Willie Revillame sent a letter to ABS-CBN to rescind his contract.
Is this it folks? Is this what the public wanted? Well, I guess your wish may have just been granted. According to ABS-CBNnews.com:
Funfare’s Bohol Avenue DPA said that last Friday Revillame sent a letter to the ABS-CBN management requesting that his contract, which is good until 2011, be rescinded. – Source
Willie Revillame’s complain is that ABS-CBN didn’t even stand behind him when he received “a firestorm” of complaints and petition of his ouster in the popular game show, “Wowowee”. It was only Johnny M who has come out to his defense but clearly not to say that he’s not at fault but to explain fully what had occurred.
The lady whom Willie referred to during his statements (Linggit Tan) who was supposed to be responsible for the insertion of the inset of Former President Aquino’s funeral during the show has remained quiet.
The report stated that ABS-CBN is usually quick to respond about allegations against their stars. They quickly responded to the media during the “Piolo Pascual and Sam Milby Issue” when their gender was questioned due to unconfirmed reports about the two gentleman seen flirting with each other.
The question is, will the people who signed the petition authored by Roel C. Saguisag be content now that Willie has turned in a request to rescind his contract? Is this the end of Willie Revillame?
There is no confirmation just yet whether this is a resignation or whatever the request means. According to the news source,
Funfare tried to call Revillame to comment on whether he’s “resigning” from Wowowee or asking to be released from his contract but he ”cannot be reached.”
