Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera kiss on Dantes Peak
“Ay, ‘yon, part ng production ‘yon!” reasoned out Marian Rivera when asked about the kissing scene she had with rumored boyfriend Dingdong Dantes during the taping of the latter’s birthday TV special, Dantes Peak, last Friday, August 21, at Studio 7 of GMA Network Studios.
Just one day after their much talked about “public display of affection” at Marian’s birthday party, the actress and Dingdong did it again in one of the production numbers of the actor’s TV special, which highlights the new milestones in his career and personal life.

Isang bonggang special na pinamagatang Dantes Peak ang ibinigay na opportunity ng GMA-7 kay Dingdong Dantes, isa sa kanilang prime artist and the world’s 3rd sexiest man alive, according to E! Entertainment Television.
Sa naturang special na ipapalabas sa Sunday Night Box Office sa Linggo, August 30, dalawang bagay na malapit sa puso ni Dingdong ang ilo-launch niya. Ang bookazine na YES! Life Stories, na mabibili na ngayon, that feature Dong in his rare photo shoots, and some revealing anecdotes about him from his closest friends and from himself.
Ang ikalawa ay ang YES Pinoy Foundation na kung may ilang buwan na ring pinagkakaabalahan ni Dingdong na mabuo. Masaya nga raw siya sa opportunity na ibinigay sa kanya ng network dahil magiging daan ang special niya para maging aware ang mga tao.
The Butse Gang’s Camping Trip – August 14-16
Ay mali, di pala yan kasama sa camping. Personal collection ko pala yan! 
Hindi ako sanay matulog sa sahig, pero the Butse Gang’s (used-to-be-yearly) Camping Trip is an exception. Friends plan this trip every year. Kahit maraming okrayan sa pag-paplano, we still manage. Kanya-kanyang toka ng mga dadalhin, food, camping gear etc.
This year, konti na lang kami. We used to go with the whole gang – siguro mga 20 people kami. It’s a campsite in Pennsylvania – All-Male lang ‘to…bawal ang babae. In the years past, kasama rin namin ang Reyna Elena sa gimik na ‘to but not this year. Ang lola ninyo, hindi marunong magplano ng flight… kaya ayun, di tuloy siya nakasama.
All-in-all, it was a success. There were 13 of us and we occupied a good amount of space at the camp site. Dahil nga galing pa ng New York ang ditse ninyo, gabi na ko nakarating sa camp site. Bongga naman ang naging resulta so I would like to share pictures with you.
Nandiyan si America’s Top Monay – ayun, nakasuot ng apron at nagluluto ng sausage and meatball sauce – di ba? Ang shoray. Sabi ko nga, “Monay, I like your hat pero distracting siya!“ Hahaha! Sabi ng Monay, “Inggitera!“
Each and every one pitched in. Tulong tulong sa set-up ng tents, sa cooking, washing pots and pans at kung ano ano pa. It was a tame and relaxing weekend. Di ko na kinunan yung mga pics ng mga lalaking naglalakad ng walang saplot, baka ma-bad tayo ni Gugul!

Ryan Jenkins was not Arrested – Still on the loose.

Reality TV (I Love Money, Megan Wants a Millionaire) show star, Ryan Alexander Jenkins is wanted for the murder of his ex-wife. However, upon finding out that he is a suspect, Ryan allegedly fled to Canada and rumors has it that it could take years to extradite him.
The U.S. Marshals Service is offering a $25,000 reward for information regarding the whereabouts of Ryan Jenkins. His ex-wife’s (Jasmine Fiore) remains, was found stuffed in a suitcase with fingers cut-off at the knuckles and all her teeth pulled out.
The man arrested at Toronto Airport, thought to be Ryan Jenkins has since been released.
Chuva’s First Talent: Let’s call him Jon Kim
Hello folks! Heto na naman po si Chuva.. may bagong raket na naman. I don’t know if you all remember my post last year, bragging about my idea of becoming a talent manager. This has been a year in the making and it took a while for me to convince my talent to post his pictures on this blog.
We finally agreed and here I am posting my first set of picture of my talent, Jon Kim (not his real name of course, baka i-stalk ninyo sa Friendster at Facebook eh! ) and he’s really handsome. Very shy in person – Half-Filipino and Half-Chinese, he lives in the Northeast. He does have very good qualities, a perfect (and cute) smile, plus — he knows how to speak and write Tagalog. O, laban kayo diyan? All natural at walang photo shop ang mga pictures na yan…so vote na!

Okay, this is one of the events that gays from all over the world get excited about: The Miss Universe Pageant. We have a strong inclination that Miss Philippines-Universe, Pamela Bianca Manalo, will have a chance to take at the very least – one of the TOP 15.

Hmmmm.. why is it that anyone I’ve known who has the name of Ryan, Bryan or Brian are uber cute guys? I mean – adorable. Ryan Reynolds is a hottie. Brian Austin Green is a hottie. Ryan Kwanten is super hottie. Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte. Get it?

Willie Revillame is set to go back to Wowowee soon
Alright. Apparently the petition didn’t really mean a thing. Put everything aside, and the winner in this fiasco will be ABS-CBN and Wowowee. They make the decisions. All those who signed the petition would probably not create an impact until the advertisers of the show start pulling back.
How will they pull back? When TFC supporters stop patronizing their products. Will that happen? Probably. How broad will it be? Probably not as broad to effect an advertiser from pulling their ads from Wowowee.
According to PEP, Willie Revillame is due to come back to Wowowee next week.
Direk Bobot was interviewed by PEP and here are some of the excerpts:
Ano ang reaksiyon ng management sa pag-rally ng mga supporters ni Willie sa labas ng ABS-CBN?
“E, sigurado nami-miss siya ng mga ‘yan. Siyempre, marami rin ang nagrereklamo na wala siya. Kasi, mas maraming nagmamahal sa kanya. Yung masa na walang email. Wala nga yung mga pumipila d’yan araw-araw, kumonti.”
Ano naman ang masasabi nila sa petition na kumakalat sa Internet na ayaw nang pabalikin si Willie sa Wowowee?
“Wala naman ‘yan,” sagot ni Direk Bobot. “Siyempre, hindi ka naman basta-basta makikinig sa mga ‘yan. E, kung nakinig tayo sa mga petition, si PGMA [President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo] ang tagal nang nawala. Ang dami ring nagpe-petition sa kanya.”
Direk Bobot also denied reports on the web that Willie Revillame was suspended. He said that Willie asked for a two-week leave of absence after the incident. Nothing more, nothing less.

“Hindi, hindi. Nag-leave of absence talaga si Willie. Nagbakasyon siya, nung kailan ba? Humingi siya ng bakasyon after nung insidente.”
And yet, it was confirmed that Willie took all his belongings from his dressing room before he left. The reason is quite shallow. Direk Bobot said:
Kinumpirma rin ni Direk Bobot na hinakot na ni Willie ang mga gamit niya na nakalagay sa loob ng dressing room niya sa Wowowee.
“Personal niya yun, e. Siyempre, dalawang linggo siyang mawawala. Mga damit niya ‘yan, siyempre kukunin niya. Pati yung picture ng Will Theater na naka-frame sa loob, kailangang kunin yun dahil gagamitin ‘ata nung arkitekto niya,” sabi ni Direk Bobot.
But when asked about the impact of Willie’s absence on the show, Direk Bobot stated that the ratings remained the same:
IN WILLIE’S ABSENCE. Kumusta naman ang show ngayong wala si Willie?
“Okey naman. Okey pa rin ang ratings. Hindi naman bumababa. Siyempre, marami rin ang nakaka-miss sa kanya gaya nung mga nagra-rally sa labas ng ABS-CBN. Ang daming nagmamahal sa kanya,” sagot ni Direk Bobot.
Despite that, he also confirmed that Willie will be coming back to Wowowee on August 29th.
Totoo bang next week ay babalik na si Willie sa Wowowee?
“Oo,” diin ni Direk Bobot.
Kaugnay nito, may balita rin na nakatakdang bumalik sa Wowowee si Willie on August 29 pagkatapos ng naganap na meeting with ABS-CBN executives at ng TV host sa kanyang yate.

Another Filipino production is all set to make Pinoys proud.
Direk Yam Laranas, one of the few Filipino directors who have already directed a full-length feature in Hollywood, is the head of Asia’s Titanic, the first all-Filipino produced full-length documentary for the National Geographic Channel (NGC).
The cable channel is known for producing high-quality shows about science, nature, culture, and history. To be able to produce a documentary for NGC, the filmmaker must be able to pass a rigorous screening process administered by its top executives.

Reality TV contestant Ryan Alexander is “a person of interest” in the murder of Swimsuit model Jasmine Fiore. The model was found dead and stuffed in a suitcase and placed in a dumpster in Buena Park, California and efforts to locate Ryan Alexander has been futile. It is believed that he had fled to Canada.
32-year old Ryan Alexander, a Calgary native, disappeared and sources say that his black BMW SUV and boat trailer was found by a marina in Blaine, Washington close to the Canadian border.
The two were married briefly but the marriage was requested by Jenkins to be annulled back in May.
Ryan Alexander is now on top of Google trends being searched under “Ryan Alexander Wikipedia”

Alright peeps – there is very little wonder how this person got fired from her job. Lesson learned: Don’t befriend your co-workers in social media applications. Sometimes when we get absolutely frustrated, we don’t think twice in expressing our emotion or anger towards someone. It’s well and good to vent but not on social media applications – most specially if you’re profile is related to co-workers. It’s merely a death sentence.
Unless you want your co-workers to find out what you do outside of work, don’t befriend them. If you do, be careful of what you say.
It is hilarious now but I’m not sure if it wasn’t hilarious to either the boss or the employee on the above-captured FB Tweet.
Caster Semenya – A man or a woman?

Winner of the women’s 800m run at Berlin’s Track and Field World Championships. Caster Semenya won with a time of 1 minute and 55.45 seconds. However, Semenya is now undergoing gender testing to determine if she is male or female. Hmmm – - I couldn’t tell but from just looking at the picture, I could easily be mistaken in thinking she’s a man.. take a look at the pics and the video.

Rumors abound – - Luis Manzano and Angel Locsin. Apparently, they have agreed to keep it quiet but the rumor got out anyway. Or, this could be a publicity stunt for Luis Manzano’s upcoming “gay-themed” film with John Lloyd Cruz. Maybe to attract more viewers? Who knows.
According to Starmometer – even Angel’s manager would not confirm the rumor. I guess – we’ll have to wait and see!

‘Boys Over Flowers’ nearing finale

This must be a heart-breaker for the BOF fans. With its success in Philippine Television, BOF has become a part of the Filipino water cooler conversation. It was embraced similarly like other famous teleseryes. It doesn’t matter if it is dubbed, it doesn’t matter if the actors are not Filipinos – - the viewers could relate.
Huling linggo na ng Koreanovelang Boys Over Flowers na nagpakilig at nagpa-ibig sa atin sa mga bidang sina Goo Jun Pyo, Geum Jan Di, Yoon Ji Hoo, Kim Joon, at Kim So Eun. Mula nang ipalabas ito sa Kapamilya network noong Mayo, consistent itong naging isa sa top-rating programs sa primetime block.
Samantala, kahit na magtatapos ang BOF ngayong Biyernes, Agosto 21, mayroon namang BOF TV special next week, mula Agosto 24-28 na magpapakita ng behind-the-scenes ng nasabing teleserye. Willie Revillame sent a letter to ABS-CBN to rescind his contract.
Is this it folks? Is this what the public wanted? Well, I guess your wish may have just been granted. According to ABS-CBNnews.com:
Funfare’s Bohol Avenue DPA said that last Friday Revillame sent a letter to the ABS-CBN management requesting that his contract, which is good until 2011, be rescinded. – Source
Willie Revillame’s complain is that ABS-CBN didn’t even stand behind him when he received “a firestorm” of complaints and petition of his ouster in the popular game show, “Wowowee”. It was only Johnny M who has come out to his defense but clearly not to say that he’s not at fault but to explain fully what had occurred.
The lady whom Willie referred to during his statements (Linggit Tan) who was supposed to be responsible for the insertion of the inset of Former President Aquino’s funeral during the show has remained quiet.
The report stated that ABS-CBN is usually quick to respond about allegations against their stars. They quickly responded to the media during the “Piolo Pascual and Sam Milby Issue” when their gender was questioned due to unconfirmed reports about the two gentleman seen flirting with each other.
The question is, will the people who signed the petition authored by Roel C. Saguisag be content now that Willie has turned in a request to rescind his contract? Is this the end of Willie Revillame?
There is no confirmation just yet whether this is a resignation or whatever the request means. According to the news source,
Funfare tried to call Revillame to comment on whether he’s “resigning” from Wowowee or asking to be released from his contract but he ”cannot be reached.”

Whew! Let’s catch our breath here for a moment. What a year this has been. I normally put out the status of Chuva Chienes dot com’s ranking on the net but I haven’t done so lately because I really wasn’t sure anymore which ranking is accurate and which is not.
Technorati rankings vary and they rank according to backlinks but I believe that those links expire every six months or so. You can have a great ranking when you join viral tags and then it will drop after six months. So, I just didn’t report it anymore.
But this one is one cool site. PinoyMoneyTalk.com started tracking the performance of Philippine blogs through Alexa’s ranking computation and last quarter, my blog made it at #51. It wasn’t on the TOP 50 but my blog was one of the “predicted” ones to make it to the TOP 50 this quarter. Sure enough – - Chuva Chienes dot com entered the TOP 50 as 7th under the TOP GAINERS with 31% increase in Alexa Rating. Whew. That is simply awesome.
Wala lang – gusto ko lang magyabang..

I was watching NBC Today Podcast on my Ipod this afternoon when they showed a video of Dr. Conrad Murray, Michael Jackson’s personal physician who is being accused by many to be the one who administered the drug Propofol (Diprivan) to Michael Jackson before he died.
The video talks about thanking his supporters, how he’s afraid to answer emails and phone calls due to the death threats he has received. It was reported as well that he has now hired a body guard just to ensure his safety.

Appearing calm and collected daw, Willie responded regarding accusations made by many of his “detractors”. In my view, magaling talaga si Willie with reference to hosting Wowowee and let us not deny that he is well-loved by many people most specially our lolos and lolas. He makes them smile, he entertains them. To our lolos and lolas, Willie is a big-hearted, fun-to-watch-kinda-guy. He has many fans and this is clearly visible when he launched his music CDs. If you really step back and take a look at the whole situation, the commenters and signers of the Petition are mostly TFC subscribers. Calling them “detractors” may be a little too harsh because they are supporters of the Network where Willie resides. To have 56 thousand signatures worldwide demanding his ouster could be significant if we say that these people are simply “Willie haters”… that’s a lot of people to hate one game show host I would say.
He has many supporters – that’s for sure – but howcome the Petition to bring him back to Wowowee has only garnered 820 signatures as of this writing? – filed by Tagahanga ni Willie (wowowillie27@yahoo.com)

Regarding Johnny M’s defense of willie
“He knows the truth,” he says. “He’s a dignified man. Di naman nya yun gagawin kung may mali ako eh. Pag may mali ako, papagalitan ako nun.”
Regarding accusations that he doesn’t treat his staff well
“My staff has been calling me, they’re crying,’We miss you. We miss seeing you come in the studio early,’” he shares. “They’re lucky having me on the show, kasi lahat pinapakialaman ko talaga kasi dapat ganun ka ka-involved. You should be professional, but you should have a good heart.”
Regarding knowing his true friends
“I’ve talked to my friends, I’ve talked to my lawyers, Itold them at a meeting, I might go, I might resign from Wowowee,” confirming the issue that he has intentions to resign. “Everybody’s,’No, don’t do that.’ Sabi ko, it would still be my decision.”
Millie Gurfinkel (Atty. Gurfinkel’s wife) praised Willie
“You know how when he is having lunch and then there are fans waiting for him,” she relates. “He would stand up. You know normally a star would say, okay, you know, wait, let me just finish my food. He won’t let the fans wait.”

However, his decision to leave or not to leave the show is one thing where he would make us wait. As of this writing, there is no clear word yet on whether Willie will resign from the show or not. Willie has a scheduled meeting with Gabby Lopez III, the current Chairman and CEO of ABS-CBN on Thursday, Aug. 20, which will most probably be instrumental in Willie’s resolve of this issue. Whatever his decision may be, there is no doubt that the whole world will be waiting with bated breath.

I could already tell that this is one hilarious film. From the synopsis and movie trailer, we can’t go wrong with Eugene Domingo. Eugene Domingo, known for her one-liners and commercials will be launched with a starring role on her latest film, Kimmy Dora (Kambal sa Kiyeme). Paired with the number three of the 25 sexiest men in the world, Dingdong Dantes - this movie is sure to entertain you and keep you laughing.
Did you know that I (Chuva Chienes) received an invitation from the marketing people of Kimmy Dora to attend the press conference? Yup – unfortunately, I’m not in Manila – otherwise I would have gone. I will surely meet them here should the team travel to the US.
Here’s the synopsis:
Oo, kambal.
Si Kimmy ang panganay. Ambisiyosa, maabilidad at dominante. Hard-working si Kimmy, at ramdam yan sa Go Dong Hae Group of Companies. Kaya lang, may ugali. Maldita, hindi tuloy ganun kalapit sa kanyang papa. ‘Di gaya ni Dora.
Si Dora, maaaring hawig ni Kimmy sa hitsura (kambal nga diba?). But that’s where their similarities end. Dahil kung anong ikinataray ni Kimmy, siya namang ikinasweet ni Dora. Kimmy is driven, sandamakmak ang accomplishments in life at katakot-takot ang pagka-smart. Samantalang si Dora… well… hindi siya ganun ka-smart. Ubod ng inosente, happy-go-lucky at madaling magtiwala sa tao. Walang sumiseryoso sa kanya, though everyone likes her more than her twin sister. Kimmy may be extraordinary, pero walang dudang special din si Dora… very special indeed.
Labis ang pagmamahal ni Luisito kay Dora. Okay na lang sana yun kay Kimmy, pero pati si Johnson – and lalaking matagal na niyang pinagpapantasyahan (to the max) – kay Dora nahuhumaling! At kahit ano pang effort ang gawin ni Kimmy para siya’y mapansin, wa’ epek… dahil Johnson’s heart belongs to none other than…Dora.
To add insult to injury, ginawa pang tagapagmana ng Go Dong Hae empire si Dora matapos mapilitang mag-early retirement ang kanilang ama! First her father, then her fantasy lover, now this business matter??? Eh di abot langit na ang bwisit ni Kimmy kay Dora!
Naku! Trouble ito! Sa galit, Kimmy starts making arrangements para once and for all mawala na sa buhay niya si Dora! No more Dora, no more problem! Goons are hired to kidnap Dora — but NO! Nang si Kimmy ay mapagkamalang si Dora, imbis na si Dora, nakidnap si Kimmy kaya ngayon si Kimmy ang nasa pwesto ni Dora, at si Dora kailangang maging si Kimmy! Teka! Again, again, again… Ano daw?!

Star Power: Judy Ann Santos to endorse Kiko Pangilinan for Vice President 2010
We know how close Judy Ann Santos and Sharon Cuneta are. They are practically sisters and have treated each other with respect and admiration. Judy Ann Santos’ endorsement of Senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan is no surprise but it adds weight to the Senator’s pull.
Why? Judy Ann Santos and Ms. Sharon Cuneta are known to be “pang masa”. They appeal to all. Rich or poor, man or woman, gay or straight – - it doesn’t matter. They both have star power.
The thing is, if one knows what Kiko Pangilinan is doing on the side (Register and Vote), brainchild of Judicial Executive Legislative Advisory and Consultative Council (JELAC), conceptualized “Barangay Dos” and many other initiatives – one may say – he doesn’t need star power. He can carry his own.
But this is politics. Whether you like it or not, star power does count. If you have the support of big names such as Sharon and Judy Ann, one can never tell where it will take Kiko Pangilinan.
