Amazing. Apparently this started back in April 21, 2009 and I didn’t know about it. I was browsing through CNN Videos to see what I can share with my readers when I found this to be the most popular one. I watched it and I was amazed.
Sheena Matheiken has and will continue to wear the same dress for one year. It’s an excercise in sample fashion. It’s a fundraiser dubbed as The Uniform Project and was done to raise awareness to fund education of children in India. Take a look. I love it!

I loved this show and to think that is has been 25 years since the show became a hit in 1984 amazes me. I was one year old when the first episode aired… hahahaha!! Charing!
Anyway, The Cosby Show is one of the television hits in the 80s that helped shape the culture of American television. It was first praised by critics for its innovative approach to portray the American family and then criticized for not being realistic in its portrayal. You know, a doctor and a lawyer team, husband and wife, children in school and so forth… but apparently those critics didn’t know many African American people.
Even so, the show was a hit and to this day you can still watch re-runs that continues to make people laugh. Created by Bill Cosby, Michael Leeson and Ed. Weinberger

TNS National TV Ratings (Sept. 22-24): Tayong Dalawa claims top spot as it bids farewell

ABS-CBN’s primetime series Tayong Dalawa is scheduled to air its final episode tonight, September 25. But it will leave primetime television on a high note as it topped the ratings game the last two nights—Wednesday and Thursday—based on the latest survey of Taylor Nelson Sofres (TNS) among national households.
The Kapamilya network’s primetime newscast TV Patrol World took the top slot last Tuesday.
Meanwhile, since Willie Revillame’s return to Wowowee, the ABS-CBN noontime show was able to regain its No. 1 position in the daytime race.
AGB Mega Manila TV Ratings (Sept. 22-24): Tayong Dalawa grabs top spot from Darna

A night before its farewell episode, ABS-CBN’s primetime series Tayong Dalawa was able to topple GMA-7′s fantaserye Darna for the No. 1 spot in the primetime race, based on the latest overnight ratings conducted by AGB Nielsen Philippines among Mega Manila households. This is the first time that Darna failed to top the ratings game since its debut last August 10.
Tayong Dalawa posted a rating of 36.4 percent last night, September 24, while Darna got 35.4 percent. It’s interesting to find out if Tayong Dalawa will able to repeat its victory on its final episode tonight, Sept. 25.
Except for last night’s slump, Darna still dominates the primetime race, topping both the Tuesday and Wednesday ratings.

Fame Movie 2009 – Opens tonight
I was very young (wink wink) when the first Fame movie came out in 1980. I loved it! Music, dance and all that jazz.
Well, tonight the remake of the 1980s film FAME will be out in theaters. I really don’t have plans tonight so I think I’ll be watching. I’ll give you a review once I see it. I hope it’s good enough that I won’t feel like I just took Ambien CR pills while watching..

I can’t wait to watch the movie, IN MY LIFE. The come-back film of Ate Vi has surely become a hit among fans and the trio between her, Luis Manzano and John Lloyd Cruz was such a perfect chemistry that I expected the movie to become a serious hit.
And it has. With a reported amount of 80 million pesos earned on its first week, the film is definitely a hit. But, word-of-mouth has its powers. It came to light that the “highly-anticipated kissing scene” between John Lloyd Cruz and Luis Manzano was taken out of the film for reasons we are still unclear about.

According to SNN, dumating na raw ang mga potential global housemates ng next season ng Pinoy Big Brother Double Up. Their identities were kept hidden. The team were incognito wearing shades and caps so that they won’t be recognized.
The official housemates are soon to be announced although it was said that two of the potential global housemates already quit the game. An Austrian bombshell who is totally in love with her new boyfriend and another one who is from Pampanga found out that she is pregnant. She is one of the shortlisted candidate – and according to the producers, they will still verify if she is totally out and verify her current condition. Who are they? The only downside is – bakit another film about hustlers again? Is that the only gay-theme we can think of when making indie films? Dahil naging success ang Macho Dancer ni Lino Brocka hindi ibig sabihin eh lahat ng gay-themed film is about hustlers… that’s my opinion.

Henri David Ball 2009 – Philadelphia

My search results is showing a lot of people trying to find the schedule for this year’s Henri David Halloween Ball. I thought I’d make a post out of it to provide information to the readers that are looking for this year’s festivities schedule.
I have been going to the Henri David Ball since I moved to the Philly area in 1997. There were a few years that I missed but I have been going faithfully during the last 5 years. It is the biggest Halloween Ball in town. Governor Ed Rendell stops by every year and mingles with the attendees.
I can pretty much say that it’s one of the wildest parties in Philadelphia. The costumes are magnificent. And if you are thinking of going, better be dressed to impress!! If you are not dressed, you may be charged up to $60 dollars when you can pay only $25.00 (last year’s price) if you are in a costume.
There are no concrete schedule just yet but I know that it is ALWAYS celebrated on October 31st regardless of what day of the week it is. There were a few years that I had to take the next day off because October 31st fell on a weekday.
THIS YEAR, HALLOWEEN IS ON A SATURDAY! I am sure that the event will be packed because no one has to take the day off the next day.
Come on and party!! I will release the details as soon as I hear about it and the price for entrance this year when available.

Can a woman get pregnant while she’s pregnant? Again?
This is shockingly weird ay? What’s funny is that everyone knows that women who are pregnant do not stop having sex but there’s just no proof to back it up (well, physical proof!). Haha!
Now there is one! Apparently, a woman from Fort Smith, AR who is already pregnant conceived again after two and a half weeks and was discovered while she was going through the regular ultra sound check up. The babies are not considered twins but would be born separately. One at the end of this year and the other earlier next year.
This is a very rare occurrence and it is known to be called – superfetation. Superfetation is defined as “successive fertilization of two or more ova of different ovulations resulting in the presence of embryos of unlike ages in the same uterus”.
Interesting huh?

Director FM Reyes on Lovers in Paris: ‘It’s difficult for us to make this work’
Since Lovers in Paris (LIP) will soon be replacing fan favorite Tayong Dalawa, members of the entertainment press wondered whether the Koreanovela adaptation could duplicate the success of the top-rating teleserye. But director FM Reyes (Lobo and Sana’y Wala ng Wakas) has no worries regarding this since LIP is far from being an action soap or a dramatic family saga like its predecessor. “Actually kaya hindi kami naprepressure dun, unang una sa pagkakaiba ng genre. Malaki talaga ang hatak ng ganong klaseng teleserye. And for a romantic comedy, we’re offering a totally different flavor. Ang isa pang issue sa viewers ay highest rating Koreanovela ang Lovers in Paris dito sa Philippines. Sabi ko sa team namin, hindi yun ang worry natin. The Gaydar Experiment on Facebook – Are you revealing too much?
I read that two MIT students ran an experiment using social media giant, FACEBOOK to determine if and whether a person is gay by using a formula to look at your affiliation, friends, religion blah blah blah and it could actually provide details that would likely say whether you’re gay or not?! Huh!!!
To a degree, I would agree. Just by looking at your associations on FB, no matter how you hide your true identity, one can pretty much guess whether you have the sling or the swing! I, for one could tell you that after comments left by my gay friends on my photos – I can assure you that no one in the world still think that I’m straight unless they are in super dooper denial (my eldest sister) and think that I’m still a good match for the nurse that she knows from the hospital where she works.
But affiliation to groups and religion? Maybe. I mean, most of the gays I know are Democrats and if 80 per cent of their friends are men… yeah… no-brainer there. But I do have gay Republican friends as well.

ELECTION WATCH: Manny Villar’s camp denies offering VP or senatorial slot to Willie Revillame

The Nacionalista Party (NP) has denied reports that it had asked TV host Willie Revillame to be the running mate of its standard-bearer, Senator Manny Villar, for the 2010 elections.
In a press conference held yesterday, September 22, in the Senate, NP spokespersons Gilbert Remulla and Adel Tamano said the party had not even discussed the tandem’s possibility.
Tamano even joked that Willie, who returned on his noontime show Wowowee last Monday, Sept. 21, after more than a month-long absence, could only run in a marathon, and not in a race to the two highest positions in the land.
Philippine Medical Association slaps two-year suspension on Dr. Hayden Kho

If the videos were taken with the alleged victims in agreement, I would think that the suspension is bogus because it would have been an agreement between consenting adults and the only mishap would have been the leakage of the videos. But since Hayden didn’t disclose to his partners that the video was being taken, he deserves this.

Although he and Toni Gonzaga have been together for two years now, Paul Soriano revealed that he still gets a bit jealous about girlfriend Toni having onscreen partners. “In the beginning, I was adjusting to the whole showbiz world, all her leading men.
