Chuvahotness # 21 – Male Model Akihiro Sato

akihiro_sato_dec08-1

Brazilian-Japanese Model Akihiro Sato is a professional model in the Philippines and have become the most famous male model in the country in 2008.

I must tell you all, from visiting Brazil earlier this month I can say . . . “There’s more where he came from!”  Haha!  I don’t mean to say that Akihiro Satos are scattered all over Brazil but there are plenty of hot-looking guys there.  Granted, Akihiro has the IT FACTOR and that is why he was in the position that he was last year.

Kate (minus Jon) Plus 8 – TLC Confirms

art.jongosselin.gi

According to CNN.com’s entertainment website, TLC is letting go of Jon Gosselin and keeping Kate Gosselin in the famous reality show, Jon and Kate plus 8. The network confirmed on Tuesday that Jon will not be back on the show and that the show will be renamed Kate plus 8.

Since the highly publicized separation and divorce of Jon and Kate last June, the network believes that Kate’s presence is one that resonates more with their viewers and that “the new show will take a deeper focus on Kate’s role in the family and her journey as a single mother building the next chapter in her life”.

I am wondering how this new chemistry will work.  The network did say that they will keep their “exclusive relationship” with Jon and that he will appear on future episodes although not on a “regular basis”.

Let’s see how it goes.

7.9 Magnitue Earthquake hits American Samoa

mamsamoa

What is going on?!  I have friends in American Samoa who’s lived there for almost two decades.  When I read the news all I could think of was, “What’s going on?!”  The Philippines just suffered a major disaster with the flooding that resulted from typhoon Ondoy and now this?

I hope that my friends are okay and that a Tsunami is not imminent.

The news read:

A 7.9 magnitude earthquake struck off American Samoa on Wednesday, according to the US Geological Survey.

The epicenter of the quake was located 190 km southwest of the remote Pacific island. It struck at a depth of 33 km.

An earthquake of this magnitude is capable of causing a tsunami, although there were no immediate reports of this occurring.

A tsunami warning was issued for New Zealand and other small Pacific islands following the earthquake.

The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center, a branch of the US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, issued the warning.

A tsunami watch was in effect for Hawaii, Papua New Guinea and other small Pacific islands.

The agency noted that its warning did not mean a tsunami had necessarily been generated by the quake. The warning was issued because a quake of this magnitude had the power to generate a destructive tsunami, it said.

In 2004, a quake in the Indian Ocean generated a powerful tsunami that killed tens of thousands people in Asia. – Source

What’s going on??!!! Los Angeles Times reports that no warning is necessary for the Pacific Coast of California, Oregon or Washington. Samoans were asked to move to higher grounds.

I hope that there are no casualties and that the damages are minimal.

First time ever: Spain’s First Daughters Photographed

no_paparazzi_1_lg

It is quite unique. We know that for security purposes, celebrities or high-profile individuals usually shield their children from the media. Michael Jackson’s children were never exposed until after his death. Needless to say, it is for the best interest of the children that this is usually done.

In the case of the Prime Minister of Spain’s children, it was a different story. Prime Minister Jose Luiz Rodriguez Zapatero’s children have been protected by the Spanish media. They were never photographed in public. But when the family was visiting New York to meet with the Obama’s – a photograph taken of the family (including daughter Laura, 16 and Alba, 13) would have been the ultimate family portrait. Imagine a family photo opp with the Obamas? Little did the Prime Minister know that pictures taken are uploaded to the State Department’s Flickr page.

The photos were immediately published in front pages of newspapers in Spain and this was the first time that the girls were seen in photographs. The thing of it is, the girls were dressed in calf-high black boots and what seemed to be labeled as “goth clothing”. The Spanish Prime Minister requested that the photos not be published but it was a little too late.

You can see the photo through this link.

I don’t usually stay up late during the weeknights but on weekends, I would stay up just because I want to extend my weekend… haha!  This past weekend’s premiere of SNL (Saturday Night Live) was really good specially with Megan Fox as guest.

However, there was an incident where Jenny Slate “accidentally” dropped the F-bomb and you could even see in her face that she realized what she did…

Is “3″ a going to be a hit for Britney – Lyrics

According to E-Online:

The only new track to appear on her forthcoming compilation, The Singles Collection, the fun-with-numbers song—which debuted this morning on New York’s Z100—features such thought-provoking lyrics as “everybody loves counting,” “come out and play,” and, oh yes, the ad nauseam repetition of “1, 2, 3.”

What do you think?

UPDATE: Listen to “3?, HERE.

Above is the official cover art for Britney Spears’ “3?.

Get the lyrics after the jump.

1, 2, 3
Not only you and me
Got one eighty degrees
And I’m caught in between
Countin’
1, 2, 3
Peter, Paul & Mary
Gettin’ down with 3P
Everybody loves ***
Countin’

Babe, pick a night
To come out and play
If it’s alright
What do you say?

Merrier the more
Triple fun that way
Twister on the floor
What do you say?

Are – you in
Livin’ in sin is the new thing (yeah)
Are – you in
I am countin’!

1, 2, 3
Not only you and me
Got one eighty degrees
And I’m caught in between
Countin’
1, 2, 3
Peter, Paul & Mary
Gettin’ down with 3P
Everybody loves ***
Countin’

Three is a charm
Two is not the same
I don’t see the harm
So are you game?

Lets’ make a team
Make ‘em say my name
Lovin’ the extreme
Now are you game?

Are – you in
Livin’ in sin is the new thing
Are – you in
I am countin’!

1, 2, 3
Not only you and me
Got one eighty degrees
And I’m caught in between
Countin’
1, 2, 3
Peter, Paul & Mary
Gettin’ down with 3P
Everybody loves ***

What we do is innocent
Just for fun and nothin’ meant
If you don’t like the company
Let’s just do it you and me
You and me…
Or three….
Or four….
On the floor

Gerald Anderson is not expecting an acting award for Tayong Dalawa

Gerald Anderson has definitely gone a long way since his days as a housemate of Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition three years ago. After doing teleseryes and movies, the Fil-American cutie from General Santos City is now hailed as one of the ‘Princes of Primetime television.’ Gerald earned rave reviews for his portrayal of man in uniform David ‘JR’ Garcia Jr. in the top rating teleserye Tayong Dalawa. ABS-CBN.com spoke with Gerald during the farewell party for the teleserye last September 25 where he thanked all the viewers who made Tayong Dalawa a big success. Thank you for continuously supporting the show at kami rin po.

The 20-year-old actor shed his boy-next-door image to play a more mature role in Tayong Dalawa. The move may be considered a big risk for young star like him, but with enough hard work and determination, Gerald’s gamble paid off as fans and critics are now calling him a ‘certified actor’ because of Tayong Dalawa. During the said farewell party, Gerald also earned acclaims from his Tayong Dalawa directors Ruel Bayani and Trina Dayrit and Business Unit Head Deo Endrinal.

As early as now, there are those who are predicting that Tayong Dalawa may bring Gerald his very first acting award. However, the young actor’s mind is not fixed solely on snatching a trophy.

Gerald also told ABS-CBN.com that he will surely miss playing JR Garcia. He said he hopes he get to do another character similar to JR or a teleserye in the same drama caliber as Tayong Dalawa. “Nasa puso ko na si JR forever. Playing the character is something I will miss very much.

If Gerald’s image and acting matured in Tayong Dalawa, has his relationship with leading lady and long time ka-love team Kim Chiu evolved too? Although the young man had been very vocal about his feelings for Kim, the two have yet to become officially an item.

Since it’s his first time to work with the talented young actress, Coco is discovering many good things about her, especially about her work ethics. Malalim siyang katrabaho at malalim siyang tao. And then nakikita ko kasi ‘yungpagpupursige sa ginagawa niya.”

Cristine Reyes shares her rather traumatic ‘Typhoon Ondoy’ experience

Official Statement of Jacque Bermejo on her alleged Facebook comment posted by P2BPinoy

SIA-Hoax_lede

A comment was left on my post regarding the “alleged insensitive comment” made by a certain Jackie (Jacque) Bermejo. The story is so unreal that one may guess that it is definitely a hoax or a hacked account. I apologize for being too quick to judge as well because I was one of the people angered by the comment but it surely can be a work of a hacker and an insensitive one at that. There are many hoax Twitter and Facebook accounts now that are popping up just so that it can ruffle the feathers of the patriotic Filipinos all over the world.

Here’s the “alleged” official statement published by p2bpinoy which was said to have been received through email.

There are many celebrities offering their help and providing hands-on help just like this KC. Gerald Anderson looks much much cuter now after a photo of Gerald spread over the internet like wildfire when he risked his own safety to make sure that his neighbors are okay.

Kim Chiu and Gerald Anderson to team up in a movie and a teleserye

I just really wanted to do Tayong Dalawa really really good and (to be) the best I could, so binigay kong lahat.”

Vilma Santos has mixed emotions with In My Life’s successful US premiere

“Jackie Bermejo” “Jacque Bermejo” – A *itch by any other name is still a *itch!

jackie bermejo

Filipinos, Non-Filipinos, Pinoy Celebrities and even Hollywood Celebrities are pulling together to help the victims of Ondoy. The Barrio Siete Bayanihan fund just crossed over the $1,000 dollar (PhP 57K) mark. We are all devastated with the news and many are still homeless.   We heard of Gerald Anderson braving the flood to help and we read about KC Concepcion helping out as well.

Howcome there are still insensitive people out there then? Have you heard the Case of Jackie Bermejo? She claims that her account was hacked and that she didn’t personally put the comment there.

Many Filipinos are outraged by the insensitive comment that she made on her Facebook Account.  It didn’t take that long for the flurry of angry Filipinos to lambast her about her insensitivity.   Her comment?

A Facebook Group was set up to let this individual know that Pinoys were not happy about her stupid comment.  Her multiply account is now filled with counter messages from Pinoys all over the globe.

At hindi lang yon.. there’s also another picture of Mikey Arroyo buying liquor while the wrath of Ondoy is takes its disastrous toll.  Ano ba?  I think he just sealed his political future coffin and dug his political future grave so deep that there’s no saving it.

Gerald Anderson braves deep flood waters to check on neighbors

In the showbiz world, Gerald Anderson is a heartthrob, a hunky cover boy, and an actor with promising talent to boot. But to his neighbors he is just Gerald, the concerned boy who braved deep floodwaters caused by typhoon Ondoy to check if his neighbors were okay.

Now, if you happen to be a neighbor of Gerald Anderson looking out the window, you may think that the young man was acting out a rescue scene for a telenovela, ready to plunge down in the muddy waters and pull out the leading lady from the depths. But this is reality. There are no lights and cameras and leading ladies, only action and reaction in an unavoidable situation in which lives were at stake. Gerald had to calculate decisions and do what was right.

The Puma Index – The most exciting way to follow the Market

Ha! And you thought finance and economics is boring. Not anymore.

Puma has a new index that will track the stock market for you and instead of simply watching tickers and symbols, this one will display a man or a woman (of your choosing) lose pieces of clothing when the market goes down. If they market completely collapses (we hope not) the guy or girl will lose all of their clothing down to their Puma TM Bodywear.

The welcome message goes:

The Puma Index is a global stock ticker with a twist. When the market goes down, our model’s clothes come off – right down to their Puma Bodywear.  At least when you lose your shirt, at least they do too!

One thing for sure, the GUY is cute! And while the market is closed, he sleeps… fun huh?!

The Biggest Party of the Year is here!

red_carpet

Well, mga ka-chika!  This is it.  Another year is almost over and the fact is, the Butse Gang haven’t had much parties this year.  Haller!  Recession kaya! Haha!  Kaya naman, we opted to do the minimal things lang to get together and have fun.  The group gets together every second Friday of the month for the Jaded Lounge event hosted by ASIAC here in Philadelphia.  It’s for a good cause and friends get the chance to get together and slip away from their very busy schedules.

The last big thing that the Butse Gang did was camping at a gay camp somewhere in Pennsylvania.  I cannot remember the name of the camp… mashonda na me… LOL.

Anyway – - highway, tonight will be the biggest event ever.  One of the Butse Gang members will turn the big *O.

And we love parties.  Kaya naman, the party tonight will be the biggest party we will have this year… ready na ang mga traje de boda at sabi nga ni Bryanboy, “It’s never too early for sequins!!”  Hahaha.

I will be back to post pictures of the event.. kaya balik lang kayo mga ka-chika!

There has been no war since 1971. So there is so much more excitement in this match”. A critic may dismiss it as a diabolic sense of humour and pardon the imaginative commentator but nevertheless it was not far from the truth.
