. This has nothing to do with it. This is an assigment, this is a job, this is an interview. Vicki is, was a friend.”
Mother Lily says Angel Locsin should learn “word of honor” from Sharon Cuneta

“Angel Locsin should learn from Sharon Cuneta how to honor her commitments.”
This was the statement of Lily Monteverde, matriarch of Regal Films, in an email sent earlier today, June 6. The film producer said this is a reaction to Angel’s alleged refusal to co-star with Sharon Cuneta in the upcoming Regal movie, Mano Po 6, an entry in the 2009 Metro Manila Film Festival.
Sharon was quoted saying that if given a choice, she would want Angel to be part of the movie.
In a recent interview, Angel said she can’t do the Sharon Cuneta starrer because she is currently signed with ABS-CBN’s Star Cinema.
“Exclusive po ako sa Star Cinema, e. Kaya medyo mahirap po. Kaya kahit gustung-gusto kong makatrabaho ang ating Megastar… Meron na rin po kasi akong gagawing dalawang movies sa Star Cinema,” the actress said.
Angel, who was originally an exclusive GMA-7 contract star, still had a commitment with Regal to do three movies, according to Mother Lily. A sudden decision to move to ABS-CBN in July 2007, however, disregarded the filming contract, thereby severing the ties between the actress and the Regal matriarch.
Mano Po 6 would have been Angel’s seventh movie with the production company, had she taken the role. Previous films include three Mano Po films, Kuya, Singles, and Sigaw.
In the email, Mother Lily said she was hurt when Angel refused to do the role.
“She was one of my babies once,” Mother Lily said. “As her mother, I got hurt because she had a commitment with me to do three more movies. But still I let go of this issue because I want her to grow.”
The film producer added that she does not want to “rock the boat” because she is friends with the ABS-CBN bosses—Geny and Gaby Lopez, Charo Santos, and Cory Vidanes. “Malalim ang pinagsamahan,” she said.
Her message to Angel, however, was to emulate how the Megastar honors her commitments.
“Sharon Cuneta has become a Megastar not only because she is a talented singer-actress, but because she is loyal and knows how to honor a commitment… marunong tumanaw ng utang na loob,” Mother Lily explained.
Although Sharon originally started as the prized talent of Viva Films in the 1980s, Mother Lily had a long-standing offer to do a movie with her. Mano Po 6 will be the first Regal full-length movie starring the award-winning actress. The Megastar has a cameo role in OMG! (Oh, My Girl!), starring her close friends Judy Ann Santos and Ogie Alcasid.
HOW TO SUCCEED. Roselle Monteverde, the daughter of Mother Lily, has more to say on the issue.
In a telephone interview with PEP this afternoon, Roselle said she does not know how Angel got the information that Regal is interested in doing a movie with her again.
“Mother Lily asked Malou Santos [ABS-CBN executive]. Hindi ko alam kung paano nakarating sa kanya [Angel]. ‘Yan ang dapat n’yong malaman,” the producer told PEP.
Roselle also wants to know why Angel is talking about her contract with Regal again.
“She is using us again on her press releases. Bakit niya kami bini-bring up sa issue? Hindi na kami naghahabol [sa kanya]. Stars come and go,” she said.
Roselle also does not know whether they want to do another movie with Angel, even after she finishes her exclusive contract with Star Cinema. She said the actress should just follow Mother Lily’s advice because she wouldn’t succeed in showbiz if she doesn’t.
“The kind of artists who succeed are intelligent. Hindi lang oo nang oo sa mga katabi, kahit mali sunod lang nang sunod. Parang sponge,” Roselle said bitingly, but didn’t elaborate.

Matitindi ang naging pahayag ng legendary singer-composer na si Freddie Aguilar ukol sa ilang kaganapan sa music scene, partikular ang hinggil sa piracy sa music industry, pati ang adhikain niyang pagpapalit ng ilang linya sa Lupang Hinirang, at ang pagiging prominente ngayon ng ilang Pinoy talents sa States tulad nina Charice Pempengco at Arnel Pineda ng Journey.
“Hindi maganda ang masasabi ko, e, gusto n’yo sabihin ko?” tila parang pasintabi niya na may halong paghahamon nang tanungin si Freddie tungkol kina Charice at Arnel noong July 3 sa grand opening ng kanyang Ka Freddie’s Music Bar and Restaurant sa Adriatico, Manila.
“E, pinatototohanan lang ang sinabi ni Mariah Carey na tayong mga Filipino ay mga unggoy. Kasi, wala tayong sarili, gaya-gaya lang tayo. Nasa Amerika ka na, binigyan ka na ng pagkakataon na kumanta sa Oprah, bakit kumanta ka pa ng kanta ni Celine Dion? Sinabi ni Mariah na mga unggoy ang Filipino, gaya-gaya lang kayo, e, di napatunayan nga, totoo nga.
“Kasi, di ba, what monkeys see, monkeys do. Dapat ang kinanta niya, bakit hindi ‘Dahil Sa Iyo’ o kaya ay kahit ano, basta kantang Filipino? O kaya Visayan, Ilocano… lalo siyang sisikat sa buong mundo nun,” pahayag ni Freddie.
Pero hindi naman talaga napatunayan na sinabi ni Mariah na “monkey” ang Pinoy.
STAYING FILIPINO. Ano kaya ang dapat gawin nina Charice at iba pang Filipino international artists para masabing proud siya sa kanilang ginagawa?
“Kasi, sasabihin ko na naman, katulad ng ginawa ko, e, puro na lang ako,” may himig ng pagkabantulot na paliwanag niya.
“Kasi, inalok ako ng mga Kano noon [1980], noong kasikatan ng Anak,” pagpapatuloy ni Freddie. “Inalok nila akong doon na tumira sa Amerika, sampung milyong dolyar, guaranteed na income ko in ten years. Sa madaling salita, one million dollars a year, guaranteed, ilalagay sa akin pagkapirmang-pagkapirma ko ng kontrata. Ang kapalit, kaluluwa ko bilang isang Filipino.
“Hindi ko alam na ‘yon ang kapalit dati. Nag-recording ako sa Hollywood. Ang mga musikero ko ay puro puti, ako lang ang Filipino doon. May back-up singer akong tatlo, si Teri DeSario [ kumanta ng 'Fallin'] ang isa sa back-up singer ko, si Teri. Sumikat siya sa buong mundo, back-up singer ko lang ‘yon kung tinanggap ko yung kontrata. Hindi ko muna tinanggap, nag-recording muna ako ng sample ng international album sa Hollywood. Maganda, Ingles. Marunong din akong kumanta ng Ingles.
“E, di ang ganda, inuwi ko muna ‘yong produktong album sa Pilipinas. Pero hindi ako pumipirma, sabi ko ay tingnan muna natin. Pero ang pagkanta ko ng English ay may kapalit ‘yon, papayag akong gumawa ng Hollywood album, pero yung kantang ‘Anak’ at yung ‘Alaala ni Ama,’ huwag ninyong pakikialaman. Kung ano yung original recording nun, isasama ninyo, ‘ika ko doon sa international album na gagawin ko sa Hollywood. Puwede kang mag-demand, e, hindi ka nila didiktahan dahil kailangan ka nila, e, nagko-compromise.”
Patuloy niya, “Inuwi ko sa Pilipinas yung album, ang ganda, ipinarinig ko sa lahat ng mga kababayan natin na kaibigan ko, ipinagyabang ko. Sabi ko, ‘Heto na yung international album ko.’ Lahat ng nakarinig sinabi nila na, ‘Freddie, ayan na ‘yan, ayan na ang pinapangarap ng lahat ng Filipino na sumikat sa Amerika, ayan na ‘yan. Stateside na ang tunog mo, Freddie.’
“Ako naman, proud na proud ako, ‘Tama, international na ako talaga.’ Ganoon ang feeling ko. Pero ‘pag mag-isa na ako sa gabi at matutulog na ako, ang laki-laki ng question mark sa puso at sa utak ko. Naiisip ko kung tama ba ang ginawa ko, tama ba yun? Isang araw, wala akong inimbitang kaibigan, mag-isa lang ako at pinakinggan ko yung album na ginawa ko sa Amerika. Sabi ko, ‘Ay, hindi ko gagawin ito.’
“Alam mo kung bakit? Kasi, hindi na ako ‘yon, hindi na Filipino, Amerikano na yung nandoon. Kapag hindi sinabing ‘Freddie Aguilar from the Philippines,’ hindi mo ako mapapagkamalang Filipino. Pati yung tunog, Amerikano na talaga.
“Bumalik ako doon [U.S.], tinakot nila ako na, ‘Freddie, you will be forgotten. That’s it, that’s the end of your career, man. Nobody says no to this kind of offer.’ Sabi ko, ‘Are you kidding me? I did not say no, I said I cannot do it, because I want to be me.’ Sabi ko, ‘I’m giving you a choice,’ ika ko, ‘bring me to Nashville and I will make lampaso…’ Sabi ko, ilalampaso ko ang mga country singer ninyo sa Amerika, kaya kong lampasuhin ‘yan. “Anong sabi ko, hindi ko kaya, hindi ko sinabing ayaw ko. Sinong may ayaw ng sampung milyong dolyar, ano ako baliw? Gusto ko rin ‘yon, pero hindi naman kapalit ng puso ko. Hindi ko lang pinanghinayangan yung sampung milyong dolyar, talagang maluha-luha yung wallet ko. Pero ‘yong puso ko ay ayaw pumayag, e.
“Sabi nila ay malalaos na ako, pero natsambahan ulit natin sa ‘Magdalena’ at hindi naman pala totoo na malalaos na ako. Sumikat ulit ‘yong ‘Magdalena,’ sa buong mundo ulit. Kung na-promote ko lang iyang ‘Magdalena,’ baka tinalo pa ng ‘Magdalena’ ‘yang benta ng ‘Anak.’
“So bakit hindi ko pinromote? Iyan dapat ang susunod na tanong, di ba? Kasi pinatay si Ninoy Aquino. Sumikat ang ‘Magdalena’ sa buong mundo at imbes na mag-promote ako sa buong mundo, nandiyan ako sa rally, kumakanta ako ng bagong version ng ‘Bayan Ko,’ na later on, naging international ulit. So, mali pala ‘yong mga sinabi ng mga Kano na malalaos na ako, na makakalimutan na ako ng buong mundo. Dahil lalo akong minahal ng buong mundo, dahil nanindigan pa ako, hindi ko ibinenta yung soul ko at hindi ako naging unggoy. So, hindi ako unggoy na Filipino at maraming hindi unggoy na Filipino.
“So, sabi ko rin, si Gary Valenciano, hindi siya sisikat kung gagayahin niya lang si Michael Jackson. So, ‘ika ko, kung gusto niyang sumikat sa buong mundo, iyong energy niya, iyon ang ilagay niya sa plaka niya. Kasi, nakita n’yo naman si Gary, kahit nakaupo lang sa isang sulok ay may energy talaga yung tao.
“And isa pang masasabi ko, napatunayan natin na kaya pala nating gumawa ng kantang pang-universal, nandiyan yung Anak, e,” mahaba niyang kuwento.

KC Concepcion received a paperbag full of perfume from Piolo Pascual (Frederic Malle)
Rumor has been going around that KC has a “sex video” circulating on the Internet, but it was strongly denied by her mother, Sharon Cuneta, in a previous interview.
When asked to comment about this in an interview aired during the July 4 episode of Entertainment Live, KC firmly declared: “It’s the first and last time I’ll say anything about this issue. Pero kung anong sinabi ni Mom, yun yung totoo.”
How true is it that the Megastar already allowed KC to work with her dad Gabby Concepcion in a movie?
For the longest time, KC has been saying that she prefers to do a movie with her mom first. However, the young actress pointed out that the Megastar is quite busy with other commitments.
As for her movie with her Papa Gabby, she says, “We’re still looking at the timeline, we are trying to see if possible bang magkaroon ng project si Papa this year, o kung maghintay na lang next year.”
PIOLO’S FORMAL COURTSHIP. When KC was interviewed, she was beside her leading man in Lovers in Paris, Piolo Pascual. In a previous interview with PEP, the matinee idol also admitted that he has been courting KC for some time now.
“Sa mga pag-uusap naman namin, I really made it clear na good yung intentions ko, and it’s just that we don’t wanna make it public,” says Piolo.
How does Piolo court KC? Before answering, KC looked at Piolo and asked if she could share it with the public.
KC giggled as she narrated, “Sinulatan mo ko ng love letter [to Piolo]. Mahilig siyang magsulat ng love letter.”
She also revealed that Piolo bought her a paperbag of perfumes.
“Alam niya kasi wala na kong supply nung perfume ko, e, iisa lang yung perfume na gamit ko. Hindi mahanap kasi hindi ko sinasabi sa kanya kung ano yung name, at hindi naman niya kabisado yung bote kasi hindi ko naman pinapakita sa mga tao, and nahanap niya. Binilhan niya ako ng isang buong paperbag! Sabi ko, ‘Paano mo nalaman kung ano yung perfume ko?’ Wala, naamoy lang daw niya. Ewan ko kung totoo yun, pero yun yung press release niya,” KC said.
Waving her finger at Piolo, KC exclaimed, “Hoy! Nagulat talaga ako do’n, ha.”
When asked if she there’s a possibility of saying “yes” to Piolo, “E, nasa sa kanya yun,” said the actress, and then she hummed a tune that sounded like a lullaby.

ABC – Disney’s Entertainment Division have now started with the debut of “Grey’s Anatomy” on HULU, several months after it announced that it was partnering with HULU. ‘Ice Age’ sequel heats up worldwide box office
Reuters have reported, ” In a rare tie, reigning champ “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen” and the new cartoon “Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs” shared the top spot at the holiday weekend box office in North America.
According to studio estimates issued Sunday, the movies each sold about $42.5 million worth of tickets during the three-day U.S. Independence Day holiday weekend.”

ABS-CBN scores big in the weekend ratings
Kahit sa weekend ay patuloy ang pamamayagpag ng mga ABS-CBN programs. Ayon sa national TV ratings ng TNS Media Research para sa araw ng Saturday, July 4 ay pumalo sa 30.5% ang Maalaala Mo Kaya. Malapit nang masaksihan ng mga manonood ang mga bonggang episodes na naka-line up para sa 18th anniversary ng nasabing drama anthology.
Noong Sunday, July 5 naman ay pumalo sa 31% ang Rated K. Is the Piolo Pascual-KC Concepcion romance just a publicity stunt?
Sa gitna ng mga nasusulat na balita hinggil sa umano’y namumuong pagtitinginan nina Piolo Pascual at KC Concepcion, sinabi ni Piolo sa The Buzz kahapon na malalaman umano ang totoo pagkatapos ng kanilang proyekto, ang upcoming soap series na Lovers in Paris. “Because a lot of people are thinking that I’m just doing this for the show,” paliwanag ng aktor. Marami kasi ang nag-iisip na “promo” lamang ang namumuong magandang relasyon ng dalawa.
Gayunpaman, sinabi ni Piolo na mas maganda ang relasyon niya sa anak ni Sharon Cuneta dahil madalas silang magkasama. “Mas komportable kami ngayon (sa isa’t isa). Magkasama kami sa Paris (France) for a month and we’re taping almost everyday. Lagi naming nakikita ang isa’t isa, pero siyempre ang sukatan naman d’yan ‘yung pagkatapos ng soap opera.”
Bukod sa Lovers in Paris, abala rin si Piolo ngayon ng pagpo-promote ng kanyang indie movie na Manila na ipapalabas na sa Hulyo 25, na kanya ring ipinrodyus. Nagve-venture na rin kasi ang magaling na aktor bilang producer ng mga pelikula, as a matter of fact, siya ang producer ng launching movie ni Eugene Domingo na Kimmydora. “I wanna grow in this business, not just to limit myself in acting or singing,” ayon kay Piolo tungkol sa pagiging film producer. “I wanna be able to do something else, to broaden myself, and not just to limit myself on TV or sa movies, not just a movie or actor.”
As early as now ay humahakot na ng parangal ang pelikulang Manila ni Piolo dahil nag-premiere ito sa katatapos na Cannes Film Festival at naanyayahan din upang maipalabas sa Moscow International Film Festival. Isa pang award ang nakamtan ng aktor dahil napiling best telenovela ang nakaraan niyang teleserye with Angel Locsin, ang Lobo, sa Bannf Film Festival sa Canada. “Nakakataba ng puso dahil worth the effort ang lahat (ng paghihirap). Sarap ng feeling na ma-recognize ka hindi lang dito kundi sa ibang bansa,” dagdag ng aktor.
Ibinunyag din ni Piolo na magsisimula na siyang mag-shooting ng bago niyang pelikula ngayong buwan, subalit ayaw pang sabihin kung ano ang magiging role niya at kung sino ang makakasama niya. Ang tanging kinumpirma niya ay sobrang excited siya sa gagampanan niyang papel dahil isa ito sa mga pangarap niyang gampanan.

“Opo, kami talaga ang nasa litratong ‘yan,” pagkumpirma ni Ruffa Gutierrez sa The Buzz kahapon hinggil sa mga kumakalat na larawan na sinasabing silang dalawa ni John Lloyd Cruz na nagkita at nagkasama sa United States. Sa unang larawan na nagpapakita sa dalawa na nakatalikod at pumapasok sa isang hotel, sinabi ni Ruffa na sinamahan niya lang ang aktor na pumunta sa isang hotel. “First time niya na makapunta sa LA (Los Angeles) na nagbabakasyon, sinamahan ko siya diyan sa hotel, kasi right now, SLS hotel is the hottest place now. So sabi ko sa kanya d’yan na lang siya mag-stay. I have naman my own place in Beverly Hills. So hinatid ko lang siya,” paliwanag ni Ruffa.
Sa pangalawang larawan na kitang-kita ang dalawa na nagsho-shopping, sinabi ni Ruffa na wala namang malisya sa litrato. “We’re just hanging out and going shopping. He’s my shopping buddy,” pagtukoy ni Ruffa kay Lloydy. “Namimili, nage-enjoy, nagsho-shopping. We are not a couple. We enjoy each other’s company, we go out, we text, pero hindi po kami magkasintahan. I think there’s really nothing wrong kung magkita kami ni John Lloyd do’n (sa US). We enjoy each other’s company, we text, nagtatawagan kami and we do go out. So wala naman po sigurong masama doon dahil disente naman si John Lloyd, single naman siya, single naman ako,” depensa ng host-actress. Dagdag pa niya, wala naman sigurong masama kung maging magkaibigan sila ni Lloydy.
Ipinaliwanag ni Ruffa na marami na siyang pinagdaanan subalit hindi pa umano siya handa sa isang seryosong relasyon. “I just want to take things slow right now, just enjoy life. Kasi matagal din naman akong hindi nage-enjoy sa buhay ko.” Nakiusap rin si Ruffa na sana ay bigyan naman siya ng privacy sa tuwing naiisip niyang magbakasyon halimbawa ay sa ibang bansa.
Isang official statement naman ang inilabas ng head ng Star Magic na si Direk Johnny Manahan at tumatayong manager ni Lloydy. Narito ang kabuuang nilalaman ng nasabing pahayag:

Sa gitna ng hindi matapus-tapos na isyu ng sex-video scandal ni Hayden Kho, nakapanayam ni Boy Abunda si Dr. Vicki Belo para sa The Buzz kahapon at pinanindigan ang paniniwala niyang may kinalaman ang mga kaibigan ni Hayden na sina Eric Chua, Bistek Rosario at Princess Velasco sa pagkalat ng mga video scandal. Nilinaw rin ng doktor na wala siyang sama ng loob sa tatlo sa kabila ng mga pangyayari. “I don’t hate you at all. Let’s pray all together that the truth would come out and that we would all be over with this issue and get on with our lives and be able to move on,” mensahe ng Dr. Vicki.
Itinanggi rin niya ang mga nasusulat na balitang nagkabalikan sila ni Hayden sa kabila ng lahat ng nangyari. “We’re not together. If you’re asking me, am I in love with him? Am I going to be with him? Do I see ourselves spending the rest of our lives together and going off to the sunset and going to have a wonderful relationship? No,” paglilinaw nito.
Dalawa lang umano nag pinagsisisihan niya sa pagkakasangkot niya sa isyung ito, at ito ay ang pagiging apektado ng kanyang 82-anyos na ina at dalawang anak, sina Cristalle at Quark Henares. Alam umano ng kanyang ina ang lahat ng nangyayari at lubos umano siyang nasaktan nang itanong sa kanya ng ina kung mayroon ba talaga siyang sex video. Gayunpaman, umaasa pa rin siya na ipinagmamalaki pa rin siya ng kanyang mga magulang. “I hope I’m not such a disappointment to you. I know they are very proud of me pero sana naman you’re still proud of me kasi I know I’m a good doctor, I know I’m a good daughter. I just don’t know why I get myself into these controversies na parang she mom worries about me all the time, and that’s not good,” pag-amin ng doktor.
Sa kanyang dalawang anak naman, sinabi ng doktor na ipinagmamalaki niya ang dalawa dahil sa katatagang ipinapakita. Nagpapasalamat din siya kina Quark at Cristalle sa pagtatanggol sa kanya sa lahat ng mga negatibong nasusulat tungkol sa kanya. “I’m so proud of what kind of human beings you have become. Thank you so much for supporting me and loving me and defending me. Kahit na nakakahiya kasi mothers are supposed to defend their children but you are doing such a great job of defending your mother,” mensahe ni Dr. Vicki.
Naluha-luha naman siya nang tanungin siya ni Boy kung ano ang sasabihin niya sa sarili sa harap ng mahiwagang salamin. “I think you’re a good person. You just make stupid mistakes sometimes. But you know, you’re right. I’m a work in progress and will learn from this experience and I will become a better person after this and I will be able to help more people after this.”
Katrina Halili gets emotional at her Showbiz Central interview

Naging emotional si Katrina Halili sa live interview sa kanya ni Pia Guano sa Showbiz Central kahapon, July 5. Ilang sandali bago ang interview kay Katrina ay sumalang din as live guest si Dra. Vicki Belo, na idinemanda ng sexy actress dahil sa pagkakaugnay diumano nito sa uploading ng sex videos ni Katrina at ng dating boyfriend ng cosmetic surgeon na si Hayden Kho.
Kinumusta muna ni Pia si Katrina, na nagbabalik sa pag-arte bilang Fedra sa primetime series na Rosalinda.
“Okey po, okey naman,” maikling sagot ni Katrina.
Dahil parehong nasa studio sina Katrina at Dra. Belo, although magkahiwalay sila ng dressing room, nagkaroon ba sila ng chance na makapag-usap?
“Hindi…ako na rin naman po ang umiwas,” sabi ni Katrina.
Binanggit ni Pia kay Katrina ang interview nina Mo Twister at Raymond Gutierrez kay Dra. Belo. Sinabi ng cosmetic surgeon na masama ang loob niya kay Katrina dahil pagkatapos siyang patawarin sa naging affair nila ni Hayden ay nagawa pa rin daw siyang idemanda at ang Belo Medical Group.
Ano ang reaction niya rito?
“Totoo po na nagkita kami noong December, tinawagan po nila ako. Yung time na yun, siyempre, alam ko naman po na yun ang pag-uusapan. At saka, sabi niya [Dra. Belo], idinenay ko? Hindi naman po. Yung sinasabi ko po na ang hirap din naman po ng situwasyon na yun na aaminin ko po sa kanya, hihingi po ako ng… Siyempre, hindi rin naman po lahat ng taong nakagawa ng kasalanan, kaya pong gawin yun at harapin yun. Noong sinabi po niya, hindi naman po ako nagdalawang-isip. Sabi ko, ‘Sige po, pupunta ako.’
“Hindi po ako nag-deny. Nagtapos po kami nang maayos noon. Tapos sabi niya, ‘O, sige, wala nang lalabas, ganyan.’ Sila naman po ang hindi tumigil. Nanahimik po ako. Sila naman po yung, nagbigay po siya ng clues, ibinigay po niya yung pangalan ko. I mean, si Hayden… Sila naman po yung nag-umpisa, e. Di ba, nanahimik naman po ako, ngayon lang naman po ako nagsalita,” naiiyak nang sabi ni Katrina.
Pia then asked Katrina how does she feel about Dra. Belo right now. Is she mad at her? Does she also feel betrayed by her? Kasi ang feeling ni Dra. Belo sa kanya, she felt betrayed by Katrina?
“Ayoko na pong pag-usapan kung ano po yung napag-usapan namin. Ayoko na po, tapos na po yun. Nag-usap po kami ng December, maayos po yung pinag-usapan namin. Hindi ko po sinabing naglaro lang ako. Hindi ko po idinenay… Ayoko na pong ipagtanggol ang sarili ko!” napataas ang boses na sabi ni Katrina, at tuluyan na siyang nag-breakdown.
KATRINA STRUGGLES. Pagkatapos nito ay binigyan siya ni Pia ng assurance na hindi na raw nila pag-uusapan pa si Dra. Belo because, obviously, Katrina is still very affected by that. So, moving on, she has shown a very brave front. With all the cases that she filed, ano sa tingin niya ang pinakamagandang nagawa niya sa lahat ng nangyari.?
Tumutulo pa rin ang luha ni Katrina na sinabing, “Basta, masasabi ko lang… Ayoko na po…hindi ko alam…ang gulo po ng utak ko. Walang pumapasok sa utak ko. Kanina pa…”
Tanong ni Pia, kapag ganitong naguguluhan siya, who gives her support? Sino ang gumagabay sa kanya para palakasin ang loob niyang muli?
“Siyempre po yung pamilya ko, si God, yung mga taong nagmamahal sa akin. Hindi ko alam… Walang pumapasok sa kukote ko,” ang patuloy sa pagluhang sabi niya.
Pero dagdag niya, “Sige, ‘eto na lang, basta natatandaan ko, yung sinabi niya [Dra. Belo] kanina na itinuturo ko raw siya na nag-upload, patunayan niya po na sinabi ko po na siya nga yung nag-upload. Kasi po, yung statement ko po, hindi po ako ang nagtuturo sa kanya, si Erik Chua po. Sana po, basahin n’yo po, sana po, naiintindihan n’yo po kung ano po ang ipinasa ko. Wala po akong itinuturong tao. Ang sa akin lang, siyempre po, gusto ko pong malaman kung sino ang nagkalat nun.
“Siyempre po, ang tagal ko pong nanahimik. Noong inamin ko kung ano ang naging relasyon namin [ni Hayden], lahat ng… Nawalan ako ng trabaho. Yung ibang tao, iba na ang tingin sa akin. Tinanggap ko po yun. Hanggang May, wala akong trabaho. Wala akong sinisi, kasalanan ko po. Pumasok ako sa relasyon na yun. Kung ito pa ang idinulot sa akin ng ginawa ko, sige, tinanggap ko po.
“Pero yung nilabas pa po ang video, parang sobra-sobra naman po! Sobra-sobrang pandudurog ang ginawa sa akin at saka planado. Noong paglabas ng video, may mga nag-text sa mga reporter na panoorin yung video ko, so intention akong sirain. Napakawalanghiya po nila!” naiiyak pa ring sabi ni Katrina.
Again, Pia reminded Katrina na hindi na raw nila pag-uusapan yung tungkol doon. And moving forward, since Katrina said that for the past months, wala siyang work, this time, GMA-7 has given her a new project. She will be playing one of the main characters in Rosalinda. How does she feel going back to work?
“Nagpapasalamat po ako sa GMA-7 sa pagtitiwala nila sa akin. Sa pagbibigay nila sa akin ng role na Fedra. Alam po natin na napakalaking project po ito ng GMA-7. May pressure po sa akin dahil hindi ko po alam kung paano ako tatanggapin ng mga tao. Pero nangangako po ako sa inyo na aayusin ko po ang trabaho ko para mapasaya ko po kayo,” sabi ni Katrina, na tumutulo pa rin ang luha.

Parehong nag-guest nang live sa Showbiz Central kahapon, July 5, sina Dra. Vicki Belo at Katrina Halili. Pero hindi nagkaroon ng pagkakataon na magkita ang dalawa dahil magkahiwalay ang dressing room nila at naunang sumalang si Dra. Belo kesa kay Katrina.
Pagkatapos manahimik ng ilang linggo mula nang pumutok ang kontrobersiyal na sex videos ng dating boyfriend ni Dra. Belo na si Hayden Kho, kasama ang iba’t ibang babae kabilang na si Katrina, ay pumayag nang magpa-interview ng cosmetic surgeon upang ipagtanggol ang kanyang sarili at ang Belo Medical Group. Matatandaang nagsampa ng reklamo si Katrina laban kay Dra. Belo dahil sa pagkalat ng sex videos nila ni Hayden, at sa Belo Medical Group dahil sa pagpapahintulot nito kay Hayden na magsagawa ng liposuction kay Katrina bagamat hindi pa raw sapat ang kaalaman nito.

DRA. BELO SPEAKS UP. Sinabi ni Raymond na since marami na ang lumabas na intriga, maraming tao ang naghihintay ng interview ni Dra. Belo, but it took her a long time bago siya magsalita. Why?
“Because in the beginning, of course, nasaktan din ako sa nangyari,” sagot ni Dra. Belo. “Sobrang masakit talaga. I changed, e. I became extroverted. I didn’t go out. I just kept to myself. I wasn’t talking to any of my close friends about it. Parang I needed to absorb it.
“Pero ngayon, parang nagbaligtad na yata ang mundo. Ang alam ko, biktima po ako rito. Ako ang pinakamalaking biktima, I think. Pero ang nangyayari ngayon, ako na ang idinedemanda. Ako na ang inaano na ako ang nag-upload ng videos. Ano nangyari rito? I think, it’s time naman na magsalita ako para ipagtanggol ang sarili ko.”
About the uploading part, does she know how to upload things on the Internet?
“No, zero! The only thing I know to do is word processing. I don’t even do e-mails. I don’t know anything,” sabi ni Dra. Belo.
Tanong naman ni Mo, “With all these cases going on now at nalaman pa na this week, you lost your father, he passed away… You’re in the immigration watch list. May mga attacks sa business mo. When you look back about this year, ito ba ang pinaka-lowest point sa buhay mo?
“I think, it’s definitely one of the lowest, the lowest or the second lowest because the last time I felt this depressed was when Atom [Henares, Vicki's husband] and I broke up. But now, it’s on all fronts, e, it’s all my business, it’s my personal life… My father passed away. One of the reasons I opened the clinic in Cebu is so I can visit him [her father] every month. My Cebu clinic has been only open for four months, and then he left me already, so that’s really painful.
“You know, Mo, as usual, I always look at the bright side. There’s two sides to every coin. I’ve found out naman how much my patients love me. How much they give me support because before, it’s a bit more impersonal—I’m the doctor, they are my patients. But now, they come to me with prayers and words of encouragement. My children have become more closer to me. I’m closer to my brother and sister.”
WHY HAYDEN DESERVES A SECOND CHANCE. Ayon kay Raymond, “A lot of people, napaka-negative ng tingin kay Hayden. So, is Hayden worth all these troubles?
“I always think about that. And I think, I’ve come to the conclusion that it’s better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all,” sagot ni Dra. Belo.
So, walang regrets tungkol kay Hayden?
“No regrets.”
Napatawad na raw ni Vicki si Hayden for what he has done. Pero para sa ibang tao, bakit kailangang bigyan ng second chance si Hayden?
“Well, I think, in the 29 years that Hayden has been alive, 28 years has been very good. If you look at his past records, his friends from school, everybody will say how a decent man he was. And I think, you know, everybody, somehow, I don’t want people to judge his life for this one incident. I feel that everybody deserves a second chance.”
KATRINA HALILI. Napunta naman ang usapan kay Katrina Halili, na sinasabing isa sa “major players” sa kontrobersiyang ito. Tinanong ni Mo si Dra. Belo: “What hurt more, Katrina having an affair with your longtime boyfriend na si Hayden, or Katrina suing you, especially with the fact that she was an endorser of yours and someone who you think you treated very well?
“Well, definitely, it’s for having an affair with Hayden, because that’s something that was so painful. There’s nothing, it’s a lost relationship, di ba? As far as the things she sued me for, I’m so sure that I’ll be cleared. I know I haven’t done anything. So I will win that part.
“It’s really painful. I thought she’s my friend. Four years of friendship. I defended both of them when there were rumors in the beginning, so it really hurt me, extremely painful in a personal level,” sagot ni Dra. Belo.

Bago ang mahabang pahayag ni Kris ay binasa muna ni Boy Abunda ang ilang excerpts mula sa artikulong may titulong “Praying For Tita Cory” na isinulat ni Bum Tenorio Jr. at nailathala kahapon sa The Philippine Star. Nilalaman nito ang paghanga kay Mrs. Aquino gayundin ang pagdarasal para sa mabuting kalagayan ng dating Pangulo.
MEDICAL BULLETIN. Pagkatapos nito ay inilahad na ni Kris ang kanyang damdamin. Unang nagsalita si Kris kaugnay sa hindi nila paglalabas ng medical bulletin tungkol sa kalagayan ngayon ni Mrs. Aquino.
“There was video, pinatanggal ko po yun, kasi natakot ako baka nanonood ang mom. I ask my sister now before I spoke kung tulog siya, and she is. Una po, ayaw ho naming isipin n’yo na dine-dedma namin lahat ng dasal, lahat ng kabutihan, lahat ng effort po ng lahat ng Pilipino to reach out to us. Pangalawa po, we know we are public. We know what my mom represents for our country. Pero mahirap po talaga.
“Sana naiintindihan n’yo kung yung mga pinagdadaanan namin, we keep it private for now. But we tell her every day about all the outpouring, lahat ng sulat, lahat ng e-mail, lahat po ng tao na talaga pong pinaparamdam n’yo sa amin how much you love our mother.”
PRAYERS FOR CORY. Sumunod namang inihayag ni Kris ang kanyang damdamin kaugnay ng isinulat ni Bum Tenorio Jr., gayundin sa sulat na galing sa Carmelites sa Cebu.
“You know, this article today meant so much, kasi if there’s one thing talaga that my mom has been telling us from the very start, we all need to pray for each other. And that’s what we’ve been doing and that’s what you’ve been doing for her. Yes, it’s true yung nasa diyaryo today, she will be in the hospital indefinitely.
“I received a beautiful letter today from the Carmelites in Cebu. I think it was dated before people found out about her hospitalization. Pero dun kami, Boy, nung when the Edsa Revolution started, I was with my mom at the Carmelites in Cebu. And nakalagay lang dun na, ‘We are praying for the best.’”
GOD KNOWS BEST. Sinabi pa ni Kris na handa na rin sila sa kung anuman ang mangyayari. Kung anuman ang kagustuhan ng Diyos ay tatanggapin nila ito.
“Alam n’yo ho kami, we know that God knows best. We know that whatever will happen, it’s part of His will. He has been so good to us, particularly my family kasi nabigyan Niya po kami ng pagkakataon na maiparamdam sa mom namin kung gaano namin siya kamahal. And how much people really love her. Siguro yun ang isa sa pinakamagandang nangyari dahil sa lahat ng masasakit na pinagdadaanan niya.”
Hindi rin nakalimutan ni Kris ang taus-pusong pasasalamat sa lahat ng mga taong nagdarasal para kay Mrs. Aquino at nagpapaabot ng suporta sa pamilya Aquino.

Diether Ocampo goes back to work after suffering seizure last June
Nag-alala ang mga tagahanga at taong malalapit kay Diether Ocampo nang mabalitaang nagka-seizure ang actor habang nagre-rehearse for the Star Magic Tour in Ontario, California.
Mabuti na lamang at sa pag-uwi niya sa bansa last July 1 ay kinumpirma mismo ng actor na okey na siya at wala nang dapat ikabahala ang publiko sa kanyang kalagayan.
“There’s nothing to worry about. Pahinga lang talaga ang kailangan and taliwas sa mga naunang nai-report na medyo seryoso ang kundisyon, hindi totoo. I mean, sabi ng doctors kasi pagod, overfatigue lang. Akala ko may kinalaman sa heart ko, nag-worry nga ako, so nung nasa America ako, nagsagawa ang mga doctor ng series of tests. It turned out na negative naman lahat. May mga cardiologist and neurologist na nagsagawa ng mga tests, siyempre di namin puwedeng balewalain yung mga nangayri kasi baka mag-alala na yung mga tao ‘saka ako rin.
“Nagkasunud-sunod kasi yung trabaho dahil bago ako umalis, tinapos ko muna yung mga eksena ko sa Only You. Gusto kong makapag-advance din ng episodes bago umalis, and then after that may mga inasikaso din akong mga businesses ko at sa KIDS Foundation, kaya pagdating ko dun medyo jet lag.
“Tapos sunud-sunod yung trabaho. Yung katawan ko di pa nakakapag-adjust sa time zone kaya nanibago yung katawan ko, kaya nag-shutdown.”
“NATAKOT DIN AKO.” Ikinuwento sa amin ni Diet kung saan at kailan nangyari ang kanyang seizure. He even admitted to us na iyak siya nang iyak noong nagkamalay na siya, a second life na dapat ipagpasalamat ni Diet.

Sa nangyaring ito kay Diet, nabalita na ang ex-wife raw na si Kristine Hermosa ang nag-asikaso at sobra daw nag-alala sa kalagayan ng actor.
“Di ko alam kasi unconscious ako, although alam ko yung mga kasamahan ko sa Star Magic, siyempre ayoko namang mag-alala sila nang ganun dahil di ko naman ginusto yun. Nagpapasalamat ako sa mga nag-asikaso sa akin kung sino man ang naging taong involved dun. Kasama yata dun sila Kristine, sila Claudine, sila Tita Monch, ‘saka yung mga kababayan natin dun na tumulong sa akin. May isa ngang Pinay na nurse dun, si Tita Malou, kakilala yata ni Claudine yun.
“Yung kay Kristine kasi nalalagyan lang ng di magandang kulay yung sa amin. We’re okey. Sa mga ganitong pagkakataon, maasahan mo kaming dalawa. Kahit siya ang malagay sa ganung sitwasyon, I will do the same thing kaya nagpapasalamat ako.”
Labis din ang pag-aalala ng current girlfriend ni Diet na si Rema Ostwani.
“Nag-worry din, siyempre, pero okey naman. Constantly ina-update siya ng brother ko.”
Maging ang kasama sa Only You na si Angel Locsin ay nagpahayag din ng sobrang worry sa sinapit ng kapareha sa nakaraang Thanksgiving party ng aktres.
“Kausap ko siya pagbalik ko. Sabi ko ready na akong magtrabaho, kahit siya ayaw niya. Magpahinga daw muna ako, ‘wag ko raw pilitin ang katawan ko.”
SECOND OPINION. Nagpahinga si Diet mula nang umuwi siya last July 1 hanggang sa araw na ito. Balik trabaho siya bukas para sa taping ng Only You.
“Nag-adjust ang production, magpahinga daw muna ako till I’m really okey. Magsisimula uli akong magtrabaho on Monday, taping ng Only You.”
To make sure, magpapatingin uli dito si Diet for a second opinion.
“May naka-sked din ako dito just to make sure pero di na naman kailangan. Parang requested ‘yan by Mr. M and Tita Mariolle kasi iba yung doctor dun, di ba? At iba rin ang doctor dito sa atin. Sabi nila just to make sure, kailangang humingi tayo ng second opinion.”
Nag-iwan din ng mensahe si Diet sa mga taong sobrang nag-alala sa nangyari sa kanya.

Michael Jackson’s Memorial – without Michael Jackson’s remains?
There has been an overwhelming response to the ticket lottery provided by the organizers of the Michael Jackson Memorial to be held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Tuesday, July 7th. So far, fans continue to register for the lottery ticket. Seven hours after the announcement was made regarding the lottery, there had been half a million registrations received at the website, all of whom are hoping to grab a couple of tickets to see Michael Jackson for the last time and participate in his memorial.
However, there are speculations that Michael Jackson’s remains won’t even be taken to the Staples Center. According to CNN:
Yet, despite the interest surrounding the service, few details emerged by early Saturday. Organizers would only say there would not be a funeral processional to the arena, indicating Jackson’s body would not be brought to the public memorial.
I don’t know about all of you but if I am going to that memorial, my mission is to pay my last respects to Michael Jackson. If his body won’t be taken there – I would rather watch it at home. I could hold my own memorial by saying a prayer for him rather than going to a stadium.
The original lottery was open only to U.S. Residents but according the CNN, the organizers have now opened up the lottery to Non-US Residents.
The overwhelming response prompted organizers to open up the lottery to non-U.S. residents as well, he said.

There were speculations that she is positioning herself to run for office in 2012. The news shocked both the Republican and Democratic parties.
Whether she runs for office or not in 2012, Gov. Sarah Palin will leave an indelible mark. The Governor was famous for drawing crowds of thousands during the campaign as a Vice-President during last year’s elections.

AGB Mega Manila TV Ratings (June 30-July 2): ABS-CBN soaps grab lead in the primetime race
The primetime supremacy in Mega Manila area is slipping away from GMA-7.
The last three days, June 30 to July 2, saw two ABS-CBN shows occupying the top slot in the primetime race: Tayong Dalawa (June 30 and July 2) and May Bukas Pa (July 1). This is based on the latest overnight ratings conducted by AGB Nielsen Philippines among Mega Manila households.
Although the Top 10 is equally divided between ABS-CBN and GMA-7 with five shows apiece, the Kapamilya network has two or three shows in the Top 5: Tayong Dalawa, May Bukas Pa, and Only You.
GMA-7′s Zorro usually tops the primetime race, but it slipped to second place Tuesday (June 30) and Thursday (July), and even dropped to No. 6 Wednesday (July 1).
Totoy Bato and 24 Oras still give a very good fight for the Kapuso network.
Other slots are being contested by GMA-7′s Adik Sa ‘Yo and All My Life, and ABS-CBN’s TV Patrol World and The Wedding.
On the other hand, Kapuso programs still dominate the daytime race with Eat Bulaga! leading the charge.
With the entry of Hole In The Wall in the daytime arena, GMA-7 made its campaign even stronger with five of its programs occupying the Top 5 slots. Aside from Eat Bulaga! and Hole In The Wall, the other Kapuso shows in the upper half are the afternoon soaps Kung Aagawin Mo ang Lahat Sa Akin, Ngayon at Kailanman, and Daisy Siete.
Noontime show Wowowee leads all ABS-CBN daytime shows, usually taking the fifth or sixth place.
Overall, GMA-7 still leads ABS-CBN in terms of channel ratings. Last June 30, GMA-7 had 17 percent compared to ABS-CBN’s 14.2 percent; last July 1, GMA-7 averaged 16.6 percent against ABS-CBN’s 13.4 percent; and yesterday (July 2), GMA-7 got 17.5 percent vs. ABS-CBN’s 13.9 percent.
On July 6, Monday, GMA-7′s newest primetime soap Rosalinda will premiere. The Kapuso network could only hope that this new program will boost their overall performance in the primetime race.

TNS National TV Ratings June 30-July 2: Kambal Sa Uma is the new daytime leader
There is a new leader in the daytime race, based on the latest overnight ratings conducted by Taylor Nelson Sofres (TNS) among national households.
Willie Revillame’s noontime show Wowowee was toppled by the afternoon soap Kambal Sa Uma as the No. 1 daytime program. The Shaina Magdayao-Melissa Ricks starrer consistently rated higher that Willie’s program the past three days, from June 30 to July 2. Wowowee slid to second place.
Precious Hearts Romances Presents Bud Brothers, Eat Bulaga!, and Kung Aagawin Mo ang Lahat Sa Akin battle it out for the third to fifth slots.
The primetime race is still dominated by ABS-CBN programs, with May Bukas Pa leading the charge. The other slots in the Top 5 are being occupied by the following Kapamilya shows: Only You, TV Patrol World, Tayong Dalawa, and Boys Over Flowers.
The rest of the Top 10, meanwhile, are being contested by GMA-7′s Totoy Bato, Zorro, 24 Oras, and Adik Sa Yo, and ABS-CBN’s The Wedding.

There are talks already on how many people will gather at the Michael Jackson Memorial service at the Staples Center (Auditorium) in Los Angeles, CA on Tuesday – July 7th. Predictions are being made that this could equal, if not surpass Princess Diana’s Funeral in 1997 where a reported 2.7 billion people watched.
The organizers of the event at Staples Center are giving away 11,000 free tickets. I’m sure that 11,000 will go fast considering the stadium has a reported capacity of 20,000. It doesn’t even count how many people would gather outside the stadium during the event. We shall see.
Michael Jackson has fans all over the globe and it wouldn’t be a surprise if the televised event would surpass Princess Diana’s Funeral. This of course wouldn’t even include live stream broadcasts over the internet.

The Michael Jackson Public Memorial Service will take place on Tuesday, July 7, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at STAPLES Center in downtown Los Angeles, California and simulcast inside to Nokia Theatre L.A. LIVE across the street. A limited number of free tickets to both venues will be made available for Michael Jackson’s fans to attend.
Due to the expected overwhelming demand, the following procedures have been set to accommodate registration for the tickets. Please note that by registering for tickets to attend the Public Memorial Service, it does NOT guarantee the registrant tickets.
The opportunity to register for tickets begins at 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time on Friday, July 3, 2009 and ends at 6:00 p.m. Pacific Time on Saturday, July 4, 2009.
Please enter your information [on the Staples Center Web site] to receive two tickets, that will be randomly distributed for either STAPLES Center or Nokia Theatre L.A. LIVE to attend the Michael Jackson Public Memorial Service. Only one entry per individual will be accepted. Registering to attend the Public Memorial Service is NOT a guarantee of tickets.
