Full cast of Darna finally revealed

Ginanap na ang story conference ng pinakaaabangang primetime series ng GMA-7, ang pagbabalik ng telefantasya na Darna. Sa 17th floor ng GMA Network Center ginawa ang story conference kahapon, July 1, para sa naturang series na pagbibidahan ni Marian Rivera.
Matatandaang last May ay pormal nang in-announce na si Marian ang bagong Darna at buong-ningning naman itong tinanggap ng young actress.
Ipinapalabas na rin ang teaser ng Darna, kung saan suot ni Marian ang costume ng pinakasikat na Pinay superhero na nilikha ni Mars Ravelo bilang kabahagi ng second quarter offering ng GMA-7. Pero hindi pa raw ito ang final costume na susuutin ni Marian sa mismong serye.
Gaganap bilang leading man ni Marian si Mark Anthony Fernandez sa papel ni Efren. Kuwento ni Mark, hindi pa raw natatapos ang huli niyang sinamahan na drama series na All About Eve ay nasabihan na siya ang magiging male lead sa Darna. Ito ang first time na makakatambal niya si Marian.
IWA MOTO IS VALENTINA. Bukod siyempre sa papel na Darna at Efren, ang isa pang pinakaaabangan ng lahat ay kung sino ang gaganap sa papel ng pinakamatinding kalaban ni Darna—si Valentina. At ang napili ng GMA-7 na gumanap sa naturang role ay walang iba kundi si Iwa Moto.
Ang papel na Valentina ang isa sa pinakamahalagang role sa Darna series. Ang ilan sa mga aktres na nagsiganap bilang Valentina in the past ay sina Celia Rodriguez, Pilar Pilapil, Cherie Gil, Pilita Corrales, at si Alessandra de Rossi sa unang Darna ng GMA-7, kung saan nagbida si Angel Locsin.
Tiyak na malaking boost ito sa career ni Iwa, na itinanghal na First Princess sa StarStruck 2 noong 2006. Mas nabibigyan nga siya ng magagandang break ng GMA-7 kesa sa tumalo sa kanya sa StarStruck na si Jackie Rice. Kasalukuyang napapanood si Iwa sa Adik Sa ‘Yo.
Kapwa nasa Top 5 ng FHM’s Sexiest Woman in the World this year sina Marian at Iwa. Si Marian ay No. 2, samantalang nasa No. 5 slot si Iwa.
OTHER CAST MEMBERS. Ang iba pang mga Kapuso stars na kasama sa malaking cast ng Darna ay sina Nadine Samonte, Isabel Oli, at Ehra Madrigal bilang mga babaeng makakalaban ni Darna; Rita Avila at Jestoni Alarcon bilang magulang ni Narda (ang alter-ego ni Darna); Janice de Belen bilang ina ni Valentina; Paolo Contis bilang ama ni Valentina, na siyang hari ng mga ahas; Buboy Villar bilang Ding; at Celia Rodriguez bilang tagapamahala ng ampunan kung saan lumaki si Narda.
Kasama rin sa cast sina Alfred Vargas, Angel Aquino, Bearwin Meily, Margaret Wilson, Caridad Sanchez, Gabby Eigenmann, at Roxanne Barcelo.
Ang magdidirek naman ng Darna ay sina Dominic Zapata at Don Michael Perez.
Si Direk Dom din ang nagdirek ng Darna ni Angel Locsin. Ngayon ay natutuwa naman siya kay Marian dahil naidirek na niya ito noon sa Super Twins, kung saan support lang ang role nito bilang ina nina Jennylyn Mercado at Nadine Samonte. Ngayon ay siya na ang bida sa Darna.
Sa August na ang pagbabalik ng Darna sa GMA-7.

Sharon Cuneta says it’s “impossible” for daughter KC Concepcion to be involved in a sex scandal

Nagsalita na sa wakas ang Megastar na si Sharon Cuneta tungkol sa kumalat na balitang may sex video diumano ang kanyang panganay na anak na si KC Concepcion. Kumalat ang balitang ito noong kainitan ng paglabas ng sex videos ni Dr. Hayden Kho Jr. Kabilang sa mga babaeng nasa sex video ay ang Kapuso star na si Katrina Halili at ang Kapamilya newbie na si Maricar Reyes.
Nakapanayam si Sharon sa set ng pelikulang OMG! (Oh, My Girl!) noong Miyerkules, July 1, sa Taal, Batangas. May cameo role si Sharon sa naturang pelikula na pinagbibidahan nina Judy Ann Santos at Ogie Alcasid.
Nagulat daw si Sharon noong unang makarating sa kanya ang balitang ito tungkol kay KC. Pero hindi nagtagal ay pinagtawanan na lang daw nilang mag-ina ang issue na iyon. Pati nga raw ang mister ng Megastar na si Sen. Kiko Pangilinan ay hindi makapaniwala sa tsismis na ito.
“To be honest, na-shock ako pero natawa rin ako,” simula ni Sharon. “Kasi nananahimik ang anak kong nagtatrabaho, tapos biglang may ganyang balita? Idamay ba ang anak ko sa issue na ‘yan?

Isa na namang “paparazzo photo” nina Ruffa Gutierrez at John Lloyd Cruz ang kumakalat ngayon.
Pagkatapos lumabas dito sa PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) ang larawan nina Ruffa at John Lloyd habang pumapasok sa isang “swanky hotel” sa Beverly Hills, California, may iba pang sumulpot na larawan ng dalawa na magkasama.
Kung sa larawan na inilabas ng PEP, na kuha sa harapan ng SLS Hotel sa Beverly Hills, ay nakatalikod sa camera ang dalawa, sa lumabas na litrato kahapon, July 1, sa Manila Standard, kitang-kita na ang mga mukha nila. Balik-trabaho na si Sharon Cuneta after ng successful concert series niya sa abroad kamakailan, kung saan nakasama niya ang anak niyang si KC Concepcion. Kahapon, July 1, ay sumabak na agad si Sharon sa shooting ng Regal movie na OMG! (Oh My Girl!), na pinagbibidahan nina Judy Ann Santos at Ogie Alcasid.
May special guest appearance si Sharon sa OMG! Gumaganap siya rito bilang si Guada, isang pekeng manghuhula. Susunod namang gagawin ni Sharon for Regal ang pang-anim sa serye ng Mano Po movie.
Sa interview ng PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) at ng ibang entertainment press during the set visit kahapon sa shooting ng OMG!, na ginanap sa St. Martin de Tours sa Taal, Batangas, isa sa mainit na pinag-usapan ang tungkol sa anak niyang si KC.
Dahil sigurado nang gagawin ni Sharon ang Mano Po 6, posible bang makasama niya rin sa cast nito si KC?
“Hindi, e. Meron din siyang nakakasa. You know, she has her co-managers, sina Sandra Chavez at Shirley Kuan. Siyempre, they have plans for her career din na iba. So, ‘tsaka na yung kaming dalawa na magkasama.
“Ang alam ko, merong offer sa kanya na sila ng Papa niya [Gabby Concepcion], na okay sa akin. Hindi ko lang alam kung nakakasa na, kung nakapagpaalam na rin siya nang maayos sa daddy niya. Wala namang kaso sa amin yun. I think meron din siyang makakasamang parang yun ang ka-team up niya doon, bukod sa papa niya, kung matuloy yung movie. So, siguro yung amin, we’ll save the best na talagang for later na kami talaga yung magkasama,” pagsisiwalat ni Sharon.
SEX-VIDEO ISSUE ON KC. Kamakailan ay nadawit ang pangalan ni KC sa mga babaeng nakunan diumano ng sex video with Hayden Kho. Hindi ba siya nagalit sa kumalat na intriga ito?
“Tawang-tawa ako doon. Wala talagang katotohanan yun,” sabi ni Sharon.
Ano naman ang comment niya sa isyu na binayaran niya raw ang may hawak ng video para huwag nang lumabas ang sex video umano ni KC?
“Ang dami ko nang binabayaran! Yung mga utang ko sa bangko!” biro ni Sharon.
“Kayo naman, ako nga naisyu noon. Ang tanong ko, sexy ba? Tawa ako nang tawa. Bakit ko naman babayaran yun, e, di sana pinakulong ko na lang siya? Di ba naman? Of course not! Hindi ko kayang mag-lie. E, di sana umiiyak na ako ngayon. No, my God, kadiri, ano ba ‘yan! Maling-mali yun, that was so foul. You don’t do that to any woman.”
Ano naman ang naging reaksiyon ng asawa niyang si Sen. Kiko Pangilinan about sa isyu na ito kay KC?
“Alam mo bang we never talked about it?” sabi niya. “Wala, kasi it’s a non-issue as far as we’re concerned. Non-issue talaga. Oo nga, kahit kami ni Kiko, hindi talaga namin napag-usapan ‘yan. It only came out once, not between me and Kiko. Yung mga kasama ko, yung mga araw-araw na kasama ko, yung yaya ni Frankie ang nagkuwento sa akin. ‘Ma’am pati nga yung tsismis…’ Ay, naku! Nakakagulat, ano ba yun!”
KC & PIOLO. Malapit nang mapanood sa teleseryeng Lovers In Paris si KC, kung saan katambal nito si Piolo Pascual. Balitang nagiging close na sa isa’t isa ang dalawa. Naitanong tuloy ng PEP kay Sharon kung happy ba siya sa friendship nina KC at Piolo Pascual.
“I’m happy,” sagot ng Megastar. “They’re enjoying Lovers In Paris. It’s turning out to be a really nice teleserye. And Piolo is part of their small group. You know, they go to church together with the rest of the group [ASAP]; sina Mark [Bautista], Erik [Santos], Sam [Milby], Christian [Bautista], pati si Richard Poon nakakasama na rin.
“So, I cooked for them a couple of times na in the house. Everyone naman is welcome at home. So, as long as wala namang… You know, ako I feel secured, e, ‘pag si Piolo ang kasama niya, or anybody from their small group. Kasi nakikita kong napakadidisente, nagpapaalam nang maayos. Pag dadating sa bahay, they are all welcome. Ang joke ko nga, ‘Matulog kayong lahat dito para masaya ako!”
Totoo bang nanliligaw na si Piolo kay KC?
“Parang si KC ang tanungin n’yo niyan dahil hindi na ako sure kung sino ba sa kanila ang nanliligaw sa anak ko. At saka when I was doing BFF [Sharon's movie with Ai-Ai delas Alas], hindi ko na rin sila nakikita. And busy din sila sa taping. Grabe ang schedule nila, umaalis si KC ng alas-kuwatro ng umaga! Hindi ko na sila nakikita,” saad niya.
Ano naman ang comment niya sa intrigang gimik lang daw ang pagiging close nina KC at Piolo para sa publicity ng Lovers In Paris?
“Alam mo, ang natutunan ko sa showbiz, lahat ng nag-iisip na gumigimik o kahit ano, bahala na sila sa iniisip nila. In other words, I don’t make it my problem. Kung close sila, hindi naman ibig sabihin na mag-boyfriend sila. Imposible namang hindi mo maging ka-close ang katrabaho mo kung lagi kayong magkasama—ke babae, ke lalaki yun. Kahit nga staff nagiging close mo, yun pang leading man mo?” reaksiyon ni Sharon.
Jackson memorial to be Tuesday at Staples Center
So many conflicting news about Michael Jackson’s memorial for his long-time fans but this one was announced by a representative as briefed by the Jackson family spokesperson.
The memorial will take place at the Staples Center (20,0000-seat coliseum) on Tuesday, July 7th in Downtown Los Angeles at 10:00 a.m. according to CNN.
The stadium was were Michael Jackson rehearsed the night before his death for his upcoming comeback concert to be held at O2 in London.
It actually sounds better this way instead of Friday, July 3rd. July 4th is a Federal Holiday in the U.S. and many people will be traveling by car on July 3rd. If this memorial coincides with the National Holiday such as July 4th, it may cause traffic jams in a city already known for it’s difficult infrastructure.
The will was also turned over and filed by the family yesterday. The contents of the will provided more questions than answers according to reports. The initial content revealed that:
Katherine Jackson’s 40 percent share would go to Michael Jackson’s three children after her death, the source said.
The children — ages 7, 11 and 12 — will also share 40 percent of the estate’s assets and the remaining 20 percent will benefits charities designated by the executors of the will, the source said.

The DEA joins investigation in Michael Jackson’s death.
With a lot of speculations and rumors surrounding the cause of Michael Jackson’s death, the DEA (Drug Enforcement Agency) joined Federal investigators in the investigation of the King of Pop’s death.
Earlier in the week, a former nutritionist of Michael Jackson has stated that she spoke with Michael approximately three months ago asking her to watch him sleep and measure how little sleep he is getting every night. She said that although MJ slept well, he only slept for approximately three hours and then woke up. “Now do you know why I need something to be able to sleep? I just need eight full hours of sleep”, she quoted MJ saying.
Apparently, Michael Jackson is asking for a prescription drug called Diprivan (also known as Propofol) to aid him in his sleep. Experts say that they have not seen this drug used outside of the hospital. Dr. Sanjay Gupta from CNN said during an interview with Anderson Cooper yesterday that this drug is usually prescribed under strict supervision of doctors when obtaining any small procedure at a hospital.
It has also been said that the Jackson family is not going to hold a memorial at Neverland Ranch. They haven’t stated whether there would be any. Initially, rumors circulated that there will be a memorial at Neverland Ranch tomorrow, July 3rd. That has now been confirmed to be untrue.
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince Becomes Romantic
You probably expected as the children of Harry Potter series grows up that there will be intimate scenes. They are no longer children. This is a change to wahat we’re used to watching… but it definitely is good for the teenagers that are growing up together with these kids in the film.

Michael Jackson’s Kids – not his?
A volcanic rating on Google Trends today – Michael Jackson’s Kids. Why? Because a bomb shell had just been dropped. TMZ.com reports that Michael Jackson didn’t father his children. Even though during his 2003 interview, he said that it was his sperm that fathered all three children, speculations now surface that those claims are untrue.
“We’ve learned Michael Jackson was not the biological father of any of his children. And Debbie Rowe is not the biological mother of the two kids she bore for Michael. All three children were conceived in vitro,” TMZ reported, saying it was unclear who donated the sperm and eggs.
Meanwhile, Us magazine’s Web site, citing “multiple sources,” said of the two eldest, Prince Michael and Paris: “Their biological father is Arnold Klein, Jackson’s L.A.-based dermatologist and Rowe’s former boss . . . ”
I know that there are inquiring gossip minds out there who would like to know the real deal about Michael’s children. I feel bad for the children if the news breaks out about their true identities. Nothing can be more hurtful than finding out you’re not your parents’ child from outside the family. This is a family matter and should be considered as such, don’t you agree?
Whether they are Michael Jackson’s children or not, this should not be a big issue at this terrible terrible time of his children’s life. It’s enough for the children to go through this tragic event, let alone add insult to injury by exposing such deep personal family matters.
The movie “Hangover” is funny.. even better.. Bradley Cooper
I was asked to join a couple of my friends last night for Dinner and a Movie. Hmmm.. haven’t had that in a while. Although the “couple” is not quite “together”, they seemed cute if watched from afar. Haha! The one guy is Joey, and the other guy – we call “Papa”.
It was an unexpected event. I was coming home when I decided to call Joey (our usual talk-to-me-while-i-walk-to-the-train-station conversation). It so happened that they were passing by the city where I am based, and asked if I wanted a ride. This will be the first time I will meet “Papa” face-to-face – - a little intimidating and exciting at the same time.
Long story short… we went out to dinner at “Elena Wu“, and saw “Hangover“. I didn’t expect the movie to be as hilarious as it was but I was entertained…not because it was hilarious but because of Bradley Cooper. Yummy! I never saw the guy on Niptuck or the Jennifer Aniston movie, He’s Just not that into You. To rate my experience – - it was our first date. Ha! I think he just made it to my Chuva Hotness series… watch out for Chuvahotness number 19!!!

The sex video scandal of Dr. Hayden Kho is definitely far from over. Beside the lawsuits and charges he faces from Katrina Halili, he also faces further embarrassment should more videos come out. There is a rumor that he has another video that is spreading over the internet. The video is between him and an alleged Princess Velasco, girlfriend of his (ex) buddy, Dr. Herbert “Bistek” Rosario. Just imagine the shame of that. It’s the lowest of the low. Having sex with the girlfriend of your pal?

Let’s hear it for the boys! Footloose remake…
I don’t know about you all – but I’m totally stuck in the 80s. It’s an era where I have very fond memories. Lasting memories. Alright, I guess I just revealed my age but I don’t care. The 80s rock!
The new version (remake) of Footloose could be as good as the original but it could never be better than the original. I don’t care if you put one of the best looking guys out there (Chace Crawford) to take the place of Kevin Bacon… it’s still won’t be the same. The reason that people create “remakes” is that the original was so good and so profitable that they will try to make another one hoping to make the same amount of money that they made (if not more) than the original.
But could you just imagine if they remake “Titanic” or “ET” or “Star Wars”? It simply won’t be the same.
Yet, if this movie brings back the memories I have of the 80s, so be it. At least that would be a good ride to nostalgia.
